It was my first time visiting Oahu and was interested in seeing the island. I came across an advert in a tourism magazine and decided to book this tour online which was super easy. The afternoon before the tour, they contacted us to give us an idea of what to expect in the morning and who our tour guide would be the following day. We were super lucky because we got paired with one of the greatest tour guides for ever, Trey! He was kind, extremely knowledgeable, funny, abundantly patient with our diverse group, and taught us a wealth of information about the history, sights, and culture of Hawaii. The tour features spots such as the Green World Coffee and Macadamia Nut farms, Dole Plantation, Turtle Bay Beach (with the coolest option ever to snorkel!). We saw Jurassic Valley, the North Shore, Chinaman's Hat, and so much more. I highly recommend this tour for first time visitors, adventure buffs, and those who appreciate a little bit of everything. The tour is an intimate size and Trey does a great job bringing the group together to create a Ohana for the day. Felt very rushed didn't have enough time for all the stops were made. Would've been better to make less stops and be able to spend more time at the stops. The pineapple plantation we barely had time to pick up ice cream and souvenirs. We had only 50 minutes to shop. There's no way you could do. Awesome tour! Trey was the best! He is very knowledgeable and entertaining, kept us tuned in the whole time. He did not go off a script but shared all his knowledge instead which made it more interesting and tailored his stories to the group. He also added a stop at a coffee farm which everyone appreciated. While we were on a schedule he was not strict about it and made sure we enjoyed each and every stop. I saw other tours where it seemed like they were being rushed. Exceptional experience all around! Highly recommend! We chose this activity as our first day outing on the island to help us get a "lay of the land" and help inform our choices for the rest of our stay on Oahu. Our guide was Hawai'i Ryan and he regaled our bus with a lot of great stories, history and anecdotes. Very friendly and conversational and skilled at including everyone on the bus of all ages. He kept our group on time at each stop and we were able to make a couple of decisions about where to stop headed on the group's interests and information Ryan had from other operators. The shuttle bus is on the smaller side and some seats are in the middle. But this tour is less about the drive and more about the stops you take along the way so there were no complaints from our group. Bottled water on board and complimentary pineapple a very nice touch. We also really appreciated the very nice condition of the snorkeling gear that was provided to us. Note there are a handful of scheduled stops for bathrooms throughout the day. The Oahu Circle Tour was enjoyable, as well as our bus driver, Trey. One pain point was the fact that the North Shore (Turtle Bay Resort) stop for snorkeling was not the best place to view turtles, as well as the fact that the weather was overcast and drizzling. This particular stop could've been shortened, if the bus driver would've taken a poll of the passengers to see if they actually were going swimming. I don't think anyone did, and there wasn't much to do at the resort except wander around and kill time. We could've spent that time at the other remaining stops. It would've been nice to have more time at the Dole Plantation and less time at the Macadamia Nut Store. It was very nice with the smaller group. read more

Our first time in Hawaii & we happened upon this treasure! Absolute blessing to have Ryan & Amy. Very kind, professional, prompt & witty folks! Definitely worth the 7am wake-up call. They took us on a circle tour all around Oahu & got to see all the classic sights. There was even a lunch & snorkel excursion afterwards, where I was lucky enough to encounter sea turtles! Ended up with a last stop @ the Dole Whip factory. Plus, Ryan gets bonus points for the tour's original soundtrack. (Jurassic Park + Hall & Oates!) The one downside to the tour is the (inevitable) rush-hour traffic at the end, but at least you'll have beautiful Honolulu to see out of the windows. read more

Tyrone was very knowledgeable and courteous to all the passengers needs. The 8 hour circle tour was well worth the price, but was a little difficult to enjoy in transportation when other passengers were upset because of seating arrangements. This tour was well organized. In fact, we got to enjoy lots of time at the beach and saw tons of great little places of Hawaii we'd never seen. I'd recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a better understanding of Hawaii and it's culture. My only complaints with this tour would be with Covid. There are some concerns with seating arrangements especially in a smaller van like the one we had, but also, my understanding was that we had a free dole ice cream? Nevertheless, it was all made up for with Tyrone's generosity by providing us free macadamia nuts and a whole pineapple! read more

This was an amazing experience. Everyone in the family loved it. We were worried about the kids being able to last the whole day with out getting grumpy or angry. Thankfully this tour was amazing and kept them entertained and engaged. I absolutely loved every moment and so did the kids. Tyrone was amazing and really knows the island. We stopped so many places! Also between places he gave us a ton of information about the island from the best places to get food to the best beaches to surf, snorkel, see turtles etc. He pointed out so much information over the tour if I put it all here my review would be pages long! I would def do this at the beginning of your stay so you know where to go the rest of the time you are on the island! If you are in between this company and another I 100% say pick this one. We felt like we traveled the whole Oahu in such a short amount of time without it feeling like it was rushed. The whole tour with Tyrone was super insightful, fun & most of all full of laughter. My family & I really got along with Tyrone. It felt like we've been knowing each other for a while so it made it even better. We felt so comfortable & cared for. As for the tour itself my personal favorite was definitely the Byodo Temple. I do wish the time was cut 50/50 on the location before going to Dole (which was where the Matsumoto shave ice shopping plaza) & Dole since we had 20mins at the shopping plaza w/way more to check out vs. 40mins at Dole's gift shop. Also we had a couple in our group that went on the train at Dole which they weren't supposed to, so the rest of us waited for them for almost an hour. I thought it was so inconsiderate of them but I've learned the hard way that not everyone thinks the same way. So....I think I can speak for other guests that Pineapple EXP should feel empowered to say so from the very beginning. Maybe the couple didn't know it would take them that long, I don't know but there should be rules to go over from the get-go 'cause not everyone is as nice & considerate as the locals =) read more
