    Misaligned Stair installation

This year, I again called The Pool Store (Washington Township) to open my pool. I advised that the cover needed to be removed, the stairs dropped, and chemicals added. I specifically requested 2 5-gallon containers of 'pool chlorine' be delivered as I wanted the water fully 'shocked'; only one container was available. This had not been the greatest year. I needed a number of home repairs and maintenance within a 2 week period plus take care of my 99 year-old Mother. I finally took a good look at the pool and noticed the stairs and filter were not hooked up properly. I had taken pictures of the 'cocked' stairs and brought them to The Pool Store along with pool water to be tested. When I showed the pictures of the crooked step installation the woman, whom I assume was a supervisor, told me I was already in the store weeks ago complaining about the stairs. I advised her that this was my first in-store visit this year. She argued with me and continually maintained I was a liar until she brought up my records and saw my pool was not opened until after Memorial Day. The photo The Pool Store showed me had one of their employees leaning over the step rail obscuring and camouflaging the poor, uneven installation. She then started saying she remembered me from the previous year when I also had numerous problems due to a deficient pool opening. Further, she stated I should have been charged an additional $190 last year to simply connect hoses to a second pump (no pump operation or start up...just hoses attached and tightened). She then literally called me a thief. Apparently I was not charged for the stair 'drop-in' this year. Again, in front of other customers, she called me a thief. To reiterate, I have had my stairs dropped in recent years as reflected in the records which she finally bothered to look up. Shame on you lady, I am not a lair nor a thief. Obviously The Pool Store employee did not write down the specifics and failed to give me the proper quote; that is not my fault. She again called me a thief. I proceeded to throw my credit card at her and told her 'then charge me'. Still insisting I was a liar and a thief she told me to find someone or another pool dealer to resolve the problems; a decision I had already made based on her false accusations in front of other customers and her extremely nasty attitude. I can only surmise that I was not the only customer with pool opening issues as she confused me with someone that came in a number of weeks ago with a similar complaint. At 69 years-old I must rely on 'professionals' to do a proper job. I can only say that if you are a pool owner you may think twice as to the company you select to open and close your pool. Needless to say, I've given The Pool Store many opportunities to do a good job since they closed their site in the Gloucester Town Center but they seem to blame the customer (in an extremely nasty and vocal manner) for their shortcomings.

    PVC heat coil cover....cracked

If I could give them no stars I would. The pictures speak for themselves. They closed my pool last year and failed to blow the water out of the very expensive brand new heater. The owner was made aware and decided to just ignore our calls. I went there yesterday where I met with the most unprofessional, nasty person ive ever dealtt with. Im assuming she was the owner. Shentold me my busted heater was my fault, not her people's and is refusing to take responsibility. It got ugly, and im not proud, but I'll be damned if I'm eating $6400. There's only one way that happens, and that's water was left in the line. She'll be hearing from our attorney. Dont let these people touch your pool, because if they break something they wont take responsibility. he

I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. They installed a liner without locking it in place. They stated they don't put the bead lock in place until the liner stretches out and that usually it's unnecessary. Liner popped out of the track in multiple locations right after being installed. After multiple calls, they finally got us scheduled to fix. They "no called no show" several times. When they finally showed up unannounced, they only fixed small sections about 4-8 inches. After several more sections of the liner popped out, they did the same song and dance again. When the service tech eventually made it out again, he was rude and stated that they would not be returning unless we paid extra. Went to the store and spoke to a manager who promised it would get fixed but they just never showed and didn't return our calls. Their website states 2 year warranty on liners but that is false. Opened the pool this year to over 11 sections of liner hanging. Eventually I emailed the owner who stated that someone would contact us directly. That was 3 months ago. They will use every excuse to string you along. I completely regret using this company.

    Leak

Horrible business. Brand new pool installed. Took them 4 months to come out and fix it. I was filling my pool every other day. Then a second leak at the base of my slide happened. That was early august. It is now end of September they still have not fixed my leak and my pool is still open and my filter is not working now. They have stopped answering my phone calls and emails. I email everyday. The owner Toni is horrible. She has never once picked up the phone to reached out. Do not use this company.

O NOT USE Niagara pools!!!!! DO NOT RISK YOUR EXPERIENCE…read moreAND MONEY ON THESE FOLKS My family hired Niagara pools to build an in-ground liner pool for our home. We were told the cost would be around $47,000 that actually cost us $53,000. They started work in the fall promising be completed before the next summer season. Due to what they claimed to be a fall with more rain than usual they could not complete our pool in the fall and that we would be first in line when construction continued in the spring. This DID NOT happen in fact I had to email and call throughout the spring for then to return to work on the pool. It did not get finished until the 2/3 week of July that year. Immediately we had problems with the pool. The lining in two spots continued to come apart from the seam at the top requiring multiple visits for them to fix. The pool light did not work, the heat ran sparingly, a large crease developed in the liner in the shallow end and the handle to the filter snapped off the first summer. All these things were reported to the maintenance department via phone and email. With no response in months of trying to get a hold of them. They finally came and addressed the handle and light. And told us the liner crease at the bottom and top liner pop out was from the pool settling. As seasons continued more and more creases have appeared in the shallow end to the point now that we have approximately 5/7 very large creases running the length of the shallow end. When requesting someone come look at it and it to be addressed and fixed. A very rude gentleman named Ken came to our home looked at the pool for a max ten mins determining that they were not at fault, and they would not be fixing the liner. He then ignored countless emails and requests to discuss this. Finally, after months he called me and told me that at some point the pool water had to be less inside then under, which it never was, and that we had not hired them to close the pool, which was never stated as part of the terms of their work warrantee, they would not guarantee the work and we would have to pay $8000 to a different company to come replace the 4-season old liner. Because they were not going to do it. I work as a manager in the home improvement industry, and this is the worst customer experience and customer focused approach I have ever seen. We as the customer where blamed for a pool with a liner that had a visible seam in the shallow end where 2 different pieces of liner were used and connected. The creases have occurred need that seam as has the continued liner popping from the top groove. Ken is the most egotistical home improvement individual I have ever spoken too. He adamantly blamed us and took no responsibility for anything that had gone wrong in the whole process. I understand clearly now why there have been multiple lawsuits against this company. They are solely focused on making money and have no integrity to standby their work or even come up with a mutual agreement to share the cost of fixing the liner. The absolute entitlement is disguising and explains why countless employees I dealt with have since left the company. DO NOT RISK YOUR EXPERIENCE AND MONEY ON THESE FOLKS

I thought that was the safest, best option to keep our pool in the best shape. In fact for 10 years, I pay Budds to open, service weekly for 12 weeks, and close my pool. Friday morning I turned the heater on in case the kids wanted to go in. I thankfully hung outside for a bit, when I began to smell something burning and walked over to find the heater on fire. I immediately turned off the power on the heater and emailed and called Budds. They FaceTimed with Edward Litsky, and noted that the water valve to the heater was in the off position. They then sent someone out Friday evening around 8pm, turned the water on, vacuumed out the soot, inspected it using a phone flashlight, turned on the heater and informed us someone would be in touch. Three days later, after I requested to hear from someone in a supervisor role, Chas the GM of service called me this evening. He offered to replace the burned out lcd screen free of charge. I told him I expected more, as I no longer feel safe having my kids around the heater, and he told me it was more than fair since "I" turned off the water to the heater. He blamed ME! A customer of 10 years. He blamed me, because I emailed requesting assistance turning on the skimmers prior to the fire. After their own employees admitted it was opened incorrectly. The General Manager of Service blamed me in a massive CYA case. I have never been a part of a worst case of shady business in my life. Avoid Budds Pools.
