I was very worried about my dog but he would send me pictures and updates about his health so I can enjoy my vacation. When I got back from my vacation I couldn't put his drops in by myself and Pat continued to come by and help me out with a Cosmo. Truly going above and beyond has call of duty. Last night Cosmo was attacked by another dog in his face and was bleeding profusely I called Pat and he drove me to an animal hospital. Once again going above and beyond the call of duty. Five-star details: 1. Outstanding Communications. Melissa is always available, including by phone, text, and email. She does what she says she is going to do. We've spoken on the phone & Melissa has a great app which gives you updates and photos of your pet! 2. Genuine Caring. On our most recent trip, the weather got cold. Melissa's team members worked with us to turn on our well heater, ensure our pup was kept warm and cozy, and gave us detailed updates and photos. 3. Going Above & Beyond. Melissa called me about the cold weather to alert us in case we didn't know it was going to be below freezing and to ensure our pet was fully taken care of. Her team actually plays with your pet, spends real quality time, and ensures your pet feels loved. They brought our dog extra treats which was incredibly thoughtful because our dog is a senior citizen - and they actually know about dogs so they brought treats that are great for his health as well as being yummy!

The sitters send us an update and photos each day they visit and generally make sure our house is okay while we are away (i.e., take our garbage cans if we ask, bring in packages, etc.). We have full confidence that our cat (and our house) are in good hands while we are away. As a bonus, our cat LOVES all of the sitters ;)

The first time I gave them a pass and because the owner first hand handled getting my dog to an emergency vet to get staples - I gave them a second chance. Now the same dog has come back from boarding needing stitches above his eye with ZERO explanation or acknowledgement from any of the staff. The staff is not trained and should not be handling peoples pets. My beautiful husky now has a permanent scar above his eye and the staff had no idea how it happened and never got him treatment so I had to take him to my vet and pay to get him stitched. I'm appalled at the lack of care these kids are giving the dogs in their care.

My dog is really sweet, but had some behavioral challenges when we were starting out. Taurus does a free initial visit where they give you a detailed report on how your dog does with a variety of other dogs. I HIGHLY recommend you do this just for the intel, even if you aren't looking for a dog boarding service. A Taurus employee walked me through everything that my dog did well, and also where he needed some help. They're also really flexible, which I really appreciate. When my work day starts getting crazy, I can run my dog up there with no notice, which is a huge help. He gets a lot of social time in and dropoff/pickup is a breeze, even with the COVID restrictions.
