Best place for grilled chicken in Puerto Peñasco. Served family style with tortillas and toppings. Beans and rice are extra but cheap. We bought two chickens plus sides and it was plenty for five men. Rustic atmosphere typical of street restaurants in Mexico. Staff only speak a few words of English so it's better to switch to Spanish if you can speak it. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back next time I'm down there.

The consistency of the pollo asado and all the sides keeps us coming back for more. The pollo asado is marinated in citrus, its juicy and prepared fresh all day long over an open flame, until they run out for the day. I prefer to eat my food under the palapa, but it travels well and reheats nicely for leftovers after a night on the town. The side items include refried beans, rice and macaroni salad. Homemade tortillas come with every order as do the shredded cabbage, red onion, limes and salsa. You won't regret stopping by this spot, on busy weekends they do run out of chicken and beans early because everybody gets ones for here and one to go. Enjoy!!

Long tables bathed in smoke from the grill. Uniformed staff run around taking orders, delivering food and drinks. A boss with readers mans the cash register and observes everything going in and out. The asaderos at the grill and moving chicken from hot to cool to hot again, as necessary. The customers are a mixture of Mexican tourists, American tourists and locals. There is only one dish on the menu - grilled chicken, or pollo asado. The chicken is not spice rubbed or coated in a sticky marinade. I only tasted salt and pepper and smoke on the chicken which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The sides of rice and beans are a must. I found out the beans contain chipotle and chorizo and wouldn't be shocked if they used chicken fat too. The soft flour tortillas that allow light to penetrate and common everywhere in PP were hot and ready to receive a little chicken, some beans and rice, some skin and some salsa for a perfect bite.

Amazing chicken, tiny bit greasy but would come back forsure. Tortillas were incredible (flour). But the best part was the beans and rice they were so good! It was just hot simply because this is a restaurant that's basically ina massive tent. Would be a five star review if it was inside with AC lol. Super friendly service. Would definitely come back

What a deal 1/4 Chicken Rice 2 Drinks Lucas Pollo is a fantastic restaurant to visit if you adore charcoal grilled chicken. Today, I am at RockyPoint to honor the memory of my friend's brother. The burial is scheduled for 6:00 PM. The chicken was prepared impeccably and tasted delicious. While the rice was just alright, I always enjoy indulging in the flavorful chicken dishes here. The meals are wonderfully simple yet expertly crafted.

This is a no frills place but the chicken is great. The prices are fair so it doesn't break the bank.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

We ordered the Vampiro with papas (285 pesos), a carne asada taco (40 pesos), and a quesadilla with carne (70 pesos) and 2, 12-ounce Mexican Cokes (60 pesos). Altogether, we spent $22.22 for lunch. We noticed on this trip that Rocky Point prices were very similar to what we were spending in the United States. This place is very clean and we sat at the inside dining. Note: they only take cash here, DO NOT order assuming you can use a debit card. They are generous with the topping tray, which includes: lettuce, 2 salsa, an avocado sauce, limes, and cucumbers. To be honest, these are large portions and we would have been full with just the Vampiro with potatoes. The Cokes with real cane sugar are always better than our American ones with high fructose corn syrup. A small portion of the beef was a little grisly with fat. I subtracted one star for this and the fact that they ONLY take cash. This is a decent, clean eatery. They offer their entire menu with either corn or flour tortillas.
