I happened to walk by this place at their old location on Ventura and am happy that later on I walked in. They carry some great and really reasonably priced breastfeeding supplies. I got a fantastic basic nursing bra for under $15, various parts for my pump, and my favorite milk storage bags (which are biodegradable and the same cost of the ones at Target which aren't). The selection of baby things (especially if you're looking for a baby gift) isn't particularly robust, but they truly have what you need to nurse. The new location is in my opinion, leaps and bounds better than the old. The space for classes is bigger, and parking (which you can find in the back) is much easier. It's also close to the VNSO park and trader joes so it's easy to swing by. I also cannot recommend highly enough the mommy-and-me classes I took there with Danielle Brooks. As a second time mom in wasn't sure if I needed a mommy-and-me class, but someone mentioned her class to me and I took a chance to go to it. Danielle truly taught me how to be a better mom, from gently crib training the baby to soothing the toddlers tantrums. It was one of the best decisions I made! All in all, this place is a great resource for moms in the Valley!

She offers classes, boutique breastfeeding gear and baby and mom fashion. They've moved from their Ventura Blvd store to Hazletine street in Sherman Oaks, which is great for me because it closer than ever. If you need to rent a breast pump or othe breastfeeding gear go to the Pump Connection and see Rebecca for the best service.

In one hour, Virginia helped me transform it into a triumph. I now appreciate that I intuitively knew exactly what to do to birth my baby, including being open to help when the time called for it. Receiving love turned out to be an integral part of motherhood! I recently gave birth to our second daughter, and when we encountered a true obstetric emergency, my husband and I readily accepted the assistance we needed to birth her safely at home. Not only was I not traumatized by the situation, I feel completely empowered by her birth! Thank you, Virginia, for helping me to honor my inner love warrior! It helped us to really connect in a spiritual way before the baby came. I had no idea what having a baby would be like but I used many of the pain coping techniques she offered and I managed to make it thru 24 hours of back labor with no epidural! She went on to be an amazing contributor to my successful breastfeeding experience. I was so distraught in the first week because I was having so many issues with latch, confidence, timing, etc. Like most first times Moms- I was having a very difficult time nursing. She came to my house and helped me to understand the logistics of breastfeeding. After her visit my confidence soared, my heart was at ease, and I never had a problem with breastfeeding again! Never had to supplement another bottle! In fact, almost 2 years later I am still successfully nursing. Also, she knew that I was new to the area so she offered to hook me up with a like-minded Mama-to-be who she thought I would hit it off with. Well, sure enough, she's been a great friend of mine ever since and we love having playdates with our little ones! I feel forever grateful to Virginia and am so lucky to know her. She truly is an amazing woman, and I HIGHLY recommend any of the services she has to offer!

My MIL wanted to stay at home so my family moved in Aug 2012. We worked closely with the Complete Care SB since I didn't have prior experience as a caregiver. In fact, Carolyn diagnosed the moment my MIL was having a TIA and stayed with us until she was settled in the hospital. She was also there at discharge. Katie took over care a few months later but we never noticed a difference in the exceptional care. They were with us right until the end when my MIL was able to pass peacefully. We would strongly recommend Complete Care Santa Barbara to anyone needing assistance wherever your loved one resides. They made our experience as caregivers so rewarding and gave us so much support. I would have really struggled if it hadn't been for their loving kindness and understanding.

But I am recommending her because I cannot imagine our birth without her. We planned on an unmedicated, hospital birth but ended up in an emergency cesarean. Many decisions had to be made quickly - baby was not doing well - but Kari's presence relieved so much stress. She knew what we wanted, she understood the medical situation better than we did, and she had already developed relationships with many of the hospital staff and was skillful in communicating with them in a respectful manner while advocating for our needs & preferences (I have heard stories of other doulas in town being unable to collaborate effectively with their hospital team). Both my husband and I felt deeply supported throughout the experience. Despite not having the birth story we had hoped for, we both feel confident that we got the best outcome possible in the situation - with Kari being a central part of that. Thank you Kari!
