Awesome vibe, but the food was a total letdown. We got the meatballs, steak bites and spinach artichoke dip. That way we could sample a few things. The meatballs we're decent. The steak bites were hard and way overcooked. The dip with it had a really off taste that did not compliment the bites. The dip had been sitting and the parmesan on top was hard, the dip was nothing but spinach. There was almost no binding sauce and I found one piece of artichoke. The tortilla chips were covered in parsley. Maybe we hit them up on a bad day, but based on the food we won't be back. read more

This is our go-to place! All of their food is amazing. I'm always sad there aren't more people there when we go because they deserve a ton of success. I am so old that I must say that The Point is probably the 5th restaurant within this building that I have patronized in all of my years living in Burien....65 lets just say. Nice and cozy place...but the drinks, as far as quantity of alcohol v. price.....the worst value in Burien. There are some other established places in town that have set the bar....and if you don't come close....I can't be swayed to be a regular here. It's not like I think I have to be drunk to say I have had a good time, but my opinion is it is a short pour....and over priced for the drinks. Love having this place in Burien. A dimly-lit sports bar that feels like it could fit in with any of the Seattle neighborhood spots. The food menu is gastropub-esque so it may not have options for everyone depending on your mood, but the food is all pretty great. Burgers have been tasty as well as the curry chicken wrap. Only thing I've had here that I wasn't a huge fan of was the roasted red pepper and tomato soup with bleu cheese crumbles, which was more of a thick and chunky bisque, in my opinion, and just not really what I was in the mood for when I ordered it. Lots of delicious menu choices served quickly, good cocktails, and every single server we encountered was awesome!! I also appreciate the gluten free options. I came twice when they first opened and this is my first time back since then. Service has really picked up. The bartender they had today was great. Attentive and positive! This is a great place to sit down for a beer and watch a game. Being only 21 and over you don't have to worry about little ones running around. The food is really what will bring me back. The Point Burger is on point. Thats the best way to describe it. With burger joints popping up left and right in the Burien, Tukwila area I'd spend the $14 for an a actual quality burger any day. The menu here isn't huge but what they offer is really good food at a pretty good price. Honestly that the only real down size some more option would be nice. The cheese curds will keep me coming back though. I was sad when McKelly's was sold but this place is a nice improvement over the old establishment. Solid 4 Stars! read more

