It was raining so we were looking for something indoors and came across Candeeland! $16 for 1 hour of play, which was plenty of time for my 20 month old! It was his first time at an indoor playground so I wasn't sure what to expect but he had soooo much fun. We will definitely be back :) We made sure to go right when they opened so it was less crowded. By the time we left, it was too crowded and I was getting a bit nervous for my little one as there were lots of bigger kids running around. Candeeland was such a wonderful experience for both our daughters and for us moms. Our daughters and seeing each other in a while, and they suggested this place. It was completely cost affordable, and they even have deals outside of the normal price so that we will definitely be returning with our son. $10 for the last hour, and toddler Tuesdays 10am-12pm. I wish I would have known during the summer lol! And this is the only place in the region I've experienced that offers coffee, which I LOVE! They delivered it to me at my table since I was on crutches and were so kind. The kids loved the ice cream too, tasted like fruit punch and never had anything like it! My family has been loyal customers for quite some time, and we frequently take the train from Downtown Los Angeles to visit because our two-year-old son absolutely loves Candeeland. Unfortunately, after today's experience, we do not plan on returning. Today was an extremely hot day, and after making the trip to your facility, we were met with a level of customer service that was both rude and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. When we entered, the employee at the front desk was assisting another customer. I patiently waited until their conversation was finished before simply saying, "One hour, please." Rather than acknowledging me or greeting us, he abruptly told me to "wait" in a dismissive manner. He then asked how tall my son was. I estimated around 3 to 3 1/2 feet. Without measuring him, he immediately stated that my son could not enter Little Land--his favorite part of Candeeland. We have visited many times before without issue, and my son certainly has not suddenly grown a foot since our last visit. When I questioned it, he responded, "Trust me, kids grow fast," which came across as patronizing and dismissive. Although I disagreed with the decision, I accepted it and we stayed in the larger play area. Ironically, while my son was apparently considered too tall for the toddler section by an inch or two, the larger play area presented actual safety concerns. Older children were constantly running and jumping around him, and several children repeatedly climbed up the slides the wrong way while others were trying to come down. At least three or four employees were standing nearby but made no effort to intervene. It was difficult not to notice the contrast: strict enforcement over a marginal height limit while obvious safety issues went completely unaddressed. Later, we attempted to use the restroom. The larger accessible stall was locked despite being unoccupied, forcing parents into a very small stall with no hook to hang a diaper bag. Anyone caring for a toddler knows how impractical--and frankly unsanitary--that is. When I informed the same employee that the larger stall was locked, he audibly huffed, rolled his eyes, and responded, "Fine, I'll go do my due diligence." That is not an appropriate way to speak to a paying customer simply bringing an issue to your attention. As we were leaving, the same employee stared at me with what felt like a smirk. After the entire interaction from the moment we entered until we left, I could not shake the feeling that we were being treated differently than other guests. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling unwelcome and singled out. This is especially disappointing because every previous visit has been positive. We have happily supported your business and made the effort to travel from Downtown Los Angeles because our son genuinely enjoys spending time there. It is unfortunate that one employee's attitude completely overshadowed what had always been a wonderful experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. No family should feel disrespected from the moment they walk through the door, and customer service should never be an afterthought--especially at a business centered around children and families. read more

It's big - there's an area for smaller kids with ball pit and slide, pretend kitchen and such. Bigger area for big kids - big slide and climbing areas & parent sitting area. This place is not that great. The owner had previously changed the info to the previous Yelp page that he managed due to all the negative reviews. I had tried giving this place a go a few times in the past, but I regretted wasting my time and money every single time. Pro's: inside the Burbank mall so there's ample parking and other things to do after the kids tire out from playing Con's: 1) the layout is awful. Seating is located in the far back so you can easily loose sight of your child that's running around the other side which is right by the front where the registers are. There is no security gate or anyone manning the front door. God forbid you loose sight of your child and they slip out the front while the workers at the registers are busy helping people coming in. The owner had addressed this issue in his previous Yelp page citing that it is the parent's responsibility to keep track of their children. 2) The whole shoe policy is ridiculous when you have workers walking around inside tracking the dirt from their shoes anyways. Other indoor playgrounds have their staff wearing socks only as well or provide some sort of shoe covering for the staff. In the previous Yelp page the owner had cited employee safety as the rationale why they can wear shoes and customers cannot. Make that make sense?! 