We had relatives in and took them to The Point Restaurant. Burger night Waitress told us burger mentioned in menu was half price. 2 of our group got it. Our reservation was at 5:45. Fast forward bill came and waitress said burger was full price after 6. She didn't realize that. Manager came out and said waitress had made a mistake. Burger was full price and we would be charged full price. No apologies, no discount, nothing. Waitress felt bad and apologized. Manager blamed waitress but still charged us full price. This is not right. A mistake was made and should've been corrected by at least giving them a free dessert or just charged half price. I think the secret is already out but man do I love this place! Vibe, ambiance, friendly, engaging bartenders! We enjoy our time. You can feel like you're at a private golf club but without the membership. There are two separate bars, one sunken that overlooks the golf course. The other one is higher up and over the lower bar. The higher bar feels a little more sophisticated, but we like the energy of the lower one with all the natural light, although it is surrounded by television screens, and there are always lots of Sporting events being televised. They often feature bingo in the lower bar area. There is also a separate dining room, which looks very chic and we have not dined there yet. Plenty of beautiful sunlight so seems appropriate for brunch. And we did sit near to the hostess stand with a group of friends for happy hour one time which was really fun. You're floating in the middle of the floor a little but it was still a good time. We enjoyed our wings and our cocktails. The food was excellent, the views great, but service was marginal. We went with a large group of people for an early dinner and everyone ordered something different. I personally ordered the burnt ends sandwich and my wife ordered the beet salad, so we split and swapped it. The burnt ends sandwich was great, and my wife loved the beet salad. Of note, a few in our group ordered the Banh Mi, which was huge and they loved it. The downside was we were neglected probably due to the size of our group. The servers didn't visit our table after the food was delivered, so I had to walk pitchers of water to the bartender to get refilled. Also, it was pretty hot, and we were pestered by a few flies. Let me begin with the positives. I recently took my 85-year-old mother and my wife to The Point for dinner. The food was excellent--my steak, my mother's shrimp, and my wife's salmon were all cooked exactly to our specifications. Preparation, presentation, and taste were outstanding. Everything we tried was delicious, and I especially recommend the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The service at our table was solid, although I did notice several servers congregating and socializing near the bar instead of actively tending to their customers. Up to this point, I would rate The Point as "5 stars." However, my concern began with what I observed at the bar. We were seated close enough to clearly see the bartender repeatedly serve alcohol to a man who was extremely intoxicated--belligerent, loudly dropping repeated F-bombs, shouting at the top of his lungs over the Buffalo Bills game, and at one point staggering toward the restroom. As someone who served 23 years in law enforcement and retired as a U.S. Navy Captain (O-6), I fully believe individuals are responsible for their own behavior. Still, management always has a duty to protect the safety and comfort of all patrons, and to demonstrate concern for the surrounding community. That is where I became disappointed. The manager was present and clearly aware of this individual's behavior, yet no one intervened to stop service, redirect the situation, or address the disruption. The bartender continued pouring drinks despite the man's obvious intoxication. From a community-safety perspective, this is concerning. Even though Florida's Dram Shop Law is narrow--holding establishments liable only for serving someone under 21 or someone known to be habitually addicted to alcohol--the standard of reasonable care still applies in how management oversees its environment. Additionally, under Florida's comparative negligence principles, multiple parties can share responsibility when a foreseeable danger is ignored. While overserving a drunk adult may not create automatic legal liability in Florida, it certainly creates a community safety risk, especially when this person leaves the premises and gets behind the wheel on Highway 98. For that reason, I believe The Point's management and bar staff should take a closer, more responsible approach to alcohol service and patron behavior. Until the leadership demonstrates stronger attentiveness to customer safety and community impact, I would advise socially conscious individuals--and particularly military members and families--to consider this before choosing to dine here. read more

The food was delicious. I ordered the blue cheese burger and my husband had the French dip. The service isn't bad but it was so cold as a door kept remaining ajar. My husband went to fix it and I witnessed an employee watch him then continue on with her conversation. I had to ask if she could help secure so it wouldn't be so cold inside. Other people moved to different areas of the restaurant due to its frigid temps. If multiple customers are complaining about the temperature and all service staff are wearing black jackets to stay warm, perhaps turn on the heat? read more

Came here for a nice couples lunch. Food was disappointing to say the least. Ordered a pretzel (appetizer) that took over 40 minutes to come to the table and when it arrived it was completely burnt. For entrées, we got the club sandwich and a Caesar salad. The lettuce was wilted and the dressing was from a bottle (I know because I have the bottle in my fridge which is fine but I would expect more from a nice place). The club sandwich was dry, and lazy to say the least, bread was toasted only on one side and the meat was low grade deli meat. I like going on Wednesday through Friday and set at the lower bar. Jordan is the best bartender in the area. She makes a great martini and is always consistent. We had heard about this place and their weekly specials. So we went for the burgers tonight. Well seasoned. Fries were meh. Sweet potato fries were better but a $2 up charge. There seemed to be a lot of employees but not necessarily working hahaha Beautiful restaurant. Willing to try Monday night in the future. Heads up... if you don't want me to notice all the workers in one area move us. There were also some disgruntled patrons that hadn't been waited on and they were very vocal. Not much bad to say about this place besides one issue. I Would've given 5 stars but the one issue I've run into on several occasions is that there's reservations for tables for over 20 PEOPLE. If there is that many people they should just rent the room. Once there was no available seating because all the tables were reserved and then only 6 something people showed. Another time I was having dinner with my friend and we were the only two people there aside from the party we shared the room with. They acted like they owned the place. Children running shoeless, screaming, spilling drinks. The adults were taking up other (unreserved) tables for their cake cutting and gifts. And half the party was just standing in the middle of the dining room.... It's one thing to make it hard to move through the door but it's a completely different problem to be standing 2 feet away from the only other table in the room and spew off your politics. Only advice is, if the hosts warns you about a party that will be near where you're sitting, believe them and sit elsewhere. read more

This place is convenient to our home and we love the upgrades that have been made over the past few years. The dining area and bar have been significantly upgraded and all the staff is friendly, and very accommodating to our kids. The food is better than what you would get at most golf clubhouses and the portions are a good size. I am not sure if they are short staffed at times as our last visit for lunch on Memorial Day took a while. But staffing seems like an issue a lot of places have these days. My only other wish is that they'd change up the menu every now and then. Regardless, we'll be back. read more

This place is a welcome addition to the Tiger Point area. Beautifully remodeled. Most everything is positive about the Pointe. Only ding is the service. The folks working are nice and accommodating, but ordering food requires you to go to the bar and put your order in with them. If it's busy and they're making drinks, you'll be waiting.
