We had the lodge decorated, inside and outside to accommodate all our guests. Scott did not hesitate to help us move the furniture, chairs and even got our beer kegs set up. We were able to enjoy the grounds with morning walks, late night talks, a fire pit and the deck with an incredible view. It's truly a weekend the entire family won't forget! The staff were friendly and the entire check in process was easy. For the price, we got an individual tiny cabin with two bedrooms and a bath. It came with a simple kitchen and an awesome patio overlooking the, unfortunately, near empty lake. The staff informed us that the lake had been drained to help fight recent California wildfires, so that made me feel a little bit better. Anyways, the cabin was clean and everything you would need for a nice relaxing stay. My biggest qualm was that the hot water did not work so we were not able to take a shower (unless it was ice water cold). And the Internet did not work - not for browsing or streaming pleasure but simply for cell phone service in such a remote area. All in all, a decent spot to stay in the Shasta Lake area.

The McConnell Arboretum and Garden is a quick walk over the Sundial Bridge. Tickets are available to the events at the McConnell Arboretum. During the winter, they do have holiday lights. During our summer visits, they had lantern of various shapes. We made reservations for a 2 queen room. They gave us what we reserved. It had a view of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park (not much to see from our room). The queen beds were comfortable. The bathroom for our 2 queen room had a tub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were the Sheraton special. It was good enough for a one night stay. They do have a fitness room with cardio equipment and weights. It is sufficient for getting a workout in. This hotel does have a lounge for Platinum and above members. Non-alcoholic beverages like soda and water are complimentary. Alcohol is available for a fee. Evening appetizers were typical of Sheraton's. They only had a cheese plate. No dinner like at Marriott's. Breakfast offerings were a little better than the evening appetizers with scrambled eggs and bacon. The Sheraton was a good hotel that gave me a good night sleep.

It was not large and should have been for the price. But it was super clean and very comfortable. Redding does not have a lot of choices and I think the Sheraton knows this and if you don't want to be in a 2 star hotel, you have little choice. The pool was great and it was a hot day so we used it. They have a 24 hour business center which is fine and I needed it. The eatery is just fine, not great. But you will find something you want. This silliness about no one use straws drives me nuts. I actually use a straw so get me one. They have valet or self parking for a fee. They have one nice bar and that is all one needs. I would not stay here for days, but for a couple of days it was fine, just too much money. The outside is super pretty and the lobby is great. I think this place is new and that is great.

Works are running in and out of the grooms room "playing" as tgey stated when asked why they were in the room... unacceptable. Grounds were unkept, tree branches hitting party in the face, debri on roof tops that blew onto our tables that were prepared for dinner, dance pad filled with debri, broken tables and chairs.

We chose Woody's because our little one wanted mac 'n cheese and they have some of the best in town! I cannot rave enough about the restaurant and how well they handled the party. The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! You guys made the party enjoyable and easy for us. We felt we could take a step back and enjoy our daughter's day! :)

For the rate, i would recommend looking elsewhere. When we were leaving we were harassed by a homeless individual that caught us off guard due to not being able to see him walk towards us. Chairs uncomfortable and not sturdy if you have guests over 240#. Bathrooms were clean with supplies which is why i have it two stars. Very disappointed.

We held an event at this place Saturday May 24th and although the space is nice.... everything that…read morehappened was completely unprofessional. I was told I would receive the check-in information the night before the event but the morning of I still had nothing. We called and texted MANY times and had no response. Nobody answered until we reached out via social media and finally got a response 13 minutes before check-in time. 53 minutes later we finally got into the building because on top of everything (and trying to think of a plan B) the keypad battery was dead. We allotted for 2 hours of setup before the party started which would have been perfect timing but as guests arrived we were still working and super stressed. Guests who arrived on time even started helping us. At the end of everything we asked for a partial refund and there was no response. My family and I will not be renting this event house again and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else.
