My third time coming to Candy Cakes in Puerto Peñasco MX. let me tell you it's def worth it. There may be a long wait, especially during holidays. The menu has a lot to offer, food has never disappointed me or my family. My favorite are the red chilaquiles. They have delicious desserts. The ambiance is great, staff super helpful, and there is plenty of seating, however because it is popular, wait times may vary. But you won't regret it. I definitely recommend. 10/10

While visiting Rocky Point we had brunch at Candy Cake! They are the cutest little restaurant that specializes in making fresh pastries, cakes and coffee. It smelled so amazing in there and the vibe was so relaxing. Everybody was super friendly and the food was amazing! So next time you're in Rocky Point make sure you head into the city and check out this local spot!

The food was amazing! The kids loved the French toasts that were made with whipped cream on top and powered sugar , it was plated so beautifully! As well as the adorable Mickey mouse pancake/ waffle. I loved my steak and eggs Mexican style, it was savory and spicy with the salsa that I requested! The Mexican sausage meat omelette was my husband's favorite. We have thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere with the amazing breakfast drink options of different varieties of smoothies, coffees and juices!! They even had chai Frappuccino! Now it was a bit pricey considered the location. But it was pretty delicious! The server we had checked up on us a couple of times but she spoke English, it definitely helped with ordering food.

Such a delightful little breakfast spot tucked away in Rocky Point, Mexico. I've been twice and both times were delicious! Expect a wait...this place is well known and the good word continues to spread. First...service is great, kind courteous quick. Second they have a huge menu with so many options and everything was tasty! I had the chilequiles omelette, hubby has the steak/chili dish (can't remember the name but it was soooo good)! And they have smoothies, coffee variations and a bakery with donuts and cakes! Must visit!

The food was great and the staff even better. The whole experience was the best we had that weekend and would highly recommend. Be sure to bring cash (cards NOT accepted) and preferably take pesos as the dollar conversion I received was like $16.74 pesos per dollar vs. $17.70 seen at an exchange on the main Blvd. as you drove into town. Because the food & svc. was 100% great, I didn't even question it.

Good variety of food. Service was good too. Wait time is long but fast seating. The donuts are delicious.

Such a cute spot with really great food! I wasn't a fan of the beans, but everything from Candy Cake was absolutely delicious. It's definitely popular, so parking can be a challenge as most nearby spots warn about towing, which is a bit of a hassle. Still, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Rocky Point! Service was very slow for us.

Ambiance is great here! Service is great, interior is clean- no flies! Came for a dessert, horchata was the best we had so far!

We visited this amazing breakfast restaurant for the second time. I ordered the Mexican combination and it was exceptional! My wife ordered the candy lover and it was some of the best French toast ever. We both highly recommend this restaurant!

This seems to be a popular bakery and cafe amongst locals and tourist so we decided to give it a try on our first day at puerto Peñasco. I wanted to indulge in some Mexican sweet treats while I'm visiting. The service was really good and so was the ambiance. The tres leches wasn't the usual we are used to having so was relatively dry for me but the cake tasted good. We took some donuts to try and they tasted fresh. It's a nice bakery overall.

Breakfast sandwich! Served with diced potatoes. The sandwich was really good the potatoes, while cooked good were just a little blah

So right now I'm pissed!!! This morning I was hangry! So we're my cousins- we wanted breakfast food to fill us up on our drive back to Phoenix. So we heard about this joint and decided to come here for the Chilaquiles. BOMB!! I got mine with chicken, 1 cousin got hers with steak, the other got hers with chorizo. The steak goes!!! It's tender and delicious! I wish I would have got the steak!!! So. Whatever. Let me tell you! On the way out , we ordered some donuts, cake and blueberry lemon cake. This is the reason I'm pissed! I ordered one piece of blueberry lemon cake. I'm officially fighting myself!!! That ish is ridiculous! It makes no sense how good it is!! I'm so pissed off that I only got 1! Gotdang it- I need to drive 3 hours or learn to make it myself- even though I don't want to! If you're in Rocky Point- visit those nice sweet people and check this place out!!!!

Grandma's omelette with refried beans and potatoes and a dona-latte with a maple nut donut.

Oh this nothing short of fantastic! It stays busy as it should for the menu that they have! My lady and I came for our six month anniversary. Make sure you come with cash before arriving as they do not accept card. We started waiting to be seated but the two ladies working the side bar decided to sit us right away. They were extremely sweet! I highly recommend the Grandma's omelette! Any time I visit, I try to make sure I come back.

Servers were friendly & attentive. Food was made to order, came out hot & super fresh. Can't beat the homemade tortillas. I had the breakfast burrito which was filling I only ate half. Friend had the breakfast skillet which was piping hot. The pancake was buttermilk & very tasty. Only thing was, I didn't see a bathroom but once outside, I noticed there were stairs to go upstairs where they do karaoke. Maybe the bathroom is up there. They accept cash & cards. Would recommend!

Our service was excellent: timely and efficient. Our meal consisted of Guacamole with Chips to start, Coconut Shrimp and 3-Flags Enchiladas with two glasses of Red Wine (sorry, no varietal description). The chef/cook must have prepared all the courses on-site because everything was prepared and cooked perfectly, and the plates reflected the expertise. $39 for the meal before the tip. As mentioned in a prior post, the restaurant is on Calle 13 across the the Hotel Señorial. After having driven past this block at least a hundred times, I'm amazed we just now tried this restaurant. We'll be back, repeatedly.
