I went to the pizza joint for take out. I was very dissatisfied by the buffalo chicken pizza, which was completely missing buffalo sauce or ranch sauce. This was a complete joke. See the picture for this nonsense. Sadly, I found this out when I got home and opened the box. I tipped when I placed my order but if I can change the tip amount, this pizza deserves absolutely zero tip and full replacement. Pepperoni joints were fine. I will never be able to trust this store on quality controls from now on. And if you are getting a to-go order, you should open the box and check what is inside before leaving the store. read more

Hands down one of the best pizza spots in El Paso! I ordered a Meat Lover slice and the Fab 5 slice and both were absolutely incredible. The crust has that perfect crunch with a soft center, the toppings are stacked, and every bite is full of flavor that keeps you wanting more. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza (Liz added pineapples) and some drinks. They have Jarritos and fountain drinks. They also have local beers,...for next time. I love The Pizza Joint. I think it's the freshest, tastiest and best pizza of any I've ever tasted in El Paso. As to the service, I have no complaints whatsoever. Employees have always been respectful, polite and ready to explain varieties of pizzas as well as chicken wings on the menu. The pizza is very good! We ordered a 20" pepperoni pizza and a slice of their Maui Wowee. The single slice was warm, but the whole pizza was hot, right out of the oven. The service is acceptable; not great, but not bad either. Acceptable. Note that they do NOT accept cash, and the restaurant is very small. I have always enjoyed the pizza at the Westwind location. Lately the pizza has been terrible. Today was the last chance I'm giving this place. The pizza was totally burnt and tasteless. Received a refund at least.... Ordered a 20 inch Jeffery Pizza.... They said it would take 15-20 minutes... 30 minutes later they delivered my pizza to the wrong table. We tried to verify if it was my pizza, cause that table had only seated 5 minutes before that. The server disregarded our concerns. So I walked up to the cashier with my table tent, order number 84, and asked for an update to my order. The server asked the person, his co worker, where's order number 84? She said, we just gave it to you. So she marches to the table, patrons already eating the pizza, and she asks did you order a Jeffrey. The patrons answered yes. She respond but not a 20 inch! So these patrons already having hovered over the pizza, one eating a slice, she asks, can I just replace the slice and give you the pizza (currently being eaten). I said, "no, I'd like a refund." They gave me a refund.... But to think they were going to try and serve me a pizza that was already being devoured. My biggest regret, is I didn't ask for my tip back, cause they didn't deserve it. Honestly, I wish they would've offered something that was already ready to eat, cause I didn't have time to wait for another pizza, I had an appointment to get to... So here I stand, hungry still. I walked in, and a homeless gentleman followed me in and they offered him a slice and a drink. Good people man. Good people. I ordered a cheese pie well done. I heard the guy reiterate to the pie guy to make sure it's made well done. Good mozzarella pie. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese ratio and the crust was nice and chewy. Undercarriage was iffy but the taste made up for it. He didn't close the box... veteran move? They have a bunch of different pies and this location is the one to visit if you do decide to eat some pizza joint. I can't smoke but smoke one for me Chief. Great location, good pie. We're 4 old farts traveling cross country in a van. We stopped in El Paso and were happy to find the Pizza Joint. The place was packed with Cosplay fans in costumes. It was difficult to here and no physical menus to help. The staff were extremely helpful and cleared a table just for us. I had a slice of the Jeffrey, we also had Hawaiian and cheese slices. The crust was thin and flavorful, lightly sauced and toppings plentiful. They handled the rush with ease. We enjoyed. I would only suggest a menu down lower where us old farts can get a good look. read more

