Great friendly server. We went for the special tenderloin sandwich. It was served quickly and hot. But it really was lacking in the amount of onions and pickles if it wants to carry on the Jonesy's name. read more

This place is great for atmosphere and food. I'd like to see them stay in business so I will say they absolutely need to work on their service. It's really terrible. We've been there on a number of occasions hoping for improvement but it's terrible and never very busy so no reason to wait on drinks or service. I won't go back. read more

Let's start with the food. Mediocre at best, there isn't anything that has a "wow" factor. I am happy to see that they now are offering cheesecake from a reputable company, so that would be a good choice to try. Atmosphere....dingy in the down below seating. Do not sit behind the stage, dusty, dirty and might be the possibility of a bug or 2 visiting you. Owner and manager, this is where this place really goes off the rails. They employ majority teenagers which is amazing. However, their whole attitude on teens is that they are lazy, dumb and worthless. The girls I have seen in there have been GREAT but have not lasted long as they get treated like 30 yr olds that have been in the workforce for years. Teens need guidance, not a narcissistic bully calling them names. The employees are given tools, apps, to use to take time off etc but the owner and manager do not monitor it and then "reprimand" the employee by not scheduling them. If this is the environment you want to support, by all means this is the place for you. If not, there are plenty of good quality restaurants that are not over priced, meh food. read more

I would rather spend my time elsewhere. We sat in the lower booth area and it stunk like the carpets were not clean. Very must smelling. There was also a corner stuffed with extra stuff like an open storage area. I ordered a burger and it was literally a concession stand burger, tasteless and very high fat content, I got tots and they were not fully cooked and unseasoned. The service was fine, not great saw the waitress maybe 4 times total and it was not busy. Probably won't be back, it feels like a lifeless and soulless restaurant trying to increase their bottom line. read more

If you are looking for an over-priced, sub-par meal; this is your place to go! First, the pizza sauce tastes AWFUL! It's a mix of stale garlic and expired tomato paste; however, this is the best thing on the menu. Secondly, of the three appetizers our table shared, two were completely burnt and the parmesan bites were like biting into raw dough. Thirdly, unbeknownst to me, the chicken was either undercooked or spoiled and I nearly died after eating the chicken ceasar salad. Finally, (and this is in fact the final straw) the way the OWNERS (Jeff and Deanna) engaged with and spoke to the staff was DIABOLICAL! I was outraged and beside myself. It took everything in my soul not to approach the matters unfolding in front of me! Completely unprofessional! The servers were above and beyond amazing and should NEVER be spoken to or treated poorly in such an intolerable work environment. I have never written a bad review in my life; but this.... something had to be said. Dine at your own risk! read more

Overall great experience. Great staff and great food. Come here often and I am surprised by these reviews. At the same time understand that only people with something bad to say tend to review. That said, I will continue being a regular here. read more

$16 for a "healthy serving of cod". That would be 2 three inch pieces of over cooked fish with very little cod inside the almost black breading. The near empty lot on a Sunday afternoon should've been my first clue that that place was lousy. The carpets were worn and dirty. The booths were old and worn. Don't come here unless you enjoy over priced frozen food that just gets put in a fryer. read more

The service was as good as it could possibly be since our server was also tending the bar. The bar was full. The restaurant was not. We were a 12 top. Everyone one at our table who ordered anything with chicken found it to be dry and cold. My drink was watered down. Two at our table ordered the Chicken Pita club. Their chicken was dry and cold, and the pita was burnt. Our server was very sweet and did her best. Would steer clear if this place. The owner is arrogant and unlikely to accept criticism humbly. read more

Came here for drinks for a friends birthday. Service was extremely poor. There were two waitresses for the entire establishment and they were not trained well. I was here for an hour and a half and only able to order two beers. The management needs to do a better job training staff and making sure there's a enough staff for the clientele. Pretty disappointed with new management. read more

Going down hill! Used to come here a couple times per year. Really disappointed. Service was mediocre at best on a very slooow day. Needed to constantly follow up on ordered items forgotten. Several in our group were disappointed about the food quality too. Not coming back. read more

Jeff and staff have worked hard to improve the food and experience over the past year. Great food and significantly improved service make for a fun and relaxed environment. If you haven't been in awhile, give them another try. Great neighborhood pub. read more

I really wanted to say something good about this place. Looks like they have a nice outside patio. Thay also have a better selection of NA beers for those who need them. However, we will not return. Service staff was obviously untrained. Really knew very little about the menu. Response to every need was either slow or non existant. We had to receive utensils from a neighboring table, as food was brought with none. We were not asked if we wanted a second beverage, and it took over 20 minutes to get glasses of water even though it was the first request when we arrived at the table. Food was clearly just warmed up off the back of the delivery truck, with the exception of the pizza which appeared to have a custom made crust, but was mostly tasteless. Wings were greatly over salted. BBQ beef sandwich looked like something warmed up out of a can, or left over from a school lunch. If you've ever seen Restaurant Impossible, this place is definitely a candidate. read more

