The ONLY reason this didn't get 5 stars is because they will not allow take-out orders between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on weekends. (And they will tell you it says that on the website if you visit, but it does not.) Otherwise, I really enjoy this place. I've been frequenting The Perk my entire life - as have my parents. The food is amazing! The only negative is the brisket was dry. Other than that, the pierogi appetizer and the siracha honey chicken appetizers were amazing. French onion soup was okay. The kids fried shrimp got two thumbs up from my son. The coconut shrimp was also good with an interesting sauce. The wait on Saturday at 5:15pm was to be 20-25 minutes for three people but we probably waited 10. It's a bit noisy with a lively crowd but nothing insane. We will definitely be back!! read more

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch at high noon. We'd been warned that the dinner hour was hectic and had lines out the door, but lunch was just getting started so no waiting. There is ample, cheerful staff and nice space between the tables to maneuver. It's clean, and cozy. Thanks to the owner for helping us to a parking spot. And thanks to our server, Amber, for her recommendation of the chicken onion soup Au jus. It was incredible - a juicy chicken breast with cooked sweet onions and cheese on a potato roll with a crock of onion soup to dip it in. There is also a nice selection of craft beer. My wife and I were at Grand View Hospital for the week with our newborn and The Perk was more than we could ever hoped for. Amazing service; even with a Boy Scout fundraiser on a Monday night they had us out in an hour. The menu has everything and does everything well. They have perfected the french fry crispness --- not sure how they control it so consistently but we tried most of the fry variations without issue. The burgers are huge and their bun supplier is excellent. Great sauces and aioli on burgers and chicken sandwiches. The Salads are huge, fresh and creative; Raspberry salad dressing had two delicious sauces in a vinaigrette and a thick sweet "Boysenberry". We can't wait to come back and try the classic cocktail menu with all of our favorites; Stingers, Negronis , Mules and Sidecars ! read more

Hands down the best restaurant in town. I have been coming here since a young girl. Everything on the menu is delicious! Crab Cakes have lots of crab. Burgers have lots of meat and toppings. All of the appetizers are great. Their Bourbon BBQ sauce is to die for on their chicken sandwiches or burgers. Soups are always fresh and different each day. On an extremely busy Saturday night, we were told the wait would be 35 minutes, well it was actually 55 minutes, bad start. After we were seated things got better as we were promptly served our drinks. Our appetizer of fried mozzarella was also served quickly and it was tasty. I had the 1/2 rack of baby back and although the BBQ sauce was really delicious, the ribs were a tad dry. My wife had the Turkey Rachel sandwich and she remarked that it was ok, nothing special. Other members of our family had crab cake dinner which she enjoyed and coconut shrimp which was praised. The service was outstanding. The Perk is a wonderful place to eat with family where you can enjoy the history of the town. I frequently dine in here, however, like most places in a COVID world, they cannot handle high volumes of people. The wait times can be over an hour easily at any given time of day. The main reason for my poor review of this restaurant is their lack of attention or care to their takeout option. I have not once had an even remotely pleasant experience ordering take-out, in fact, I am confused on why they offer the option when most days they do not accept orders due to high volume in the restaurant. I understand the struggle of low staffing due to the world that we are living in, but they should not offer a take-out option if they are not going to properly carry-it-out. We called to order dinner and were told it would be about an "hour to an hour and a half". They asked for our phone number and said they would text us when our food is ready. We waited and waited and never received a text. Finally after nearly an hour and a half we headed over, keeping in mind their high volume. We got there and our food sat cracked open and soggy. Nobody had paid any attention to our order and reacted almost surprised when we came to pick it up. We warned them that they should not accept take-out orders and/or promise a text when they are ready, if they are too busy to do so at the time. We drove all the way home to find a whole meal was missing from our order. We were incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed with the service we received. This was lack of care, service, and common decency. So we were left with half of our order and the rest soggy. We drove back and returned our food expecting it all to be remade and our missing meal to be added. We cautioned employees that they should pay more attention to drive-up orders and they replied with kindness. They offered us a drink on the Perk and remade our food. Acknowledging their mistake. I write this review because of the many times I have personally received bad service when ordering take-out. The Perk's dine-in service is amazing, but do not expect the same when ordering to take home. This was overall a frustrating experience turned well due to the kind staff. I would caution this restaurant in the future to work on their take-out service or simply do not provide it at all. This will turn customers away from their buisness as it almost did mine. After leaving and going home, we opened our box to the incorrect order, having bacon on sandwiches we specially requested not to have bacon on. Do better Perk. Your kind staff is quite literally the only thing saving your less than adequate take-out system. read more

We haven't had a bad meal here yet- the loaded pierogies are phenomenal, as is pretty much anything with their honey sirracha sauce. It can get a little busy, and they do not offer call-ahead seating which can mean a longer wait- but the bar always has some space so you can grab a drink while you wait. read more

I was recently treated to an amazing panko-breaded chicken sandwich smothered in a delicious honey sriracha sauce and topped with warm gorgonzola. Sounds amazing, right? It was quite simply one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. And like all meals at the Perk, the serving was huge and perfectly prepared, brought out hot and crispy with a side of tasty natural cut fries. You'd pay 2-3$ more for a run-of-the-mill chicken sandwich and potato chips at most other places. At the Perk, you always have leftovers. Seriously, they load you up! My waitress was extremely pleasant, very attentive and always accommodating. For these reasons and countless others, I will be happily returning to the Perk very soon! read more

I have been going here for about 5 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. Service is excellent along with the food. Large menu, but never had anything I did not totally enjoy. Atmosphere is great also with local old pictures of old buildings. If you get there at 5-6, expect to wait. Many times that means waiting outside or their small waiting area that gets very crowded. We go early or do not go at all. They make your entire party get there until you are seated which causes huge lines. They also just added new bathrooms which is excellent because the only bathrooms were in the crowded bar area or the crowded lobby and they were both small. This is a major improvement. read more

A great family spot built on the ground floor if the old South Perk Hotel in Perkasie. The menu has a great variety of burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. The Perk also has some great bands play after 9 PM and Djs on the weekends. Lastly, their daily specials are a great deal. The Perk was just about as good as a local tavern restaurant can get. The onion soup was very good . Most onions soups can tend to be a bit on the salty side but this was just about perfect. Claire, our waitress was attentive but not overly so. Thanks, Claire! The wife had the prime rib and was very pleased I had the mushroom cheesesteak. I also was pleased. A good list of microbrews. I had a local IPA. Tasty. Prices are very good. Food was very good. Service was outstanding. I can't find anything but good to say about the place! Love this place! You will almost always see someone there you know. I used to be there every Friday night for date night with the wife until our baby was born. Now we mostly do take out. Great food & great staff especially Nicki, Diane, Natalie & Jen! The have a very good beer selection with a bunch of micro brews including some from Freewill Brewing Company also located in Perkasie. A couple of friends and I went here after a very exciting skydiving session. After walking in I noticed that at least for lunch this place caters to more of an older crowd. The menu is long and exhaustive, and I am not sure how all the items are. We ordered ribs, burgers and wings. Everything was really good. Definitely a good place to grab a good quick meal. read more
