Oh dear lord this is the kind of English pub that makes you want to stay out of English pubs for food there is an English pub on every other corner in London and I find barfood absolutely repulsive especially in London My flat is located around the corner So what is now my new part-time regular choice of Boris to get a pint of beer but the prince Edward across the street is way better I asked for the fried chicken sandwich with no onion and no mayonnaise When I got it there was mayonnaise onions and it was not Friday it was grilled I guess I was thrown off by the pickle and everything and I was thinking like an American The bar is definitely pretty and is it people that work there are friendly but the food was terrible I got the round potatoes because I've been on a potato cake lately and these potatoes will literally just boiled in water there was no seasoning not even sold not even oil they literally gave me boiled potatoes Who the hell eats like that? I swear to God I felt like I was eating jail food or something Never ever again Worst food I ever ate in London Gelatinous muck

    Delish!

Another great pub in London! Very close to our hotel & the food was amazing! I had a meat pie & my husband had a burger, both really yummy! Staff was very nice & the atmosphere is London pub-ish & exactly what we wanted for our 1st trip to London

They have a good open mic and the venue is comfortable to sit in, with good lighting and big tables.

Bland food, warm beer, poor service. Need to write more to fill the required character space.

The last time I was here it was called Bar Oz, I had my first legal drink outside of the US here. Great place with a good atmosphere.

They had football on the televisions so it was nice to be in an English-type environment.

MY GOODNESS, place was incredible! I visited London with a group of friends, and we made a…read morereservation well in advance, which I'm so glad we did. This restaurant was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I ordered the beef roast, and we also shared a side of the creamy cauliflower, which was to die for. I truly cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough. The service was personable and welcoming, making it easy and comfortable to ask questions and try new things. One of the managers (apologies I don't know her name) checked in on us several times and even encouraged a few of us to try additional menu items. The food came out quickly, and once it arrived, the table went completely silent because we were all too busy enjoying every bite. I highly, highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting London and even the locals. A solid 10/10 experience!

I was a fish person, and I am SO HAPPY I did! The fish at this restuarant will live in my head forever. Im not joking. I live in the US and I almost want to fly back to London just to have it again. The roast looked great too, many of my friends saying the meat was great and the gravy was flavorful. The staff were ALL so friendly, even offering the charge a phone that was dying! The place itself feels like it's straight out of a movie, a true london pub. I cannot stop thinking about this fish. Mall Tavern, if youre ever in Minnesota, please send me the recipe.

One eventually came to our table after sitting awhile. I of course had to try the fish n chips. A couple of veggie burgers were ordered and a regular burger. Surprisingly happy hour was still on at 8 o'clock so drinks were ordered. The food all came at the same time and everything was cool. The fish had a nice flavor from the fried batter. To me it was similar to Long John Silvers as far as the batter is concerned, but slightly better quality overall. The fries were standard. The only thing horrible was the very bland mashed green peas. They should be omitted from every pub across the country, but I think it is a traditional item included with the fish. The cocktails were good as well as the price. The sticky toffee pudding was something else I was advised to try while in London. I must admit it was really delicious. It came with a scoop of ginger ice cream and a warm buttery toffee sauce to pour over. It was delightfully warm and sweet and paired well with the ice cream. The cake itself was moist enough on its own with notes of brown sugar and molasses. I could have had seconds and thirds of this desert. Yum! The majority of my party didn't think the food was fantastic. The burgers happened to be somewhat alright. This was a first for me having pub food and I would have more again as long as I stick to the basics.

Yes, there are many pubs in London, everyone has their favorite, everyone has their local, and my "local" depends on where I am staying. In any case, several of us met here. The place was definitely hopping but one of our group arrived early and grabbed a table. We all ordered drinks, I had beer which was delicious. After perusing the menu, I ordered the standard- Fish & Chips, with Mushy Peas. It came out quickly and was fried to perfection. Everybody else who ordered food seemed happy with their choices. It was a great setting to meet up with friends, and I will happily come back here when in the area. A solid pub in a city of many pubs!
