Fast forward a few years and I come back to this location with my family and a few friends. We got pretty quick service when it came to ordering. The drinks came out fast, then the food. Everything looked pretty good at first. My kids ordered the corn dogs and kids pizza. Pretty standard kid options to be honest, but what was inside was anything from standard or ok. The corn dogs came out first and they were piping hot. So my wife and I cut the top off to allow it to cool down a bit before feeding it to our 2 year old... what we saw shocked us... I don't know if you can tell from the photos but it looked so disgusting in person. It looked raw, and freezer burnt all at the same time. I showed it to the staff and asked if they thought this was acceptable, immediately said no and offered to bring us a new plate. In the meantime, my 7year old was letting their pizza cool down and when it finally did and he pulled it apart, the dough was still raw, by raw I mean it was a "frozen pizza that was put into a microwave" (their words, not mine) and when I brought it to their attention they apologized and offered a new plate as well. The waiter comes back and uttered those words up top. "Do you want to choose something else? It's going to come out the same since it just frozen and put into a microwave" so my son decides on the next best thing for him. A simple bean and cheese burrito.... But what we got was anything but the best.... It was luke warm beans with unmelted cheese that they rolled up and put on the stove top to burn up the outsides to make it look pretty. To top off the experience, the waiter was very attentive, granted. But please, for the love of health when you refill mine or my child's drink please DO NOT take out our straws with your bare hands and put them into our new drinks... that's just gross!!!!

We each had about two beers, so we were shocked when the bill came out to $160. That's when we were told there was a $30 minimum per person. The problem is that nobody mentioned this when we walked in. If they had been upfront about it at the door or before we ordered, we would have turned around and gone somewhere else. It felt dishonest to wait until the bill arrived to explain the minimum. Businesses should clearly communicate policies like that before customers are seated or place an order, not after. I left feeling misled and cheated. I won't be returning, and I hope they start being transparent with customers from the beginning.

Okay, savage but still believable enough for Yelp:…read more The audacity of this place We came into Paradise Isle and somehow got hit with a $30 PER PERSON minimum AFTER the fact. Apparently this magical minimum only gets mentioned when it's time to pay. Had she told us upfront, cool. We would've either ordered more or gone somewhere else. Simple. But don't make up the rules at the end of the night and expect people not to question it. And mind you... THIS IS A DIVE BAR We ordered two 6-packs of Corona that were supposed to be $6 each. We're not exactly at some luxury rooftop in Beverly Hills with bottle service. Maybe this explains why the place was completely dead when we walked in and seems to be going downhill. If your business strategy is surprising customers with random minimums after they've already ordered, the empty seats are starting to make a lot of sense. It's not about the $30. It's the principle. Be upfront with your customers. First and definitely last time here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, as I generally try to support businesses and highlight positive…read moreexperiences. However, my experience here raised serious concerns due to what felt like misleading and inconsistent business practices. We found this venue on Yelp for a birthday party, and initially everything sounded great--almost too good to be true. Thankfully, I kept text messages documenting what was discussed, and we had others who could confirm those conversations. After placing a deposit, the experience quickly raised red flags. There was no formal service agreement when I requested one to confirm terms, and pricing began to shift leading up to the event--hourly rates, equipment rentals, and additional charges were inconsistent from what was originally communicated. With the event only a few days away, we felt we had no choice but to move forward despite these concerns. During the event, there were also uncomfortable interactions between the owner and my guests, including issues around cleanup and unexpected implications of added fees that had never been discussed. Final charges (outside of the bar tab) were informally presented, which further reflected a lack of professionalism and organization. After the event, upon reviewing everything more carefully, I realized I had been overcharged compared to what was originally agreed upon, which was extremely frustrating and reinforced my concerns around transparency. Most concerning, photos from our private event--including images of children--were later posted publicly for promotional use without our knowledge or consent. When addressed, the response we received was dismissive and did not acknowledge our concerns. I took time before writing this to ensure I was being fair and objective. Unfortunately, the pattern of misleading communication, lack of clear agreements, and post-event overcharging made this a very negative experience. If you do consider this venue, I strongly recommend getting a detailed written agreement covering all terms, pricing, and policies in advance. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this location.

Subject: Concern Regarding My Experience at The Post Pizza, 4358 Pack Rd., El Monte, CA Dear Management of The Post Pizza, I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience I had at your restaurant located at 4358 Pack Rd., El Monte, CA. While I had looked forward to enjoying your food, the service and overall atmosphere left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. To begin with, the interaction I had at the front register was far from professional. The staff member seemed dismissive, and it felt like they were attempting to rush or disregard my order. This set a negative tone for the rest of my visit. When my food arrived, the issues only continued. The cheese sticks were served cold, and the accompanying dipping sauce was frozen--completely inedible. The pizza was brought to my table without any napkins, silverware, or plates. I had to get up to find these items myself, which is not the level of service I expected. Moreover, the cleanliness of the restaurant was deeply concerning. The store looked unkempt, and I noticed another customer drinking directly from a 2-liter soda bottle, adding to the impression of poor hygiene and lack of attention to standards. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of what I would hope for in a dining experience. I felt compelled to bring this to your attention in hopes that you address these issues, as they do not reflect well on your business. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope my concerns are considered and improvements are made to ensure future customers have a better experience. read more

I'm usually one to not leave reviews but I had to for this place. The pizza and wings were good, so we're the rounders but half of them were cooked and the other half were raw, as you can see in the picture. And when they have "fresh tomatoes" on the menu for pizza, they're not kidding, they literally slapped on tomatoes, uncooked with the pizza. The table that we sat at was dirty and the staff is on their cell phones so they have no time to clean the tables, all the tables were dirty. All the condiments and napkins are nowhere to be found, you have to ask for everything and it takes forever to get. I'm giving 3 stars for the pizza and wings, nothing else. read more

Food 4 stars The food is great! I had the sausage and Chicken pizza and their lasagna. The pizza is so cheezy, only complaint would be too much oil. I don't know why there was so much oil on it anyways their lasagna might have been the best lasagna I ever had. Cleanliness of the store 1 star The place was so old and their restroom was a mess!
