My husband decided to start doing our pest control during Covid to prevent people from coming into our home to treat the home. Luckily we don't have too many issues indoors, but the pest control company we used charged the same rate no matter if they were treating inside or not. We decided it was not worth paying for quarterly services for inside and out only to have someone treat the exterior. When we first called the store we were warmly greeted by a guy named Mike. My husband told him that we were looking to treat our home and how we were having problems with ants in the yard, mosquitos in the bushes, and random bugs here and there. He told my husband about various products that would take care of our problem and advised us to come in. We visited the location the next day and he took time to explain all of the things my husband would need and what he would need to do. We bought the recommended products and my husband has been faithfully following the plan given to him. It has been 2 years and we couldn't be happier with the results. We don't have to worry about our boys getting bit by ants while playing in the yard. We find the material my husband purchased from this place actually does a more effective job than the ones used by the professional pest control company. I don't have to keep calling someone out to continually treat my home all while dealing with the same issues over and over again which is a lot less stressful for me. Highly recommend! I called to have a wasps nest removed. The people at the Pest Shop were friendly and knowledgable and suggested I come by the shop to buy a product which would freeze the wasps. Because I am highly allergic to wasps I preferred to pay for a service call, and I'm glad I did! Mike took the time to explain how to safely and simply use the products. Then Dane came out to my home to inspect it and added his practical advice from a field perspective. Had an issue with army worms a few months ago and called the Pest Shop after calling a few pest/insect control companies. The staff at the Pest Shop told us exactly what we needed to do and how to do it. The products they sold us were a little less than what it would cost for someone else to come do it once, but we have enough to take care of any issues that occur in the future. The staff is VERY knowledgeable in pest elimination. After a pest control company was unable or unwilling to solve the roach problem the Pest Shop's advice and materials did the trick. For far less than the ineffective pest control service charged the treatment recommended by The Pest Shop was effective and I haven't seen any bugs.
