I have to rave about the amazing dining experience I had here last night. From the moment we sat down we felt taken care of. Our waiter was so attentive (I didn't get his name but he was great!), also, I believe the chef or owner (Jackie, on her necklace :)) came out and was so sweet and checked in on us multiple times. The ambiance is so chill and relaxing, food was delish esp being that my friend and I are veggies, we were in heaven. Noticed they even had blankets you could take if you sit outside, outside looked really cute. Our dinner was made when they treated us to a cake on the house as we were celebrating some exciting news. Such a good date spot, highly recommend! The Plot is one of the BEST vegan restaurant in Orange County. Everything is organic, they grown their own food and they make everything in house. The food taste spectacular and it's made with so much love. You won't be disappointed even if you are not vegan. We brought our friend who is a meat eater and he absolutely LOVED it. It's own by this cute couple who are very sweet and the staff is super friendly and you feel like home. The food was good l, the service excellent but we didn't know that was a vegan restaurant so we didn't know what to order. Even though we diced to stay at the restaurant, the server was really helpful and de experience was great. I had the carrot tacos and it had all the flavors of a perfectly done fish taco. I also had the tofu chicken caprese sandwich which my friend didn't think sounded exciting because it's tofu. But the tofu was the first restaurant that I've ever seen that actually marinated the INSIDE of the tofu. I loved it. And the staff was very Ahimsa. I felt really good after eating here. We just loved The Plot. Not all of us went with an open mind but all of us left in love with the delicious cuisine! We still talk about the risotto and chicken and biscuits and all the appetizers. We liked it so much we rented part of the space for a wedding rehearsal dinner - which was a raving success! We had a pretty big group for our anniversary - 8 of us in total. So we decided to order a bunch of dishes and share. We tried the Cabbage (very good), Cheesy Truffle fries (sauce on the side) which were just ok. The sauce wasn't very truffly and was bland, Chronic - one of my favorite dishes of the night, Pickle & Crudite - FABULOUS, Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage - my FAVORITE dish of the night, Shepherds Pie - just ok. It was a little bland. The Pasta, was a little disappointing in that it also needed some seasoning and sounded much better than it tasted. Caesar - soooo good! It was actually the grandkids (3 and 5 yrs old) favorite. Eggplant and Focaccia - very good. I really liked the tomato jam and the focaccia was really good. For dessert, we had the Mango Brulee and it was DELICIOUS. All in all, not everything was delicious, but you could feel the love and pride that was put into it. The service was AMAZING. Christian was our server and was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with our large group. My husband, who is not vegan said he want to go back. To me, that is the best compliment! read more

Our waiter was especially thoughtful and even brought out two complimentary desserts for my folks since we were celebrating their birthdays. That was such a nice touch and definitely appreciated! I am not usually a fan of vegan food and don't actively seek it out but I've always wanted to try the place out since it was sitting unopened at the CAMP unopened for months I had to give it a chance when I heard they had a grand opening. The Plot really changed my perspective on vegan food especially their stance on making everything on their menu sustainable and waste-free. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried "chicken" and although it was a bit over salted the gravy and texture of the biscuits helped balance it out. The dark chocolate torte was delicious to finish off the meal and didn't make me feel like crap or heavy like a normal chocolate cake would. It was light, moist and the fruit topping and rum glaze really made it decadent and rich. Besides that, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is beautifully designed with a nice layout, quiet atmosphere and warm ambience on a cold winter dinner night. Will definitely coming back here for a bite while shopping at the CAMP. read more

Hurray, I'm happy to say this new vegetarian restaurant is hitting it out of the park! We can finally eat something besides salad when we're craving vegetables but also wanting to eat out. Everything was good, but we thought the roasted cauliflower was incredible!! All the staff were really nice and attentive. We even got a little pre-meal beet snack from the kitchen! First off! I had high expectations for this restaurant, as I've been to the location in Oceanside a few times. And let me tell you! Tonight's visit did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal and unique. Even a non vegan would love this place. My server Michelle was great! Her recommendations were on point and I absolutely enjoyed everything I ordered. This place is doing magical things with plants! We had two of the night's specials, a watermelon ceviche and a three tomato salad, and for our entree we had the chorizo and polenta. We were both stunned at how delicious everything was. The chefs here are really thinking about all the details. This is high-end vegan fare, but the ambiance is casual and relaxed. Oh, and the dessert--who knew vegan creme brûlée could be among the best crème brûlées I've ever had? It was thick, like good flan, and infused with just the right amount of mango. The drinks list is also impressive with a range of cocktails, wines, and great beer on tap. And our server was so friendly and attentive. Of course we are disappointed to see Native Foods no long at The Camp but it's comforting that the location was replaced by another vegan restaurant. The Plot was really good. We were greeted by Christian who was very knowledgeable about the menu and gladly told us about the restaurant and their values.. zero waste, no single use plastics and their own compost. Monday night is Sushi night so we tried the nigiri sampler platter, the chatted broccolini and the Japanese pancake. Then we shared the carrot fish and chips. SO TASTY! I felt like I was in England. The carrot fish had a slight malt vinegar taste that was excellent. We loved the food and can't wait to try more dishes and the brunch. The dessert was just ok but between the service and all the unique and great food we give it 5 stars read more

We ordered Korean barbecue, steamed cabbage, cauliflower, sushi, beet sandwich, tacos, and all three desserts! My favorite dessert is the purple one.