3) The common areas are not well maintained. The two times I've visited on a weekend in the middle of the day there's always drinks/water bottles and wrappers all over the floors or chairs. 4) the staff don't do a great job of monitoring children acting unruly. Each time I've been there I've witnessed some bigger kids being too aggressive while playing with the loose balls causing other smaller kids to fall. There are kids running up the slide causing traffic for the kids trying to come down. At the other Candeeland locations or even other indoor playgrounds the staff is present. Sometimes they even have a specific staff member assigned to watch certain areas, not just for the little kids, to make sure that kids are playing properly. I've seen staff have to step in and tell the kids to cut it out or ask them where their parents are to have a talk with them. read more

I came here for the first time yesterday. Make sure to bring socks otherwise they charge you $4 and if you have an extra adult with you there's also a $5 fee. BEWARE they have a hideous scent being pumped through 24/7 that will give you a migraine/make you nauseous. TAKE AWAY THE FRAGRANCE how is this not toxic? My daughters have been waiting for this spot to open up and it finally did. A super colorful playroom that's attached to an awesome candy store with a very nice candy selection at very good prices. The playroom itself is reasonably priced, at $20 for 2 hours of play or a monthly unlimited pass for $70. We got the 2 hours of play and it was more than enough. The slightly older kids' play area was a bit compact and a bit congested, but there is also a separate smaller kids play area, which was more open and spacious. The colors were insanely vivid and bright all throughout this establishment. And very importantly,I must say that I felt very safe with my kids playing here, as from the construction standpoint I didn't see any red flags at all, no sharp corners, everything cushioned and safe for the kids. The food bar offered a generous selection of snacks for kids and adults at really awesome prices. My nachos for $2, although basic, reminded me of the simpler times in high school when friends and I were fighting for each nacho cheese-filled chip. In addition to the snack bar, there is also some seating area for parents to look over their kids. The area includes some massage chairs. And finally, there is a good size dining area, where you can enjoy some food with your family. With customer service being friendly all around and with some good, safe, very colorful playroom amenities for the kids, this establishment is a great addition to the mall and to the Burbank community as a whole. So in all honesty, the playground itself was extremely underwhelming. To think we waited almost 2 years from the time of announcement for it to open, I was expecting a monster type of indoor playground but it was extremely small compared to what I was expecting, especially for the delay in opening. My children and I have been to plenty of indoor playgrounds in the valley and around LA. They are indoor playground connoisseurs, and one thing we know from experience is that timed indoor playgrounds are usually a skip. The best playgrounds do not have a time limit: Kids Avenue, Kidztopia, Fun Play World, Kids World, Wonderland, etc. This one does. The only saving grace is the price. 15 for an hour and 20 for 2. If these prices ever increase, it will not be worth it. That said, for the price, it is decent; the structure is decent in height, with plenty to do inside for kids to play with, but it lacks one big important factor. The ball pit! No ball pit... booooo. Yes, they have one inside Little Land, but unless your kid is under 32 inches, they can't play in there, which is also a huge letdown. No other playground has this policy: bigger kids can't play in the little land area. While I understand it is to keep the smaller ones safer and away from the big bad kiddos, I think a more lenient height restriction would suit better. My nephew is 3 years old but over 32 inches because he's a big boy, so he does not qualify.... See the problem? He was eventually given a sticker. Still a hassle. Food prices are amazing! The cheapest I've seen anywhere! Hot dogs for less than 2? Nuggets for 2? Ummm, yes, please. Candy claw machine for a dollar? Um, yeah! Water for a dollar. Yo, amazing! Hope that never changes is a huge saving grace. The layout of the place is really nice, all new and modern. The front, though, needs to have a latch; most indoor playgrounds have a latched door. While it's true you should always keep your eyes on your kids, it is way too easy for one to escape if, God forbid, you take your eyes off for a second. Yes, they have to pass by the front desk, but I don't trust them to stop kids from running to the door. Enforcement is not really followed here. That can be good or bad depending on how you want to look at it. Multiple big kids do end up in little land, and time stamps are not really looked at. We were able to stay an additional 10 minutes; no one told us anything, but we left willingly because I don't do well with anxiety and waiting until someone tells me I've overstayed my welcome. A huge negative is there is no way to increase your stay. We had family members surprise us at the playground almost 20 minutes before our time ended, so we asked if we could extend our time but were denied unless we paid all over again. Yes, there is no way to extend your time. I even asked the manager, but they won't do it due to system issues. So basically told me I would have to pay full price again. So $15 per kid for another hour means I would have paid 30 dollars total