After an hour when I said my area was still hot my doctor friend, whose appointment I joined, said that was strange. We inspected and found that several strips of my skin was removed. The next day I returned to Toronto and called Accent on Beauty, they refused to return my money and offered me an in store credit, despite me saying that I did not live in Ottawa. At the time I was calling while waiting at a walk-in clinic and the owner Darlene (?) said that I would have to return to Ottawa to verify that it was her salon's mistake and not something I have done. When I offered to show her a photograph she also said that would not confirm that I did not mutilate my own crotch. I was stunned that this woman would not credit me $30 and implied that I may have intentionally ripped my skin off my body. I am part Asian and my skin scars dark. The effected area is at the seam of my pubic area and my leg and I have had to sit wide legged and lubricated with polysporon to help the skin grown back. This is the complete opposite of the sexy that i thought I would feel and will last way longer than the wax job. After all this, and all I will continue to deal with as I heal and treat my new darkened crease, I was only offered a credit to my account that I cannot even fulfill as I live in Toronto.

The studio itself is nice and clean with friendly reception staff. I usually get a wash, cut and style done by Leah, but I have gotten a balayage done by her once and an Olaplex treatment. The pricing at the Hair Studio is reasonable for what you get, in my opinion. Leah always does an amazing job, ensuring that I am comfortable during the entire hair service and that I am fully content with my hair before I leave. She is professional, friendly and fun to talk to. She has good hair care advice and is always happy to give her hair cut and style recommendations before getting started. She really pays attention to what the client wants and she works with confidence (always a comforting thing to notice when she is working on your hair!). I booked for a shellac pedicure and dip redo on natural nails. the tech broke 2 of my natural nails which is always upsetting as they take time and effort to grow. my nails were finished they were good but not perfect. After my nail service I was scheduled for a pedi with shellac appointment which I was suddenly told would not be happening because my nails took too long.i did not want to argue so I hesitantly said ok to.
