Prices are competitive with other grooming places. I like they offer to let your dog "play" with the others as opposed to waiting in a crate until the groomer is ready. My puppy goes to The PawPlex at least twice a week. When we arrive he can't wait to get in the door and once inside he is so excited to see the other dogs! The girls at PawPlex are super sweet and when I pick up my puppy they always tell me what a sweet puppy he is and an interesting thing he did that day. Took my shihtzu here once before and liked this place. Took him back this past Saturday, 05/18/13 and the groomer stuck my dog in the eye and they didn't say a thing! My dog kept whining and the next day his eye was swollen shut. The vet confirmed a laceration as deep and wide as a pencil eraser and the dog is now recovering from a corneal ulcer! Not only cruel but extremely irresponsible and unprofessional-will NOT trust with my dog ever again. read more

I took my little guy, Max, here for hos most recent grooming & the Paw Plex did a really lovely job! They're just minutes away from my front door - such a great location! And everyone I came in contact with was extremely nice & knowledgeable; calling my little Maxie a "sweetie" and paying him all kinds of attention, even just for the few minutes after his hair 'do was complete, but before I'd arrived to pick him up. The listened to my requests & fluffed him up so preciously! Not to mention that his white fur coat was as white as I'd ever seen it - practically glowing :-) It was a bit more expensive than other places we've previously been & they asked about adding a tip, before I had the opportunity to write one in & sign my receipt, a little tacky. First and last time taking my dog here . Today i took my dog for a half day of daycare and dropped her off around 11:30am and made sure to tell the girl at the front that it was for a half day and when should i return . The girl said to just come back before they closed at 6. I came back at 4:30 PM and the girl at the front desk, it was a different one from before , charged me $22 , the half day price is $11 per their website . I figured maybe since it was her first time there was other Charges or maybe I didn't hear well and I was supposed to come pick her up earlier. The girl goes to get my dog and goes to the back for several minutes and comes back with a large white dog that is not mine. I look at her and tell her my dog is in the pen behind her at the front desk. She was in the pen that she was placed in When I dropped her off and she was in there crying and there was dog poop in the pen as well. I am pretty sure that on the computer it tells The employees the type of dog that belongs to each owner.Because of this experience I will not be taking my dog back here again. Update : the owner reached out the next day and offered a refund. Explained that every first visit is free so i should not have been charged to begin with . She also advise that the dogs are rotated every hour or so with being in the pen and playtime as well as poop in the pen being picked up whenever they can as soon as possible . The second employee i encountered was apparently new and did not know what kind of dog a daucshand (my dog) was and that is why she instead brought me out someone else's large white dog . read more

Love The Paw Plex. The staff is so friendly and professional, but laid back. They "GET" dogs and their humans. I always leave with a good feeling about having left my barky Schnauzer with them. They always give me a good report on how well he behaved and who he did and didn't get along with. They are straight up about any issues that arise and honestly, there haven't been any major ones. After driving around to three other places looking for Evo dog food for my husky I found it here. Of course, there were no prices on the dog food so I grabbed a bag and hoped for the best. It was pretty expensive ($33.10 for a 13.2 lbs bag) which is to be expected for premium dog food but still ouch! Anyway, the people were okay I felt like the lady checking me out was trying to rush me. I was also surprised at how small the place is there is a wall of dog food a little cart of food and then a grooming area and that's it. I'm sure I'll be back next time I need dog food unless I can find it at a place closer to my house. read more

I had my 2 pups there this summer, it was the only place where I could drop them off without having to do any behavior-temperament test before drop off. I just went in, showed the vaccine records, and off I went. when I came back my pups looked happy and healthy. they even gave me a tour of the facility which is neat because it means they have nothing to hide, what you see is what you get. suggestions: I was not told I needed to bring my own dog food when I first called. fortunately they had some "sample food" at their place I could use for the dogs while their stay. also i'd be nice if there were cameras so I could see my dogs online while I'm away. other than that it was a good and easy experience overall. the front desk girl was super nice :) read more

I have boarded my dog twice at the PawPlex and have had good experiences both times with staff, but today was anything but a pleasant experience. I walked into the store and from the door the young lady behind the counter said "Who is this?" with a very unfriendly tone. When I said my dogs name she responded with "For?" "For what?" again with an attitude. As I was checking in she continued to be very rude all while another dog behind the counter was barking. She grabbed the dog by the collar and pushed it into the room behind the front desk and slammed the door! I have never experienced this here and it made me very uneasy and hesitant about leaving my dog here. I feel this isn't normal, but because of this I do not see myself returning here. read more