per kid x 2 = $60 total for 2 kids. Talk about crazy. That's more than a 2-hour admission is worth. Are they out of their minds? I would never pay 30 bucks to enter this playground. I would for the others, but not here. I asked multiple people before I asked the manager, and you could tell some people made some comments to each other about it. I saw, and you can tell when people make remarks about someone. So minus a star for that horrible experience. I saw that.... Be cautious of staff for sure, although some were cool. Overall, the place was just okay. My kids did like it a bit they rated it a 6 out of 10, and we may return at some time, but I would not put this place high on my list. We have all summer, and we have more indoor playgrounds to check out, and the only thing that will honestly bring us back is the price. If that ever increases, well, there's that. This is just an average playground. It looks super cool because it's new, but in a few months its OMG factor will quickly die down, and it'll be just another basic indoor playground. It still is fun and worth checking out at least once. We'll see when and if we return. read more

Assistant manager was rude to my family please see copy of email send to management" Dear Candeland Management, My name is Inés Fuentes, and I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the treatment my family and I received on Sunday, September 21, 2025, during our visit. We entered the location at approximately 5:45 PM and were scheduled to stay until 6:45 PM. However, after only 15 minutes, we were approached by staff in a manner that was extremely rude and disrespectful. The manager on duty, Seara (spelling may not be exact), the assistant manager insisted that we remove our shoes. We fully understand that shoes are not allowed in certain areas and were willing to comply. However, the way we were spoken to -- being told to "step out" and move away in a harsh and humiliating tone -- was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. This was not only upsetting for us as adults, but it was incredibly traumatizing for my child with a disability. The manner in which we were treated showed a complete lack of sensitivity, compassion, and inclusion. Instead of handling the situation with care, we were made to feel unwelcome and discriminated against. When I requested to speak with the manager, Jared, I was told he was not available, even though I personally saw him present in the store. The assistant manager repeatedly told me to "just send an email," refusing to provide any immediate support. When I pressed further, I was told Jared had "other things to do," which is unacceptable when a customer is experiencing a serious issue. His refusal to face us and address the matter directly was unprofessional and felt like he was deliberately hiding from us. I also asked how I could speak directly with the owner. The assistant manager again told me to "send an email," but provided no further information. I am not even sure that this was accurate, which further shows a lack of transparency and accountability. Additionally, I requested a refund of the $38 we paid since we were only there for a very short time (15 minutes) before being treated this way and asked to leave. My request for a refund was denied without explanation. This experience left me feeling that my family was being singled out, possibly because we are Hispanic and because one member of our group has a disability. This type of treatment is unacceptable in any setting, but especially in a family entertainment establishment. I respectfully request: A full investigation into this incident. A refund of the $38 we paid. A formal apology for the way we were treated, especially toward my child with a disability. I was really disappointed with the cleanliness policy at this indoor playground. Parents and children are required to remove their shoes past a certain area, supposedly for hygiene reasons, yet employees regularly walk through the exact same spaces wearing tennis shoes. If the goal is cleanliness and safety for the kids, the rules should apply consistently to everyone. Another downside is the lack of a ball pit or other age-inclusive attractions. For the price of admission, I expected more variety for children of different ages. The inconsistent shoe policy made the whole experience feel more about enforcing rules on customers than actually maintaining a clean environment. I don't mind following policies when they make sense, but it's frustrating when staff aren't held to the same standards. We have been regular visitors and my grandson always loved coming here. However, our recent visit was incredibly upsetting. An employee told us my grandson was "too big" to be in the toddler area even though he is still a toddler and was allowed to play there just two weeks ago with no issues. The entire interaction was unnecessary and poorly handled, especially since there were other kids of the same height playing in the same area. When I mentioned that my son is on the autism spectrum and that sudden changes can be hard for him, the staff showed no understanding or empathy. The situation caused a scene and led to a meltdown, which could have easily been avoided with a little compassion and consistency. To make things worse, the owner publicly claimed that a review before mine (by Eddie A.) was "fake," instead of taking accountability. It's not fake -- it's on video. Good play area for bigger kids, they had a separate toddler area for the smaller ones too. Food prices are really cheap, menu is on their website. They should add daily passes, not inclined to purchase a $70 monthly per kid, it adds up if you have more than 1 kid, 2 kids cost me $40 for 2 hours of playtime. It was posted no outside food or drinks, which is