As a relatively recent transplant to the Valley I wasn't sure where to go for maternal support in…read morethe Valley. I happened to walk by this place at their old location on Ventura and am happy that later on I walked in. They carry some great and really reasonably priced breastfeeding supplies. I got a fantastic basic nursing bra for under $15, various parts for my pump, and my favorite milk storage bags (which are biodegradable and the same cost of the ones at Target which aren't). The selection of baby things (especially if you're looking for a baby gift) isn't particularly robust, but they truly have what you need to nurse. The new location is in my opinion, leaps and bounds better than the old. The space for classes is bigger, and parking (which you can find in the back) is much easier. It's also close to the VNSO park and trader joes so it's easy to swing by. I also cannot recommend highly enough the mommy-and-me classes I took there with Danielle Brooks. As a second time mom in wasn't sure if I needed a mommy-and-me class, but someone mentioned her class to me and I took a chance to go to it. Danielle truly taught me how to be a better mom, from gently crib training the baby to soothing the toddlers tantrums. It was one of the best decisions I made! All in all, this place is a great resource for moms in the Valley!

She offers classes, boutique breastfeeding gear and baby and mom fashion. They've moved from their Ventura Blvd store to Hazletine street in Sherman Oaks, which is great for me because it closer than ever. If you need to rent a breast pump or othe breastfeeding gear go to the Pump Connection and see Rebecca for the best service.

Due to COVID they were not offering any in-person consultations, but they called me within just a day or so of entering my info on their website and a lactation consultant spent a large amount of time on the phone with me. She answered all my questions with confidence and gave me some tips and tricks. After our call, she followed up by sending me links to reputable articles backing up everything she told me. I would 100% recommend reaching out to Baby Cafe if you have ANY breastfeeding questions! Very, very helpful

She was a fountain of knowledge, provided stretches and was just kind to my anxious weary self. She referred me to a local pediatric dentist who further helped with our breastfeeding struggles ( lip + tongue tie). The support/ help didn't stop after that procedure, I went after his procedure for more guidance to make sure our journey thrived. Here I am almost 7 months into our breastfeeding journey and it's been amazing. Cannot thank her ever enough for the help she provided. Grateful for Baby Cafe!!!

I would absolutely recommend Pacific Midwifery to anyone looking for a deeply personal and intimate relationship between patient and doctor where you can feel safe and open and be truly cared for. I would look forward to my appointments with Megan so much. My kids always loved going to see Megan too, they never wanted to leave the office. At a typical appointment you have all the normal listening to the heartbeat, blood pressure etc. but she also spends ample time getting to know you, what you're dealing with in life and what kind of birth you're hoping to have so she can best support you emotionally and physically. My second two boys were born happy, healthy and at home with Megan there to support. I was in my 2nd trimester with my 3rd child when my husband was laid off and forced to find a new job. Fortunately and unfortunately he was able to find a new job very quickly but it was in northern CA. So for the last 4.5 months of my pregnancy my husband was 4 hours away all week and he'd drive home on weekends. When I went into labor it went FAST. I was planning on cleaning, setting up my pullout bed with sheets and filling the tub by myself but by the time I told Megan to come, I wasn't able to move anymore between contractions. Megan picked up right where I left off and quickly got things in order. My sweet husband and my mom were unable to make it to the house before baby came out. So it was just me, Megan and Mary her apprentice. Even though my family couldn't make it, these women showered me with love and support and I was able to focus all of my energy on having my baby. So grateful she is doing what she's doing!
