    Cabin 18

We stayed here last week as first time visitors. The decor is a really fun mix of Sierra foothills-retro-western-style and the cabin was extremely clean/comfy. The owners/hosts Scott and Julie could not have been more hospitable. When our skiboat encountered problems Scott and Nolan jumped in to help - where does that ever happen anymore? This place is a favorite of long-time visitors and we just joined that club. The dock and slips are a great feature for those who want to walk down the hill and jump in their boat for a day on Lake Shasta. The owners also operate Basshole Brews just a short drive away - where the food and drink are memorable. We'll be back!

AMAZING resort!! The owners are so kind and make the expirience great here :) The honeymoon suite cabin was amazing, clean, beautiful and the 2 person hammock was so fun! Lake views are amazing Great pool and bbq spot and fun kayaking and paddle boarding. Had a great time singing at the basshole brews and would be honored to come back!! Thank you!!!!!

Just HAVE to share our AWESOME experience! I am the commercial captain at The Fun Factory Guided Powerboat Adventures on Lake Shasta for the past 10 years. I had some long time VIP guests come in for an un planned 3 day lake retreat and even though they were quite busy they gave us the most amazing cabin, with a beautiful view of the lake and the inside was absolutely gorgeous!! There was even a captain themed room just for me! My guests usually stay at a different resort but they were booked up so we were OVERJOYED when Scott and Julie found room for us on this holiday weekend! Over the top Covid cleanliness through out, we spent most the time we were not boating on the outside patio with the Jimi Buffett themed patio bar which is soo perfect for my VIP guests a HUGE Jimi Buffett fan! Fun Factory has been sending our clients toTsadi Resort for years, Scott and Julie always treat them all like family, all our guests LOVE IT and now that I have had a chance to stay there I am going to reserve the Captains Suite on every over night stay I can! I cant say enough great comments about the lodging, I slept like a baby, the ac worked great, the bathrooms were even beautiful, and two thumbs up to the interior decorator thats the NICEST cabin I have ever rented hands down! Also, my VIP's always bring their service dog and of course that was no problem either! Spooner LOVED the place! If you are looking for lake lodging at its finest look no further then the Tsadi Resort on the Sac arm of Shasta Lake! They even offer free dock slips, free kayak and paddle boards to use and if you dont have a boat Fun Factory Guided Powerboat Adventures will pick you up on their dock for a boatload of fun, wakeboard and wake surf lesson, tubing and fishing and return you back to the Tsadi dock so you dont have to drive! Keep up the great work Scott and Julie, It was my sincere pleasure to be YOUR guest this time! ShastaLakeTours.com captain Michele give's Tsadi Resort 5 big fat happy stars!! See you in April! I came here from the Bay Area on Presidents' Day weekend with my fiancé. What a treat! The new owners are so sweet they made us feel right at home. The scenery is great and I can't wait to come back, this is a great all year place. I hear there's skiing 30 minutes away so I'm hoping I can check it out next winter. The cottages are small, clean and cozy, with an electric fire place, a deck that views the lake and a small kitchen. It was just what we needed for a romantic weekend away from the city. The first day we made breakfast at the cabin and ate out in the deck with the amazing views. In the afternoon we went to Mount Shasta caverns, it was breath taking. Our second day we enjoyed the outdoors and went off-roading, running and kayaking. We didn't get around to go on the hikes and see all the waterfalls there are around here, but it's another reason to come back.

Our cabin with a tremendous view!