understandable. But you cannot bring your own water?? I understand sodas and juices but your own water? You have to buy it there which makes me question the logic, are they worried about spillage or they just want to capitalize on nickel and diming the regular person? You cannot wear shoes past the register up in the front, even when you go use their bathrooms, which to me makes me question the cleanliness part of it. If a kid accidentally made a mess in the bathroom and got stepped on by another kid, then that other kid would go and play in the play area thus making the entire play area less than sanitary. They should at least move the shoe cubbies closer to the bathroom so in the event that kids need to go, they are obligated to put their shoes back on then take it off when they go back to play. The employees are also wearing shoes all over the place, it negates the fact of trying to keeping the place clean and sanitary. Maybe owners should offer shoe covers to their employees? i have been to Rockin' kids and the employees NEVER had their shoes on. They had a decent amount of tables and chairs for adults to sit on and wait on their kids. I sat in the back area next to the toddler play place. There was 1 employee who kept going behind me and I have absolutely no clue what he was trying to do, it felt to me he was trying to check to see if I had any outside food that I have set on the table, I did not. Whatever my kids had, we purchased at the snack bar. No one was sitting behind me and the entire back area was a wall, there was no good reason for that guy to keep walking to the wall and then back, it just felt really weird to me. The employee working the snack bar was super nice and the lady that worked the morning shift at the register was also very pleasant. Overall, there's kinks and snags that the owner might want to address. They weren't blasting music which was nice. I was really hoping to love this place--it's adorable and has a lot of potential--but there were several things that made our visit disappointing. We purchased an hour-long pass for our kids but ended up leaving after just 30 minutes. The space is quite small, and unfortunately, it was extremely overcrowded when we went. There were a lot of older kids running around, pushing, and being rough, which made it feel chaotic and unsafe. We had to stay close to our kids the entire time because they kept getting shoved. There didn't seem to be any staff monitoring or managing the play area, which added to the concern. My younger child was playing in the baby section, but my older one--who is tall for his age--wasn't allowed in that area. While I understand and respect the rules, it was frustrating to see other older kids playing there without the required height sticker. This upset my boys, and it felt like the rules weren't being applied fairly. As someone who works in the party industry and visits many play spaces, I've never experienced anything quite like this. I do appreciate that the space was clean and that there wasn't loud music blaring, so I'm giving three stars for that. But unfortunately, we won't be returning. First and last time coming here. At least until they have working AC. It was unbearably hot and humid here, apparently the staff has continued to tell the owner it needs to be fixed and it has yet to be fixed. Would've taken my child elsewhere if I'd known they had not working AC and it's over 100 degrees outside. Don't get me wrong it's a cute place kind of small but that's to be expected when it is located within a shopping mall. Was pretty clean staff was extremely friendly and overall great not their fault it's hot in here. Several people were complaining to staff about it being extremely hot inside. I took my 2.5 year old toddler here to enjoy playtime. We bought the 2 hour ticket for 25$, but they did not allow her to go into the little one's area where the ball pit is. They have this new rule where the kids have to be 34 inch tall and my kid was 35. We had to convince her to go play in the big kid area where it was too crowded and not age appropriate for her. She cried the whole time wanting to go into the ball pit. We also witnessed many other parents going through same thing with their toddlers. We have been to many playgrounds and no other place has such a rule. The bathroom situation is also awful as they don't allow you to wear shoes into the bathroom! The ventilation is so poor leaving everyone sweaty during hot summer months. Also, drops of water leaked from their AC from the ceiling on my 6 months old's head while I was holding her. We booked the place and paid in full. When my guests arrived, they said that they're not allowed to go in until the bill was paid in full. It's a very embarrassing moment since it's been paid in full in the same day we booked it online. I got a call from one of my guests, and when I got there, the employee said that they made a mistake of looking the account. Also, you it looked like they stored some items on the play area. I didn't take a photo but I saw some yelp comments with photo where the boxes were in the play section. The only problem I had with this place was that they didn't really have a door or a gate to make sure little kids don't run out of the area. And the reason why I say this is because two separate families thought that their kids ran out into the main mall because they didn't keep track of who was coming in and out. For example, they need something like what they have at Chuck E. Cheese. Another thing that I didn't like was that you were supposed to take off your shoes right at the entrance and not wear them out throughout the area even if you're not going into the play area so you literally go to the bathroom with no shoes to me that sounds very unhygienic. read more