I have tried several pizza shops in El Paso and they all are different. Not one pizza tastes like another which is good. So you have many to pick from. As for Pizza Joint, it reminded me of large size pizzas I got at home in Philly. So with the similar great taste, they get 5 stars. The pizza is incredible and the slices are HUGE! The restaurant itself has a good feel to it and comfrtable for one person or small groups. The service is great because the workers work with you to suite what you want. Ever since my orientation as a "skinny tire" cyclist by good long-time (50years+!) friend Brooklynite KJ, in which he led me biketouring the boroughs/educating me in the ways of this amazingly skilled subset of cyclists, I've wanted to repeat a specific/strategic survival strategy, namely "eating". As everybody with any brain capacity knows, physical activity requires physical energy, especially elite "skinny tired" cyclists, often identified by their tight spandex clothing clinging to their skinny/no extra weight allowed bodies as they pedal their equally skinny/super strong/LIGHT/racing bicycles; they obey a strict nutrition schedule which is as carefully measured as their clip ons. I had the pleasure/exhaustion of trying to keep up with KJ, and thoroughly enjoyed a few moments off our machines learning the "New Yorker style" of eating/surviving on a single slice of pizza from any of the many small businesses that saturate this densely populated community of~25million. While our "¡Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North Americ, anchored by El Paso, Cd. Juárez y Las Cruces!" is somewhere over a tenth that many people and El Paso is still smaller, the passion for pizza here is just as great. Unfortunately, sales by the slice are slim (pun intended) and one (cycling or not) has to seek it out, such as I did this warm Friday mornin, 10JUN2022. I had just finished a disappointing/exhausting/frustrating lapswim at the excellent Marty Robbins Aquatic Center, and needed nourishment. I knew my target: a single slice, available some 10miles/16kms West on the edge of downtown El Paso at "THE PIZZA JOINT". As I was already partway down the Rio Bravo/Rio Grande escarpment, my route took me West, mostly on the I-10 frontage road and Yandell. At Campbell though, I abruptly altered my direction, turned North for nice one-way traffic ascending the foothills of the Franklin Mountains to Crosby, West to Stanton, then North on an uneasy/poorly designed dual-direction bike lane (the similar Brooklyn Bridge bike lane is better only in that it is wide/better/easier for bicycles to share although worse due to much congestion) along the road's East side. My single pizza slice goal hadn't changed, but I did want a quick visit to the World HQ of Crazy Cat Cyclery, Stanton & Baltimore. My appetite was needing appeasement, and the "coffee waffle" could satisfy it somewhat although it meant I was breaking my 3-week long abstinence of coffee/tea/CAFFEINE! My diet got worse after master mechanic Alex offered me a jelly-filled donut, which I justified eating because "there's healthy fruit buried inside"...! Once slightly satiated, I reversed course, descending Stanton, being careful to stay far from the deadly/capsizing trolley tracks and on the opposite side of the difficult "bike lane", where I assumed my position as a vehicle in the flow of traffic. At Montana, my choice was to go either left or right; I turned right one block to Mesa, then Left four blocks across I-10 to Franklin, a left turn one block to the great/historic Gardner Hotel, which housed THE PIZZA JOINT on the corner. Stacking My eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike along the outside chairs, I entered, looked over a tantalizing selection of pies, and placed my order with Ivonne. I noted with more satisfaction that the food handlers were masked, as was I, because this cursed COVID19 is still killing ~300 people daily in the USA. My primary satisfaction was enjoying a delicious slice of pizza, which I rolled New Yorker style, feeling that KJ would also be pleased that I'd learned well. The next assignmen, now, is for him (and his better half, Dianne) to visit here, learn some Far West Texas habits....! "THE PIZZA JOINT" definitely has my highly coveted "¡Wheel of Approval!" and I highly recommend it for everybody, regardless of your wheels or diet plan. read more

Decent pizza, but it is on the pricier side with a large pizza running you over 30 dollars. However, this rating is coming from the poor customer service I was given. I placed an order over the phone, and came to pick it up, but they denied ever getting an order from me even though I PAID through the phone. Finally, after some back and forth, they said I did pay for a pizza but they had not even started it. Mind you, this was 30 minutes after I had placed the order. They finally put the pizza in just for one of the workers to take it out with the pizza looking like it was barely cooked even though I ordered it well done. It's just so sad and disappointing considering I've ordered here before. Didn't even bother to throw in plates or Parmesan/chili pepper flakes until I asked. Good spot for a thin style large slice pizza! They sell by the slice and have a good lunch special from 11-2. We did all pepperoni half mushroom and was not disappointed. Because it was my first time using the Chow app (I used after I tried several times on their website but whoever wrote the program didn't add the amount for the extra topping did not count towards the $20 minimum). The app was giving me a $5 discount. Which is great. Other than the fact that it brought my order back to being less than $20. WTF. Carry out too if you can't get a table. The food, many local (as in the place has a menu of pies they make) creations, or just choose what you want. Buy it by the slice, or whole pies. The slices are huge. Like i ordered 3... I didn't finish 3. The pizzas are big too. Easy to share with 3-4 people. They serve beer. Soft drink and ice tea available. Again prices are kinda steep.. But it's cute because everything has like "420" kinda names... I was like awwwww .. I remember when smoking weed was cool too! Those were the days. Now days, weed is still fine, just like beer. I tried calling to place a pickup order, and the phone number wasn't working. I figured it walk the 3 blocks to place it in person since the site said they close at 4. When I got there, I mentioned to the employee that their phone number may be down, and he condescendingly told me that it was probably busy. This pizza joint is a smaller sized restaurant. There is a lot of natural light coming in from the windows. The decor is ok. The tables were a bit dirty, and the chairs were thin and flimsy. Some of the music that was playing from an ipod and a speaker was loud and inappropriate. There were children present in the restaurant. As for the food, they had a wide variety of pizzas. I ordered a slice of the "Jeffrey" pizza, a side house salad, and 3 pieces of their "pizza joints". Definitely not impressed. The pizza was basically a pepperoni pizza heated up with vegetables that were sprinkled on top. There was no way for me to eat the pizza with my hands because all of the sprinkled vegetables fell off. Very disappointed!!! The pizza joints, as the name implies, is a pizza rolled up like a joint.