We went in for a late dinner on a Tuesday, which was pretty busy. We waited a few minutes for a booth to be cleared, though there was open space at the bar and some tables. We interacted with three staff, who were all very nice. The cheese curds were great - loved the jam. I had the veggie sandwich and fries; husband had the soup and salad. The sandwich was good. I was worried the bread was going to be very crusty and hard, but it was just right. My husband thought his food was good as well. Host accepted my friends id. Waitress comes up and says it's expired, which it is not. And my friend just turned 22 she's from Connecticut and this woman cut my friends face open. We had the extreme fortune of visiting Yelp to find a restaurant to dine in on our way to the Seatac airport after a weekend in Seattle. I came across The Point, when I was looking for some sort of American Fare with a bar and outdoor seating. It was a little hard to find, but so worth it!! We sat on the patio and had 4 hours to kill before our flight. Our waitress was super nice and had no problem with us hanging out for 2+ hours, not that the place was super busy at 1:30 on a Sunday, but there's nothing worse than feeling like you've overstayed your welcome at a restaurant. We were hesitant to order the cheese curds as we've had poutine in Canada and were not fans. Our waitress reassured us by saying she would buy them if we didn't like them. They came with a side of ranch and a side of their homemade strawberry jalapeno jam. OMG!!! They were FANTASTIC!! That jam was the JAM!! So impressed. My husband then ordered The Point Burger (8oz.Wagyu beef patty, smoked Gouda, sherried shallot bacon jam with arugula, grilled tomato and pickle) Holy crap, amazeballs! I had the wherewithall to order the Freedom Fries. I think they were a special for July, but they'd be nuts to not have these on the menu permanently! Beer battered fries topped with house made bacon jam and blue cheese crumbles with green onions. TO DIE FOR!!! That bacon jam just makes life worth living. The Truth about The Point I REALLY wanted to like this place. When my friends and I heard that the owner of The Bridge in West Seattle, was opening a new place in Burien, I was SO excited! We have had great experiences at The Bridge. We are always looking for new cool places to go check out (and of course we remain loyal to our old favorites)... The Bridge is really solid. So what happened with The Point? As another reviewer put it, "What's the Point?" Its not that ALL the food is bad. It's hit and miss, and when it misses, it WAY misses. It's not that the cocktails are bad, they're just basic. It's not that the service is bad, it's just that it alternates from lack-luster to adequate. Bartenders are mostly un-engaging, (teetering on robotic) ... After giving The Point several chances, ultimately, the inconsistencies finally frustrated me enough to, "The POINT" of writing this review. When you first walk in, you see a dramatic change from the former (terrible) Mick-Kelleys Irish Bar, showing lots of interesting attention to detail and expensive interior. The interior is impressive but definitely a bit cold and industrial (reflective of the robotic service?)... nonetheless, It was exciting - at first. But, as another reviewer here put it, "you can't eat the decor." Our first visit when they first opened was actually great! The Caesar salad, cheese curds, and lamb stuffed jalapeños were all pretty darn amazing. We also tried a beef dish and a pasta dish that were also good. The Caesar was one of the best I have ever had and that is saying a LOT. So this great experience lead us to come back over and over trying to have the same experience and each and every time the food was small hits and BIG misses. the inconsistencies were all over the map. One time the cheese curds were like dried up breaded nothing. very little cheese. No flavor outside of the jam that came with it. The Caesar; one time there was barely any dressing, another time it was SO heavy on anchovy paste that it over powered the dressing with a disgusting metallic mercury fishy taste. Another time, it was SO over-dressed that the romaine leaves were literally swimming in dressing. The Lamb stuffed Jalapeños also were never the same as the first time. Rubbery, old, and "gamey" tasting. Time after time, we left with plates less then half eaten, questions were asked and we gave honest feedback... never anything taken off the bill (maybe once?)... Aside from this, the drinks/bar experience is just whatever. Something is missing. Music maybe? More engaging bartenders would definitely help. That is NOT to say that they are ALL uninterested in their profession. There are a couple cool ones. The last straw was when we tried to go twice during their posted kitchen hours -30 minutes to an hour before their posted kitchen closing hours, and we were told, "sorry it was slow and we let the cook go home early." That is a huge pet-peeve of mine. People make PLANS Please do not advertise restaurant/kitchen hours as a bait and switch, and change it whenever you feel like it to save a penny here and there. Sadly, this seems to be a "B-TWN thing" - and they are not the only place guilty of this, (See my Sidestreet review)...Set a business model, hire some reliable, consistent cooks, -and stick with it. I am here to tell the TRUTH, and the truth is this: The Point is pedestrian and unreliable at best. Its hard to believe it is owned and operated by the same people who own The Bridge, and I'm so disappointed this place turned out this way. read more

I like this place for a date night away from the kids. Well actually away from ALL kids since it is 21+ only!! The food is good, I have had the chicken and waffle sliders, sweet potato fries, cheese curds and a salad I can't remember the name of off the top of my head... but all of the food was great and the service was as well. I came in here for the first Seahawks game of the season this past Sunday. I was immediately greeted with warmth and friendliness. Then I ordered food, which was the Banana bread french toast. Oh my, it was delicious! I highly recommend this food item to everyone. There's also a good selection of drinks. This is a good place to watch sports. read more

My friend has food allergies and the kitchen staff, via the server, were very transparent about how they prep and cook their dishes. Everyone was really great. This place is awesome! On my first visit I ordered the chili and they brought me their Italian wedding soup by mistake. I thought it was a pretty weird looking and tasting chili but then decided I really liked it! Then I ordered their cheese curds. They were quite busy and it took a bit to get them but it was worth the wait. Omg, deep fried food never tasted so good. The next time I visited I decided to go all out and order the tomato soup, their fried beans and the cheese curds. They brought me tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. I corrected the order but then regretted it because the grilled cheese looked so good. (I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not clear enough when ordering.) Anyway, I proceeded to eat all of the yummy fried beans AND the fried cheese curds while my 98 lb 91 year old aunt skipped the fried food. Needless to say, I was full for the rest of the day and then worked out twice the following day to make up for it but it was worth every extra fried bite! read more

First time for brunch. GF ordered veggie scramble. Server said it would have mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, etc. When served, it had zero of those ingredients. The sever was very accommodating, apologetic and offered to replace the meal. My eggs Bennie was a disappointment too. The homemade biscuit it was served on was very doughy tasting and the ham slices were dry and chewy. The eggs and sauce were good though. We probably won't be back for brunch-lunch, but will give them another try for dinner. read more

Dang this place was perfect. The feel is laid back and the food is phenomenal. Had the Gouda Mac and cheese with chicken and I'd have it every day. Had meatball apps and they are the best meatball I've ever had. Server Nate was absolutely awesome. Perfect frequency and I felt he read us really well and met our UNSPOKEN DEMANDS.
