Don't let the Instagram posts fool you. The place itself is nice on the inside, but the food isn't as yummy as advertised and the fancy drinks don't taste as fancy as they look.
If you're coming with a group of people, or if ambiance is all your looking for, it would be a good place to stop by on your way home from work if you happen to live in the area. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit without a good enough reason.
The place is larger than most pubs I've been to in London, and the decor is on point. The interior looks like a rather posh garden, and the reserved seats are hella comfy. The rest are bar stools and communal tables.
The service is mostly 'meh,' and you have 2 choices of food that is not offered by this establishment, but from the connected restaurants next door: Japanese street food, and sub-par burgers by a joint called Filth & Co. I'd say the name is fitting.
Drinks-wise, you have a sizeable cocktail menu that may or may not be pleasing to your taste buds, depending on your standards. But my 'La Vie En Rose' cocktail was a mostly soda with sugary syrup garnished with fruit and flower petals. Not terrible, but not great.
The upside is that, on the weekends, the place becomes a lot more lively, and they have an impressive roster of live music and special events that last until the wee hours of the morning. So, if you're a party animal, I take it all back. This might just be the place for you. read more
