I'm new to the area and needed to find a place to groom my little pup. The owner was great at getting back to me through text message (as their voicemail states). Unfortunately there was a mixup and she scheduled me for a day when they are closed, she apologized profusely and gave me a discount on the grooming service! Very attentive and genuinely wanted to make up for her mistake. Shampoochies did a great job grooming my little pup, she generally doesn't like being groomed so I appreciate that they gave her special attention. They also don't force the dogs to be blow dried if they don't like to be, and will wait for them to air dry if needed. Ki loves everyone at Shampoochies. He always so excited to go and he always comes back smelly great but not perfumed, with a coat so silky and soft. Strangers regularly comment on how wonderful his coat feels and how good he smells. This is even 3 days after he's been groomed and has been playing hard for those days. When I wanted to bring him weekly, they said he didn't need it - so no false up-selling which I appreciate. They now have a day play offering with great prices. While I've transition to more work from home, so he doesn't need to go to day play as often, I wouldn't hesitate to send him there if he needed to burn off some extra energy or needed the interaction of other dogs. Okay, I see a lot of people complaining about their time response or how long they're dog was there. First of all, they're are 4 people working there. They're amazing and take their time to appreciate and love the dog's especially if your dog is well behaved and doesn't bite or jump on them. They take their time with each dog individually. They do the job done right, especially if you give them the proper instructions. Secondly, like any business.. They are very very busy. They will not pick up the phone sometimes because they're incredibly busy and it's only 4 people. Meaning 4 dogs at a time, and being properly washed. Because that's what hard working people do. Sometimes, as humans we also over stress and over worry. So as humans be patient with them, if patience is something you don't have. Then please don't waste their time, nor your energy. I've been with them forever, and my two dogs are always so happy to go there and leave back very happy & relaxed. they are there for 6 or 4 hours but that's perfectly fine because I understand that they're busy. If I see my dogs happy. Then I'm happy they're happy. I've never had a problem with them. Also sticky situations happen. That completely normal.. we're all humans, we all make mistakes. Per another review: First I would just like to say that Ive never been here, but I want to, & I understand that people are busy-- it's a business. But if a business wants customers, they have to ACTUALLY answer the phone for paying customers. How can you get an appointment if no one is there or people are working so much they can't answer? I've been using Shampoochies , on a monthly basis, for close to a year to groom my pet after I was unable to continue doing her myself. At first, they would call for me to pick her up after a 3-1/2 to 4 hour period. Then it started to take a little longer until today when they had my pet from 11 am until 5 pm (6 hours). During that 6 hours, my pet appears to have received a bath, had been combed out, and 2 of her legs had been trimmed. My pet is a Schnauzer and the most combing/trimming she needs is on her legs and the small amount skirting around her sides. After being in the shop for 6 hours NOTHING had been clipped on her head/ears or her body. I had tried to call to find out when she would be ready, after my pet had been there 4 hours, however, my calls went to voicemail and I received no response. I do not know where they kept my pet for most of the day but I do know no one gave her the type of attention she deserved or I had scheduled her for. Still a satisfied customer! I recently took my GSD to PetSmart for grooming because of timing and I will never do it again. I paid extra for the " furminator" at PetSmart and my GSD was immediately shedding clumps. You can definitely tell the difference from "the other guys" vs Shampoochies. Like many dog owners, I do not take my dog baby to just anyone and Shampoochies is the best place I could've found for my dog. I have been taking my dog here for about a year now and every time I go I always have such a pleasant experience. They love and take care of the animals like it is their own. My dog always get the full grooming service: hair cut, teeth brushing, bath, clipping of nails, and so much more.