Waitress was very nice. Empty on a Sunday afternoon. Weird vibe. French fries were very good, but a patty melt isn't a pound of beef... no sauce.... Too hard to eat. No knives to cut the sandwich up... not great read more

Everything was bad. Service bad. Food bad. Waited an hour for the worst cold wings I've ever had. We ordered two things of wings and we missed 4 in one and 2 in another. Everyone there was staring at us for zero reason. Never go here. Definitely do not recommend. Plus there was a hair in one of the wings. read more

I tried the Parmesan garlic wings , this may have been the saltiest thing I have ever consumed since I have been alive , not only is my mouth burning with my dead taste bud cells from the citric acidy substance I ate. I don't think I recommend the Parmesan garlic wing. But I like the service. read more

The Pines Pizza and Pub - a truck driving down the road at night - Pizza Near Me - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Great service and delicious dinner. I had a garden salad, cheese curds, taco pizza, and a pale ale. The greens were very fresh, the cheese curds hot and crispy, good flavors on the taco pizza, and the beer was spot on for temperature and freshness. I'll be back. read more

Wow. I consider myself a regular. Stop by at least once a week for a beer after work and/or to pick up a pizza.Tonite, I got my bill and reminded the bartender I made the end of happy hour, and could she please correct the bill. She gave me the stink eye. I knew I made happy hour last call because the folks sitting behind me ( who ordered after me ) were informed by a different server they caught happy hour by two minutes. No apology, just attitude. " Your bill only dropped $4.50 ", she smugly told me. I paid w a $50 bill because that's all I had. She gave me my change in $5.00 bills. Very snotty. Young blond lady. Hadn't seen her before. Don't want to see her again, either. Dave , 7-10-23 read more

I didn't know this place was no longer Vito's when I stopped in. I found it odd that there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Anyway, I was seated at a booth and ordered a dirty gin martini. When they brought it, it was obvious that the bartender didn't know what that was. The martini had sort of a reddish tint to it. I couldn't even describe what the taste was. I explained to the waiter how they are made and the second try was a little better. After looking over the menu, I ordered the pork tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin looked partially cooked and was lukewarm at best. I couldn't even eat much of it. Needless to say, I haven't been back and no intention of doing so. read more

Save yourself the money. The food is probably the worst we have ever had in a very long time. We were hoping this place was going to be a hit since its very close to home, but instead everyone agreed that we were never coming back. The server was new but he did his best and was very courteous with us. Truly not his fault the menu is extremely bad quality. Really wished we could have read the reviews before we spent out money. To give you an example the mac and cheese in the kids menu is box mac and cheese and the pizza appears to be frozen crust. This place needs to close. read more

Really great tenderloins! The beer was cold & the wait staff was excellent.

not sure if the girl was new... but she sucked. we sat on the patio, wed april 12th. First beautiful day and we wanted to enjoy the weather.. didn't check on us very often. She was horrible and blamed her lack of service on the bar being behind... we watched 2 tables get up and leave because she just wasn't doing her job correctly. very disappointing, it was a nice day and we would like to have eaten but it took a friend at our table 25 min to get a draft beer.. so we had a round and left. she apologized when she brought our checks. ... probably won't be back.. so maybe staff better on nice days?!?? Or train your staff better?!???! read more

Amazing service and delicious food! We held a retirement party at the new Flano's on 42nd last night. Our waiter, Nick, did a fantastic job throughout the party making sure everyone had enough food and enough to drink. Jeff helped me with reserving the loft and was so helpful throughout the whole process. It could not have been a better place to party! read more

Stopped for the first time in 6 months for happy hour. Unfortunately, service is still horrible. I ordered 2 beers; each took over 20 minutes to be served.... Wish I could say they were extremely busy but no. The bartender has one speed, slow. read more

Two for one happy hour, service was great! We ordered the supreme pizza, nice touch with sauerkraut on it. Toppings and cheese were generous, menu had lots of options- can't wait to go back and try something different. read more

Great atmosphere and beautiful interior. Was happy hour when we arrived and fairly busy. The lady tending bar was also waiting tables when we arrived but more staff showed up to help. She was busy but very attentive. Beer was cold and priced for happy hour . Food was tasty. Owner? Manager? stopped by the table to clear basket and chat. Nice guy. Really enjoyed the visit. They have a great looking patio. Looking forward to going back. read more
