Pickleball waiver that doesn't seem to have any big info saying that they will charge your card and renew your membership

They charged our card 700$ and tricked my husband into renewing his membership with a waiver that is not clear. Refused to reimburse and refused to take our cards off file to avoid later charges. Not worth the 1700$ we spent on the membership in the first place- hardly ever open courts to reserve as they are constantly booked out for parties.

Membership fees - seems worth it to me!

Wow - The Pickleball Space is exactly what we need in Arizona in the summer. I attended Freedom Frenzy tournament held here in July and what an amazing setup they have! They have 10 very well maintained courts, a seating area, snack bar, and clean bathrooms. There's lots of seating for spectators too. The AC was great, especially for a tournament in July. The pictures speak for themselves - give it a shot for sure!

I brought this up to the man at the front desk and he asked me "Do you have a lawyer?" instead of doing anything to correct the mistaken fees each time they swipe my card. Horribly unprofessional behavior. They also don't accept cash, meaning there is no way to pay them for any services without them charging you a "convenience fee", even if you pay with a debit card. When I have called in to ask for a manager to process my refund, I am only given the runaround and told they aren't available. I cannot get a hold of anyone in management there - Tim (CEO) is unreachable. They still haven't processed my refund in several months. If you value your money and honest business practices, steer clear of CenterCourt. Pickleball Space is right across the street and they run their business ethically.

My son played in Men's Doubles 4.0 on Saturday and Mixed Doubles 4.0 on Sunday and did quite well, so that made the 15ish hours spent there worth it! The facility is clean and spacious with 16 indoor courts, some private rooms, a weight room, a retail area, some light snacks, water refill stations, etc... The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking. It's a bit of a drive for us but if it were closer, we'd definitely play here more often!

I want to express that I feel these 1-star reviews are not fair and misinformed, and this is coming…read morefrom someone who has been coming to these classes for over a year and only had a wonderful experience, learned to box and gotten into better shape than I thought imaginable in my 30s (when I started I was overweight, out of shape and had no balance. If you stick with it, you will see fast improvement). First of all, this place is not a "scam." You come here, take a trial class, and if you decide you want to sign up, there are three payment plan options for *unlimited* classes and gym access. You can do monthly, 6 month term, or 12 month term. If you sign up for a longer term, there is a price deduction, but that comes with the caveat of not being able to cancel your membership until said term is over. They tell you that from the get go. If you do get into a tough financial spot during your term, you can put a "freeze" on your account for up to 4 months out of the calendar year and not get billed for said period. You just have to inform your home gym and sign the paperwork to do so. (Being a member gives you access to all locations in the valley, your home gym is where you signed up) To cancel a monthly membership, you let them know with a 30 day written notice that you are cancelling. This has been the same with all gyms I've been a member at. So if your bill is on the 30th, and you cancel on the 15th, you will still be billed on the 30th and then have full access until the following 30th when your contract ends. This is why it's recommended that you do "monthly" if you are not sure if you want to stick with it, and cancel a few days prior to your billing date if that's what you decide you want to do. Someone of any shape/size can join and find success. The classes are challenging and will push you, but the coaches will not single you out if you need to take a break or stop. They are all very encouraging. Some people come just for the cardio/weight loss, others come to learn the technique. Each coach has their own style and specialty, and you learn over time what to expect. They have classes specifically for young children, as well as private training and advanced classes for people who are serious about technique improvement and want to learn to spar. There is nothing ambiguous about the contracts here. The coaches are extremely positive and the administrators are always happy to help. I think some people make their membership decision when their adrenaline is pumping and then act surprised when they can't cancel out of the blue due to some personal conflict or move without informing anyone and then expect to be able to cancel over the phone (you have to sign cancellation forms at your home gym). Or simply don't have the discipline to come back after locking into a price reduced term. That's not a reflection of the gym itself and the hard work they do here to make it the best experience for everybody. I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to push yourself, get in great shape and learn a martial art.

As noted in other reviews, the sign up is a trap. Rather than going through the whole story, I'll…read morejust bullet point it. Bottom line, DO NOT sign up with this gym. - Signed up, attended for a few weeks - Life happens, had to move out of state - Called the gym while out of state, asked them to cancel. They kept pushing me to come into the gym as it's the ONLY way they will cancel - After a lot of arguing and reiterating multiple times that I was NOT IN THE STATE and could not come in, they agreed to cancel - Fast forward 3 months; I see a charge for the membership hit my account - I call, tell them this is wrong and I canceled months ago. They say they have no recollection of that, I owe them $500 in back fees - I again explain everything that happened, they don't care and not only forcefully push the $500 but refuse to cancel the membership unless I go to the gym - I research AZ laws around this since it's clearly not legal, sure enough the state laws clearly outline they have to accept the cancellation request with me not living in the state anymore - I call back and tell Quinn this, he says he doesn't care he is abiding by the gyms rules - I explain I am going to report them to the BBB, file a complaint with the states attorney general. Quinn says "BBB, Better Business Bureau? Ok bring it on we're ready" - Eventually, he said if I sent my lease agreement for the new place in a different state, he would cancel it - Sent the agreement - He said there is a $50 relocation fee before cancelling - Rather than drag it out, I gave up and paid the $50. Still not sure he even cancelled it, I guess we will see next month There are plenty of great gyms in the valley, do not support this dishonest business, especially if Quinn is handling your membership
