    The "chicken sampler"...
    Diego V.

Was on a great streak until I fell into this place. Tourist trap and the food is terrible - look at this sad sampler. Would only recommend for a quick pint and then bounce SMH

Bar tenders are friendly and it's convenient to Knotting Hill and Hyde Park! We enjoyed our beers from local crafts.

Nice pub, classic one The service is a little confused and the food is fine, but not amazing. The place is a mixed between a restaurant and a pub.

Wonderful stop for early lunch before a day of exploring. We had big fish n chips and a burger. Both were delicious! Bartender waiting on us was super sweet and attentive. Atmosphere was that of a typical pub- great stop during our stay in London!

Came here to watch the Man U vs Liverpool game. Great little pub, great beer and cider selection and the staff was very helpful. Great place to stop to grab a drink after a long day of walking and exploring Hyde Park.

Good location, had the fish and chips. Quite a selection of beer. Warm place to have lunch or dinner, friendly staff.

Well, upon nearing this pub, I was a little miffed about the claim to be old. It's in a 60s apartment block for heaven's sake, how old can that be?!?! But as I staggered towards the welcoming warmth, a little plaque outside revealed that there's been a pub on this site since the Roman times. And I forcibly ate my words. Or thoughts, that I hadn't yet vocalised to me team of fashionable drinking buddies. Good pub, I think. Despite its sixties origins, they have made a fairly good job of making it look old, so that's good. You got the standard Who Wants to Be a Millionaire grey computer thing in the corner, slightly denting the historic vibe. And the clientele were a funny old bunch when we were there. But it was ok, quite fun, although maybe I was a little too drunk to really remember the ins and outs of the Old Swan. To be continued... maybe

Average fish n chips, as an american i think it lacked flavor. Service was amazing, super friendly and helpful.

After hours of walking around London we were desperate for some good ol pub food. This was the only pub we could find that served food after 3:00pm. Food was fresh, fries tasty, cod was mild and lacked a little flavor, salad was fresh, crisp and delic. Staff was friendly and helpful with questions.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I ordered the beef roast, and we also shared a side of the creamy cauliflower, which was to die for. I truly cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough. The service was personable and welcoming, making it easy and comfortable to ask questions and try new things. One of the managers (apologies I don't know her name) checked in on us several times and even encouraged a few of us to try additional menu items. The food came out quickly, and once it arrived, the table went completely silent because we were all too busy enjoying every bite. I highly, highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting London and even the locals. A solid 10/10 experience!

I was a fish person, and I am SO HAPPY I did! The fish at this restuarant will live in my head forever. Im not joking. I live in the US and I almost want to fly back to London just to have it again. The roast looked great too, many of my friends saying the meat was great and the gravy was flavorful. The staff were ALL so friendly, even offering the charge a phone that was dying! The place itself feels like it's straight out of a movie, a true london pub. I cannot stop thinking about this fish. Mall Tavern, if youre ever in Minnesota, please send me the recipe.

One eventually came to our table after sitting awhile. I of course had to try the fish n chips. A couple of veggie burgers were ordered and a regular burger. Surprisingly happy hour was still on at 8 o'clock so drinks were ordered. The food all came at the same time and everything was cool. The fish had a nice flavor from the fried batter. To me it was similar to Long John Silvers as far as the batter is concerned, but slightly better quality overall. The fries were standard. The only thing horrible was the very bland mashed green peas. They should be omitted from every pub across the country, but I think it is a traditional item included with the fish. The cocktails were good as well as the price. The sticky toffee pudding was something else I was advised to try while in London. I must admit it was really delicious. It came with a scoop of ginger ice cream and a warm buttery toffee sauce to pour over. It was delightfully warm and sweet and paired well with the ice cream. The cake itself was moist enough on its own with notes of brown sugar and molasses. I could have had seconds and thirds of this desert. Yum! The majority of my party didn't think the food was fantastic. The burgers happened to be somewhat alright. This was a first for me having pub food and I would have more again as long as I stick to the basics.

Yes, there are many pubs in London, everyone has their favorite, everyone has their local, and my "local" depends on where I am staying. In any case, several of us met here. The place was definitely hopping but one of our group arrived early and grabbed a table. We all ordered drinks, I had beer which was delicious. After perusing the menu, I ordered the standard- Fish & Chips, with Mushy Peas. It came out quickly and was fried to perfection. Everybody else who ordered food seemed happy with their choices. It was a great setting to meet up with friends, and I will happily come back here when in the area. A solid pub in a city of many pubs!
