This place impressed us so much, we came back here twice to eat and a third time to have a drink while we shopped. First off, sitting on the deck with those stunning views, is remarkable! You can't even capture it in a picture! Staff are awesome. Very attentive, friendly and make you feel welcomed! Food, my goodness, I don't know where to start. Their shrimp ceviche, WOW. Very fresh and with a nice kick to it! Their stuffed flounder with white sauce, I had it both times because it was so delicious and it didn't disappoint. My daughter tried their Baja pasta which was very light but full of flavor, and then the triple Mexican plate and both were fully finished. Don't think twice, go check it out!

The steamed clams were fantastic, huge, fresh, each one fully opened and great with the butter and sauce.

We noticed the Point while dining at another restaurant and decided to stop there on our next journey into town. We wanted to have drinks on the patio which is right on top of the water. The sunshine, breeze and view is spectacular. Our server quickly seated us and brought beverage menus. We ordered some drinks and decided to get a snack. We ordered the steamed clams and swordfish tacos. The clams were amazing - the largest I've ever had. They were fresh, plump and tasty, served with melted butter and a salsa. They also had several hot sauces on the table. The tacos came 3 to the order and were filled with meaty swordfish which tasted delicious. The friendly service, great view, good food and drinks are worth coming back!

    Large drinks!

The view in itself is reason to come here! Service and food were pretty average to the other places we went during our vacation. The drinks were poured pretty strong on the rocks, and the Cadillac Margarita is the best bang for your buck if alcohol content is what you're aiming for! We came with a party of 13 and reserved a table earlier in the day when we were walking around the market. They didn't place us where we had indicated while reserving the table, but the views were still good nonetheless! The only other thing is that the food wasn't that hot when it was brought out, but that's just the pains of dining in a large group and I don't necessarily fault the restaurant.

We went to get a decent view at sunset, and that's what we got. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best and overpriced. Do NOT get the whole fried fish--it was so dried out. The flounder stuffed with scallops was tasty but the sides were bland. The steak fajitas barely had enough steak to make 2 tortillas. Our margaritas were blended and so watered down we questioned if alcohol was even in there.

It's alright, food was a bit greasy but tasted pretty good. The area is a bit ghetto but this is the nicest is gonna get. No loud music so thats a plus and theres a very nice view of the ocean

My boyfriend and I went to The Point during a weekend trip to Puerto Penasco and ordered beer, a margarita, the Chef's special fish + shrimp, and steak. These are our thoughts: Pros: -Free Wifi, just ask for it -Amazing view, right by the ocean -Generous serving of Ceviche, fish tasted fresh -The sauce that came with the steak dish was really flavorful, we dipped everything in it! Cons: -Margaritas tasted like it was just juice -The steak was over done, tough and bland -The fish was also overdone and flakey -The food here is pricey, going for $15-20 a dish (much more than surrounding restaurants)

A whole bunch of bad flavors and bad service

I am sooooo confused by the service and awful food. This place was so highly talked about but I've never been so disappointed, this is no white glove service nor is it decent. First of all the hostess was so rude to me and my family refused to want to seat us with the window view of the ocean the whole point of the entire restaurant wanted to stick us in the back by the bathrooms. Server had no manners and yelled at us when we asked the table to be cleaned off because it was still dirty. My mom asked for a water with no ice and the server thought the best idea would be is dumping her (water) in another cup on the table and literally duping the whole cup of ice on his serving tray, (classy!) All of the food upset our stomachs and my steamed clams had no flavor and just the worst side sauce that was super nasty.. and the tortilla chips tasted like they where rolled in sand and baked. The coconut shrimp was sooo burnt and hard. Soo disappointed by the service !

Flounder tacos (grilled) with flour tortillas

I had one of the tastiest dishes of my life here! The flounder tacos were incredible and the view is outstanding. My sister had the chicken fajitas and was also blown away. Very highly recommend :)

    Mexican combination. Thumbs down.

Pollo Lucas has been in the community for decades and they seem like a staple related to fresh chicken in the town. Similarly to other places, there are vendors and men outside who want cash for helping you park. The seating inside offers a lot of spots, but vendors do come inside and ask if you're interested in purchasing other goods. This restaurant does take card payments, but prefer cash/pesos. Most of the workers do not know English, so be prepared and know at least some basic Spanish words beforehand. If not, it'll still be okay! The women at the counter were very kind and helped us get seated. My group shared one chicken (240 pesos) with rice, beans, and salsas. I grabbed a homemade juice that was yummy too. Note that the chicken comes with cabbage, onion, salsa, limes, and tortillas but the other sides are seperate. The chicken was so hot, fresh, and flavorful. Everything was delicious and we ate it all with no leftovers. The chicken is charbroiled and you can see it all cooking. It made it hard to wait for the food, as it smelled amazing, but it's worth the wait. We'd 100% come back again.

We noticed on this trip that Rocky Point prices were very similar to what we were spending in the United States. This place is very clean and we sat at the inside dining. Note: they only take cash here, DO NOT order assuming you can use a debit card. They are generous with the topping tray, which includes: lettuce, 2 salsa, an avocado sauce, limes, and cucumbers. To be honest, these are large portions and we would have been full with just the Vampiro with potatoes. The Cokes with real cane sugar are always better than our American ones with high fructose corn syrup. A small portion of the beef was a little grisly with fat. I subtracted one star for this and the fact that they ONLY take cash. This is a decent, clean eatery. They offer their entire menu with either corn or flour tortillas.