I've been bringing Gabby to PawPlex for about a year now and she LOVES coming. The Staff is super with her and does exactly what I ask them to do. Her face is the hardest but, they do a FANTASTIC job all over and the hair around her eyes is gone which makes it great cause she can see again!! It seems like an okay place to leave your dog. Staff are friendly, too. Need to watch the charges as they may charge you for a suite when you just got a regular kennel (happened to us). We took our first rescue dog to the Pawplex for many years to get groomed. They took such good care of our Rocky! They always groomed him to our liking and always answered any questions that we had. The PawPlex has been our boarding choice for a couple different occasions and they have done a GREAT job so far. The main reason we started bringing our pets here was because they can board both dogs and cats, and we had 2 dogs and 1 cat and all our neighborhood kids grew up and moved away, so we had no one to come take care of our cat any longer. The last time we needed to board our pets there, one of our dogs had a seizure and subsequently passed away. The staff at PawPlex were instantly responsive and immediately took the dog to the emergency vet who did a great job with trying to save the dog's life. They didn't wait around for us to get him and they did everything they could to save him and keep him comfortable in their own vehicle to the vet. They immediately notified us as well, as they were on their way. When a tragedy like this occurs, you can't beat that instant caring and the professional knowledge of the staff. Although our beloved dog didn't make it, PawPlex gave it a valiant fight and did their best. I appreciated that more than they know. So, if you are away and your dog has an emergency, you can trust that PawPlex has the expertise on staff to immediately respond and make the right calls to care for your pet. read more

Made a reservation for today last week: was told they did not have a suite but they had a large run. I said that was fine as we needed to board our dogs due to a big party we were having. Sent all our records they sent a confirmation and when we arrived today, we were told they didn't have any room. They had our reservation but no room. Way to go. You could have called! I have a large long-haired snow dog. When I dropped her off I stressed the importance to dry her completely. This is a well-behaved dog who has been groomed every 4-8 weeks her entire life (she's 13). When I picked her up, she was visibly wet. The bather and groomer had left for the day. With the permission of the person working the store front, I ended up finishing the job using their grooming table and dryer. It took me about 20 minutes, and they did not charge me. When I saw the space where the dogs were caged I was very disappointed. Boxed fans covered in fur were attached to wire cages to blow air on the dogs. The space was covered in fur and needed to be vacuumed. Growing up my mom had a grooming business and perhaps I have high standards because of this. read more

The times I've taken my Shitzu, Ming, to get groomed here he always looked wonderful! It might be slightly more expensive than Pet smart grooming but you definitely get your moneys worth. (Update response below this review) I'm beyond shocked that this place is still open! DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE!! If you love your pooch, stay away!!! I wish I wrote this review sooner. Kacie is VERY VERY rude! Jason, the owner, doesn't care abort your dog or the promises he makes (when trying to fix this from a bad situation, he just wants your $$$). After having a bad incident with Ms. Rude Kacie- I decided to give them another shot, and also because I paid in advance- and Jason assured me that everything will be fine and that he would also give my smaller dog a free spa, to make up for what happened with Kacie. After 3-4 days, I go in to pick up my dogs, the pick up went smooth- my dogs were full of energy and excited to see me. I was handed a plastic bag with all my dogs stuff. Didn't think anything of it- except I noticed that my small dog wasn't given a bath, like Jason promised, I didn't want to create a scene again, so I let it go, and just moved on- because I knew I'd never want to put my dogs here again. Anyway- when I got home to Open the plastic bag, that had the dog leash (for my 55 lbs dog and his blanket)- I immediately smelled VOMIT- I took it out and saw that the blanket was DESTROYED (ripped up and dog vomit all over it) and my dogs leash had poop stains!! At first I thought it was dirt from the play area, but nope, it was POOP! I was FURIOUS!!!! This is what happened: they left my dog in the cage for tooooooo long, the poor baby got aggravated and ripped his blanket and vomited all over it! So he SLEPT ON HIS VOMIT! The most disappointing experience from all of this is that, no one mentioned this to me, when I picked up my dogs- no one told me that my dog threw up, I was just handed a bag and we were sent home. Very very dishonest! I still don't know why my dog had poop all over his leash. So please, DO NOT SEND YOUR FUR BABIES HERE!!!! (Joel replied below, so just because my pups were booked here and clearly abused, within 3 years ago, Doesn't mean that it didn't Happen! Is there a limitation to animal cruelty? He states many times in his reply that their facility improved and renovations, what good is that going to do with the treatment of the pets booked there??! I still think about my poor dog being there, he was probably locked in one of their very tiny kennel "boxes"' for too long, to have thrown up and pooped all over his blanket and leash!! What about the IMPROVEMENT ON STAFF AND ADDING CAMERAS SO OWNWRS CAN SEE THEIR BABIES? What about the regulations? I understand business owners have many challenges with employees and only have so much control. However, we are rating the business and not the people. My baby girl needed a quick bath and toenail trim I hadn't had time to do with a busy schedule. I requested an online appt and were able to accolade me last minute which really appreciated. She came home super happy and tired which usually means she was running around. Her coat was soft and shiny and nails were not too short or still sharp. Overall we had a very good experience this time around and will be back, I may even try the daycare to see how that goes. There are a lot of I recommended reviews on here so I'm not sure what is up with that but our experience was good the only thing I would recommend is a bow or bandana after grooming!!