My wife and I wanted to take a short vacation while the kids were on Easter break. After deciding that we would like to tour the Caverns at Lake Shasta, we took a chance on Tsasdi Resort (Pronounced ZAWS-DEE) and boy are we glad we did! Immediately, we felt at home as the owner's Scott and Julie welcomed us with the greatest hospitality one could ask for! Our children felt right at home, and the cabin, to our amazement, was remarkably well-kept and perfect for our family. Scott and Julie went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant for all of us. Scott took my boys fishing on the docks, for rides on the golf cart and quad runner, and let us borrow the kayaks for one of the greatest family memories we've ever enjoyed. As owners, this wonderful couple are truly performing their dream job---making memories for families. You can feel their love and sense of enjoyment in what they do! We loved it so much, that we not only stayed an EXTRA day, but we decided to have an annual family gathering here as well! We have attached some pictures to share a sense of how much we enjoyed our stay, and we know you will enjoy yours also! Blessings, Aaron & Karen Walrath

Our wedding was everything we could have ever wanted because of the attention to detail and support that Scott and Julie offered. The venue was absolutely beautiful and they were so accommodating for our unconventional Halloween wedding. I think the only change I would have made would have been to take Scott's advice more on where to set up the band. These guys definitely know how an event should go. We are so lucky to have them in our backyard :)

Stayed this weekend with my boyfriend for my birthday and couldn't have asked for better location or set-up. Cabin is just enough to feel comfy and equipped with its what you need, but rustic enough to get an outdoor lake experience. We were a little worried about not having enough to do without a boat, but no problem at all because Tsadi has paddle boards, kayaks, and a canoe at no charge. The dock also has plenty of space to just set up shop for the day and lounge. Owners were really helpful and friendly and have great suggestions of restaurants and hikes nearby. We've been on A LOT of Northern California weekend getaways, and we both agreed this was a favorite. We will be back!

My family and I visited Tsasdi's resort over the Memorial Day weekend and absolutely loved it! Scott and Julie provide the us with best hospitality. The cabins are really clean with great views of the lake. There's lot of things for our kids/family to do, bike ride, fish, kayak, play basketball, volleyball and campfires at night and much more! We especially liked the boat dock mooring for our boat for easy access to the Shasta lake. We've already reserved a cabin for next year. This will defiantly be an annually summer destination for our family.

There were spider webs everywhere, ceiling fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned. Even their own cleaning crew said it was bad. This was concerning to me because they charge everyone a $265 cleaning fee. Then when this was discussed with Lori, she was confused as to why we didn't bring it up at check in. I didn't know I had to thoroughly inspect the cleanliness of a rental upon arrival. I thought it was standard. Not here apparently. Lori was responsive but continued to make comments as things came up like "I'm surprised you're deciding to stay", as if we didn't pay $800/night to stay there. Their stove burners had issues the whole weekend, the slider wouldn't lock, they were using a PVC pipe for safety. House was very dated for the price. Views were beautiful but Wasn't impressed with the house at all.

