Waited almost TWO HOURS in the COLD restaurant and food wasn't even that good. First and last time dining.

So excited for this new spot in Upper Marlboro! We needed this! I got ribs, wings and mac n cheese. The ribs were decent. I give them an 8/10. I wish they were bigger and more meaty. The wings were a winner... 9.5/10. They were supposed to be buffalo but they forgot the sauce, but they were still so good! The perfect smoked wing! I will pass on the mac n cheese... 3/10. I will have to find another side i like. I wish they had collards instead of kale. Definitely a new go to in Upper Marlboro! read more

The wait was a bit long but the bbq was so good. We had the ribs and brisket sandwich. Mac and cheese was well seasoned!

I ordered through DoorDash recover my order but not my two sides. My wife like the ribs and I had the jerk wings which was ok. Once I drove to the location I received horrible customer service I guess due to his mouth being full of food. Finally I get my two sides, my wife WAS NOT a fan of the potato salad and neither was I and as for the beans they were straight out the can. No extra butter sugar or nothing. Pretty Damn Decent! I ordered the ribs, chicken and brisket. Surprisingly enough the side orders were actually good!! And that's rare because BBQ restaurants usually have good bbq and trash side orders or good sides and not so good bbq. Being as though the BBQ and the sides are good I give them a solid 8.5 outta 10!! I recommend this spot read more

The food is excellent BUT they do not answer the phone most of the time, so to order you have to go in. This is terribly inconvenient. The establishment in Virginia is run in an excellent manner. The establishment in Maryland is going to lose money because they simply do not answer the phone to take an order. read more

Sad. Wish I could leave a positive review, but after driving 40-minutes to patronize a new business in our community, I arrived, placed my order. Was told it would be a 40-minute wait....after walking my order to the back the counter service person told me "I'll have to refund you your purchase, they are no longer taking orders". 1hr and 45minutes before 8pm close. Placed an online order that stated my food would be ready in two hours, called and asked if it could be ready sooner and was told no. So, I waited two hours and 15 minutes to be told they needed an additional 25 minutes--we cancelled the order. NOT RECOMMENDED, THEY CANNOT DELIVER! read more

The Brisket was really good. The ribs had a good taste, but not very meaty. The potato salad was good. The sweet potatoes were good. My husband did carry out. So I haven't been to the spot. We will definitely go back for the brisket. read more

This was the first and LAST time I would step foot inside that establishment. THEE absolute worst experience ever. First, I tried calling ahead to order. NOPE. The phone kept going to voicemail after calling an hour straight. Then I tried to order online. NOPE. Online ordering wouldn't load. I thought about ordering via\ DoorDash pick up. NOPE. The price is doubled on DoorDash. I went inside the restaurant on my lunchbreak. After ordering, I was told that the food would take 30 minutes. A bit long in my opinion but I can kill some time in the Amish Market a few doors down. I come back 35 minutes later and food is still not ready. There was a lady inside who told me she ordered her food an hour and 40 minutes ago and her food still wasn't ready. So I inquire how much longer my food would take since my lunchbreak is almost over. The young man at the counter advised that my food would be prepared once they finished the lady ahead of me (The one who has been waiting 1 hour 40 minutes). Unacceptable. I politely asked for a refund. As soon as I asked for the refund, a young man came out and asked if my name was Alexia. I said yes. He then proceeds to rip the receipt off the bag my food was going in and threw it in the trash. No apologies, no explanation for extreme wait time, nothing. I left with no food and a wasted lunch hour. This restaurant clearly may be overwhelmed with orders and understaffed but the wait time for food is truly unacceptable. read more

I went last week after a suggestion from friends. I got the 3 meat combo with sides. The brisket, ribs, and smoked chicken wings were so tender. I wasn't a huge fan of the sides. Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and potato salad was just ok. I will definitely be back for the meats. I will make my own sides. read more

In addition to the tender ribs that fall off the bone, you have delicious side options that brings everything together. The mac and cheese is super cheesy and creamy. This is a new spot so I wanted to give them an opportunity to work out the kinks but it seems like that they are struggling to improve their operations. All of the food from the smoker that I have ordered has been delicious. The sides are just average. The problem here is customer service and communication. Wait times are excessive. Even when you order online or by phone the pick up times quoted are never accurate. The staff members are not friendly and they don't provide any updates regarding your order. read more

Tried going 3 times with no success. 1st time the cashier said we were sold out of ribs, chicken, mac and cheese, greens and pulled pork and this was at 2pm. The second time no ribs were available. Finally today I walked in at 1:55pm and they said it would be an hour wait. I am not sure if this place should be open if they do not have the staff or food available to open to the public. First things first the food is AMAZING! I came with wife and kids and was greeted with great service, with a nice lady at the front who helped us decide our order. We order a full rack of ribs, sliced brisket and sides of mac and cheese, kale and baked beans. The ribs and brisket were juicy and perfectly fell apart. The sides were great additions to the order as they added flavor and filled us up. Hoping they start bringing deserts to the menu soon. Hands down, some of the BEST authentic smoked food I've ever tasted. You can smell the smokey pit through the food box. The macaroni and cheese is so seasoned and the Kale is perfect! I apptrciated th great service, i will be back. read more

Unfortunately, I had the same experience as Travis S. I have been here six times since it opened, and have always had stellar customer service until this past week. The woman behind the counter late afternoon was beyond rude and unprofessional. I love the food, but this was the first time I almost walked out (but I paid online already). Please, please don't let this employee (or relative??) ruin the goodwill of this fine establishment. I am now hesitant to recommend the Pit Stop, but hopefully, this was a one time fail. read more
