I guess either the quality of their food heavily decreased since then or maybe their equipment wasn't working today? They serve the tacos cold. The tortilla shell was not warmed and was slightly cold as if it had been refrigerated prior to serving. The chicken and all the rest of the ingredients were cold as well. The overall texture was awful with an overly chewy tortilla shell and chicken. The flavor of the tortillas tasted store bought and not homemade. The only redeeming piece of this meal was the chicken. The flavor was great and I'm sure it would even be better if it was warmed. Overall, I am sad I paid $9 for two tacos that honestly have been one of the most unsatisfying tacos I've ever tried. I definitely do not plan on trying this food truck again.

I ordered some of each type of taco: Pork, Chicken, Steak and Chorizo (spicy sausage.) Tender, flavorful and fresh. The tortillas are grilled right there in the truck and are delivered warm with the choice of meat plus pico de gallo, shredded cheese and a side of salsa (either verde or hot). Tacos are $2.00 each, with cheese $2.50. OH MY GOODNESS! Some of the best tacos I've had outside of SoCal! I highly recommend checking this place out!

And, after a quick google before my Yelp to find their website (there is not one, just Facebook), I found, "Matthew Haury is a French trained Chef with Asian and Latin American influences. Food Fellas strives to bring a Cultural Street Fusion with a demand for Flavor." So, that sounds fancy. I'm pleased to say it was a huge success, though I'm not entirely certain what I ended up with. Saffron Spanish rice, mango salsa, Adobe tofu, corn, Asian sesame slaw... and I don't remember what sauce. But it was fantastic. I even talked two old ladies into trying tofu for the first time. We arrived right as the game was starting and they were out of the pulled pork sandwiches, so we chose the pulled chicken instead! I think this was the best shredded chicken sandwich I have ever had! The chicken was SO flavorful, even without barbecue sauce. The buns were also super sweet and fluffy, and perfectly soaked up the juices from the sandwich to round out the flavor. I walked up to the large colorful truck and was greeted by the owner. The owner of was friendly, knowledgeable and even made a recommendation. He had suggested I order the "Birria Tacos" -- which come in an order of 3. The wait time was not bad, (roughly 10 minutes), and the vibe was very relaxed. There were even tables and seating for outdoor dining. The aroma was a wonderful mix of cilantro, onions and slow-cooked beef. I got a small container of green tomatillo salsa to go with it. I loved the taste of the taco I had, and thought the suggestion was great. I do wish the Birria Taco had a little more meat in it. Other than that, the Birria Taco was really tasty. I would highly recommend trying The El Rey Food Truck. If you happen to see it around, please stop by and give them a try.