We frequent Shasta Lake and the Lakehead area, so we're familiar with the region and understand that many businesses are heavily dependent on the seasonal tourism industry. We chose Lakeshore Resort because of the amenities advertised on their website, including the pool, bar, restaurant, store, upgraded cabins, proximity to the lake and boat launch, and the option to rent an RV space next to our cabin to keep our boat. This setup was highly recommended and seemed perfect for our anniversary getaway. When we arrived on Thursday, the managers had everything ready for us and were very pleasant and welcoming. Before I continue, I want to say that my husband and I are not overly picky travelers. We don't expect luxury accommodations. However, when we entered Cabin #10, it was nothing like the photos shown online. We had paid for one of the upgraded cabins and were shocked by its condition. The cabin was extremely dated and in significant disrepair. The ceiling was falling down and had a hole in it that appeared to be plugged with toilet paper. The floors were uneven throughout, with multiple flooring types connected by jagged transitions and no transition strips. The ceiling fan wobbled so severely that it looked as though it might fall. The pantry and stove shown in the online photos were not present. The walls and ceilings had patches of mismatched white paint throughout. The shower did not drain properly because the floor sloped away from the drain, and the water temperature fluctuated between scalding hot and ice cold. Most of the electrical outlets were unusable because they had been painted over. The bed sagged in the middle, and the breakfast bar felt unstable, as though it could collapse if leaned on. At that point, all we could do was laugh and decide to go to the restaurant while we figured out what we wanted to do. On the way there, we noticed signs posted on the pool fence stating that the pool was closed for repairs. Once inside the restaurant, the hostess immediately informed us that the grill was down and only cold food items were available. We were happy to see our favorite bartender, Royce from Basshole, behind the bar, which ended up being the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed some cocktails and cold food, which was actually excellent. After dinner, we spoke with the manager and explained our concerns regarding the closed pool, the restaurant limitations, and the condition of the cabin. She was very apologetic and accommodating. She mentioned that she had not been aware the grill was down. We understand that these issues were largely beyond the control of the on-site management and appeared to be the result of decisions made by the new ownership. She immediately refunded the RV space we had rented for our boat. We decided to give the resort another chance and stay one night. We were told the grill would likely be operational the following day and that the pool might be repaired. With temperatures forecast to reach 102 degrees, both amenities were important factors in our decision to stay. Unfortunately, we got very little sleep. The ceiling fan wobbled and rattled throughout the night, and the wall-mounted air conditioner was extremely loud and had a musty odor. The cabin wasn't necessarily dirty--it was simply very old, stale, and poorly maintained. The overall condition made us uncomfortable. The next morning, we packed our belongings, returned to the office, checked out early, and requested a refund. Once again, the management team was professional, understanding, and accommodating, and they refunded our stay without issue. I want to emphasize that the managers handled the situation as well as they possibly could. Our disappointment lies with the condition of the property and the apparent lack of investment by the new ownership. We work hard for our money and simply could not justify spending approximately $200 per night for accommodations in that condition, especially for a special occasion like our 24th wedding anniversary. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend staying at Lakeshore Resort in its current state. Until significant improvements are made to the cabins and advertised amenities are restored and operational, prospective guests should carefully consider whether the resort offers the value they expect for the price. Just to be clear, we were not refunded for our entire stay. We were charged for one night in a run-down, dilapidated cabin that looked nothing like what was depicted on the website. Your statement that we were "fully refunded" is simply not accurate. Additionally, we were never given a discounted rate, despite your claim that we received one. We paid the full advertised price when we booked our stay.

What Went Well: * Booking and Check-In: The resort staff were organized, clear, and responsive. From initial inquiries to payment reminders, everything was handled efficiently. Check-in took just a few minutes, and they helped us transport luggage and spent 30-60 minutes giving us a personal walkthrough of the boat, which we appreciated. * Boat Quality: We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a nicer boat. The vessel was well-equipped, featuring a hot tub, water slide, full kitchen (oven, microwave, running water)--everything was in great condition and very enjoyable. * Support and Communication: Throughout the trip, the staff were easily reachable by phone and did wellness check-ins, which made us feel supported. When we had issues, they were quick to advise and assist. * Departure and Return: Staff helped guide us out of the harbor with hand signals and came out to help dock the boat at the end of the trip, which we really appreciated. What Could Be Improved: * Instruction at Check-In: The person assigned to instruct us was clearly more mechanically inclined and admitted it was their first time training guests. The walkthrough was overly technical, hard to absorb, and not well suited for first-timers--especially with 11 people depending on us. We wish we had received the manual in advance, or even better, a simple infographic showing common procedures (e.g., starting the boat, docking, using the generator). * Safety & Docking Design Flaws: A major issue occurred when another group walking across the rocks used our mooring ropes as support, dislodging the stake and causing our boat to drift. The bridge (gangway) detached and fell underwater, and due to its weight (~50-100 lbs), we struggled to lift it back. This wasn't addressed in the manual, and the design--where the bridge is easily detached and only secured by ropes underneath the boat--feels flawed. While staff were helpful over the phone and eventually explained how to fix it free of charge, we were initially told it would cost $150, which was frustrating. This kind of issue could be much harder for smaller groups or families to handle safely. Final Thoughts: Despite a few technical and structural frustrations, Antlers Resort staff showed professionalism, courtesy, and willingness to help throughout the weekend. The boat itself was excellent, and the free upgrade and strong support helped offset the downsides. However, we recommend that they improve onboarding materials and bridge design for a smoother and safer guest experience. We'd still consider returning, but would come better prepared--and would strongly suggest that future guests request the manual early and ask about bridge/docking procedures in advance.
