I've been to a few of the other Speedy's locations in El Paso, and I think this one has the fastest turn around time. Maybe it is the location, or they sent super busy when we come in to order our pizzas. My family typically orders the same thing a large pepperoni pizza, and a large veggie pizza with no cheese. They are always hot and fresh, and the veggies are always perfect. I have never had an issue with the employees, they are usually nice. What I love about Speedy's is that you cannot beat the price! $5 for a pizza and it's not that nasty Little Caesar's stuff. I seriously can't believe I'm not only the first person to EVER review this store's location, but that I single-handedly had to add it to the Yelp map. Ah well...might as well give you all the skinny on the joint, seeing as how it's my first time trying this brand of pizza. For some reason, my kids love this particular pizza chain more than a fat kid loves cheeseburgers. But honestly, the best way I can describe Speedy's Pizza is...just another pizza joint. It's not exactly amazing pizza, but their food is far from terrible either. I'd say it's somewhere in the middle. I DO have to give this place credit for being the first place I've ever been to where I really can't eat their cheese pizza at all for one simple reason: they don't even bother measuring the cheese. Take it from me, guys: if you order cheese pizza from Speedy's, be mindful that you may get a different portion of cheese each time (though most likely excessive). Because of this, I prefer the pepperoni. The only REAL glaringly annoying part about this store are the employees. Honestly, I have to wonder if they even know what they're doing. Not even 15 minutes after placing my order, one of them proceeds to ask me if my order was for a "Jesus"...when I just placed my order under the name "Jay". Really? The place wasn't even that overwhelmingly busy for them to display such a pathetic recollection of short term memory. Most people just call in their orders. This was my first time here, so I was pretty much the only guy there who placed his order in person. How do they confuse this?? Anyway, I like the fact that they not only have an online menu to order from, but they also deliver. And since there is one less than 5 minutes from my house, I'll most likely just send away for deliver next time ('cuz I despise public settings for the most part anyway). My sister has been recommending speedy's pizza for a while now so I decide to give it a try tonight before the movie theater. For $4.99 carry out, I thought why not! We walked in at around 10:30 and quickly realized employees have no customer service skills. The cashier never made eye contact and his only words to us were "under what name?" after we ordered. The place also needs some cleaning maintenance. It took less than 15 min for our pizza to be ready but we were told 9. I'm rating 3 stars because our pizza was really good and it's a great price. We are repeat customers here every Friday and decided to order today (Monday). The pizza tasted off, so I had my mother try her piece. She bit into it and found metal shavings in the pizza. I called and spoke to Liz, the supervisor on duty, about the issue and she told me "I can't just send you a pizza" and "There aren't metal pieces around us in the store". She continued to try to justify why this couldn't have happened. We were willing to settle for a newly made pizza, but her professionalism and customer service was/is absurd. I'd give this place a 5 for the carry out prices. 3.5 for the taste. The wings and pizza are your average pizza joint type of stuff. Pizza is good, subpar even. It didn't have a wow effect. It just fulfills your pizza cravings. The wings were pretty good, they were juicy and fall off the bone. The spicy BBQ wings tasted like they were doused in tapatio, but they were still good! We got the combo #2 which consisted of 1 lrg 1 topping pizza, 1 lrg specialty pizza, 8 wings, and a 2 liter soda all for $20. The cheesey bread was delicious and cheeeeeesey ! I love cheese. This is my first time ordering from Speedy's since moving to El Paso and I'm very disappointed. Being ill, I decided to stay home and order a local pizza which I thought was a normal thing. I placed my order online, at 6:30pm, I patiently waited 1 1/2 hours (8:00pm) and called them. The guy who answered first told me that they couldn't find my order and that there are other Speedy's adjacent to me. He had me doubt myself that I was contacting the right location. I had received my email confirmation and contacted the other locations which couldn't find me in their system (obviously). Then I decided to call back, and I asked him to look me up by my name, and then he found me. He had me on hold for 10 min until someone came on and said they found my order. 2 hours and nobody has looked at my order. I am starting to get the feeling that most restaurants out here don't care about providing service because I have experienced this one too many times in El Paso. Well.. supposedly I will be getting my money back, I did not even ask for it back, but the lady didn't even bother to ask if I still want the pizza sent. I never got my pizza, and i'll be checking my bank account for that credit reversal. It was close to $40 that I spent for "attempting" to order pizza. If I could say 0 stars I would. Just went to pick up some pizza and saw what I think we're the owners passing three puppies around to the employees... I think they are the owners because the were moving behind the counter freely passing around the dogs..... That is so unsanitary... I went on 03/27/2017 to try the pizza for the very first time and I was disappointed with the service. the pizza was ok but the service was bad. I ordered my pizza at 4:06 pm and said it would take about 10 minutes which was ok. I would see people com in and out of the store but never my pizza. it took them 27 minutes to give it to me. Been at many locations in town but this one by far is the only one I dislike ( to sound kind) ! Have to call 3 or 4 times until phone is answered. Was in my car right in front of location and saw associates and what I believe we're friends of theirs, as they were not in uniform ( yet in the kitchen) doing nothing just messing around. Finally when phone was answered, associate seemed so bothered. So here I am thinking they are just kids. But when we entered location to pay and pick up order, associates looked mad we walked in. But yet kept joking and playing with others not in uniform. Each time we have been in this location, associates seemed bothered customers walk in. This location is the absolute worst in time and customer service. There are only young kids that work here and have attitude. I always have to wait an absurd amount of time to get my order. I learned to order (2 pizza's usually) at least 30-40 minutes before I get there to pick up and its still not ready sometimes. Delicious pizza, indeed!!! I highly recommend this place. My wife and I eat at this pizza restaurant between 2-6 times a month. Great tasting pizza without being charged for grated parmesan cheese or red crushed pepper like other local pizza restaurants. The pizza cost is about the same as the competitors in town, but helping a local "mom and pop" shop/restaurant is better than giving business to the greedy corporations. The employees do lack communication, social, and customer skills, but I call in my order every time I get pizza. So, I only associate with the employees when I pay for my pizza at the restaurant.
