I love how everything is spread out, so even where there are a lot of kids, it rarely feels cramped. It is always well maintained and looks nice, feels safe for the kids with the fencing around it, and just overall a great place to be.

Was asked to sign another waiver yet again...The young lady whom I spoke to last weekend was very rude, she literally mock me and laughed, walked away !! Until today when there was a young gentleman name Rodolfo who clearly likes his job was kind enough to help rectify the issues. this man was very patient, took his time too explain why this could have possibly continued to happen even gave me a complementary entry for all our troubles. I would definitely the owner training the other employees on how to engage customers, customer service is key. Thank you !! Rodolfo

Compared to some other parks I've been to in Chico, this one is on the safer side. I've yet to have a negative experience here. Normally my reviews are a little longer, but it's a public park. You can come bask in the sun, unwind a little, play a sport, meet a friend, chat a little and have a pleasant time, sit on a bench while staring into the distance for no other reason other than it's calming. That's what I do when I go to any park.

Staff sits behind a partitioned desk, never coming out to talk to patrons, supervise classes, or be friendly. The little kid classes are taught by college-age kids who don't generally seem to like little kids and send their students to take a "water break" every 10 minutes of a 60 minute class, as well as, sending them to free play for last 15 minutes of class-- so in essence the kids get about 30 minutes of group instruction. The bright spot is that little kids love to jump and roll around so they still have fun.

Nope. It was a…read morecrowded day, I totally get that. We were there about 2 hours and when we arrived there were no skate trainer assists available to rent. I put my name on a wait list. 20 min later, I noticed many people had returned their skate assists. There were probably 6 of them behind the desk. I probably asked 5x or more if it was our turn on the wait list, every time I was told no. At one point the girl said "you're welcome to walk around out there with your own child" I have a hurt shoulder and a prosthetic hip, otherwise I would've :( Long story short, my son sat on the bench next to the skate rentals, waiting for his turn on the wait list, fighting back tears. In the 45+ min we waited, no one from the wait list ahead of us collected a single skate trainer. And we were repeatedly told we couldn't use one. I definitely understand waiting our turn, but when no one ahead is coming to collect them..... The guy at the skate rental place when we first arrived was super nice tho! But the girls I wasn't impressed with.

It's conveniently located with lots of drop off and pick up parking. We love how the school is decorated with student art and projects that the students create and inspirational quotes from the staff. It's fun to get the art projects at pick up to go on the fridge too. Being a first time mom heading back to work was hard, but I felt confident in Katie's Kids and am thankful we get to attend here.

Don't…read moreget me wrong, I LOVE that there is a more affordable option offered for the Chico area and that it's much cheaper than WaterSprites (by about half), but being able to go into an indoor temperature controlled pool without having to put on sunscreen and be blinded by the sun and having all the changing tables and cubbies is just a far superior and more calm experience. At the PV pool where CARD lessons are being held, they have a nothing other than a narrow bench around the border of a large room. It's not like I can change my baby ahead of time because swim diapers only hold in solids, so I find this extremely inadequate for the age group the swim lessons are offered for. My impression is that the instructors at WaterSprites are also much more specialized in working with the younger babies and kids. I guess I'm more into the bougie over the budget experience, LOL. Water sprites also did end up finding us a spot in the other class that worked for our new schedule, so that was much appreciated. That being said, our experience in the Tuesday 1 PM class versus the Tuesday 9 AM class was just totally different. In the Tuesday 1 PM class, the temperatures in the pool and the room were exactly where they needed to be, and there was only the baby class going at that time. When we changed to the 9 AM class due to our new schedule conflict (this was in January), we learned that the pool and the room were much cooler because it hadn't had a time to warm up. There also seemed to be another small class operating at the same time. With the babies, I was of the opinion that the temperature being high enough and having the very calm, lower stimulating environment were critical. Ultimately, we did end up canceling our membership because it was definitely a push for my husband to take her in the morning before work, and then to be confronted with temperatures that were still a bit too cold and an environment that was a bit too overstimulating for our baby (6 months old at the time), it was just.... Not quite "there" enough to continue at that age and time of our lives and at that premium price. That is not to say that they didn't do a good job. While there is some improvement that could be made, overall, you cannot get that same service elsewhere in Chico and we would probably return to water sprites if/when the stars align
