When we had a major leak, Rick showed up the next day--on a Sunday--and quickly discovered the issue was far more involved than anyone had realized. We've had plumbing problems for over 15 years that no one could properly diagnose, but Rick and his crew tracked it down. They opened up the ceiling, rerouted pipes, cleared clogs, and replaced sections that were rusted and corroded. For the first time in over a decade, everything works exactly as it should. The leak had caused significant water damage, so we had to bring in a restoration company. We were leaving town the very next day, but Rick completely handled the situation. We trusted him with a house key, and he coordinated daily visits with the restoration crew, keeping us updated through frequent texts. His communication was exceptional. Rick definitely responded quickly around Saturday early afternoon. This was not an emergency call, it was to continue some plumbing related to hot and cold supply lines for our soon-to-be-installed freestanding bathtub. If you need emergency service, this might be a good choice for rapid response. I wanted soldered connections, but Rick explained they don't use that method. They use pro-press fittings. Rick without a doubt is the most honest, fair, and reliable plumber I have encountered. I hired Rick for a toilet overflow at my home that I shared with my family. When I called he was there within 15 min. I was so impressed with his professionalism that I hired him for a job at my investment property. Seriously could not ask for a better experience!!! This guy is hands down one of the most reliable and quick responding people I have encountered in a long time. We had a clog somewhere in our drain line from the washer. He was able to come out the same day and work on the problem. He used a smaller snake and it seemed to work. But then realized the back up was still happening and used a longer snake. My washer now drains well again without poring out water all over my garage (really annoying to clean up). However, he also took the time to just check what was up under the pipes and went I got he crawl space and checked all my pipes. Come to find out there are areas where the drain pipes are cracked and water is leaking out every time we run the water . He took video and photos and sent them all to me. He was reasonable and price was appropriate for us. He wasn't pushy and stayed until he knew the issue was fixed (for now). I am keeping him in my phone on speed dial. However, when it comes to major issues requiring comprehensive visions, planning and structural thoughts, I do not think Rick is particularly good. I cannot specifically tell the huge issues we faced, but I would not have faced the issue had I asked someone else to do the work. When I ask him explanations about the cause of the issues, he changes his explanations, none of which really convinced me. He helped figure out , clean up and resolve a serious leak problem necessitating almost a new kitchen, involving my dishwasher, hot water heater, and EBMUD water pressure.
