Nice little place where people are definitely locals. The bartender was sweet and attentive. The restaurant got super packed even though it was a weeknight so I figured the food must be good! After a drink, we each ordered. Him a grilled chicken sandwich which is apparently the best he's ever had. I had the crab cake sandwich which was good but not the best I've eaten. The Perk is a reliable mid to upper level pub. The pub style food is great, and they always have specials to tempt the regulars who might get bored with the standard fare ( difficult to imagine as the menu is quite expansive). It can get very, very loud at certain times, and parking is wherever you can find it in the surrounding area. Still, it is a fun and lively place with amazing service. read more

In Perkasie, PA. Here is a very casual local restaurant that serves the basics (cheesesteaks, burgers, salads, etc). The food is very good (try the raspberry chicken salad, my fave) and the service is great. The place is much larger inside than I had expected. They have a bar and live bands (on the weekends). Parking is limited, with some parking on the neighborhood street (so please don't block the driveways). I was with people from the Buffalo, NY area and they actually thought the chicken wings were better than most, for the area. The place was very kid friendly. I also understand they have takeout. Just wanted to update my review-- Went here with my mom just a few weeks ago and the food was from what I remembered. The french onion soup is my mom's and I favorite. Superb like normal! There were only a few complaints overall. I got the baby back ribs and there was A LOT of barbecue sauce slapped on. I'm not sure if most people like a crap ton of barbecue sauce on their ribs, but I'm not one of them. No big deal though, just have to scrape it off. Also, about a third of my french fries were all burnt, guess I got a bad batch because my mom's french fries looked fine. Lastly, we ordered chocolate cake (do not remember the exact name) and it was very good, but again, they put way too much chocolate sauce over the cake and I could barely taste it. It tasted equivalent to having a spoonful of Hershey's chocolate syrup. Once you scrap that all off, like I said, was very moist and delicious! The waitresses are always friendly and always have a smile on their face! Love it!! Just a fair warning, on Friday and Saturday nights the parking is terrible! Have to park all the way down the next block! I would recommend trying to beat the dinner rush!! read more

This used to be our favorite restaurant. The best roast beef sandwich anywhere. The prime rib was to die for! I'm not sure what happened, but I for one refuse to wait over an hour at any restaurant. We haven't been here in a while, and thought we would try again, it looked promising with all the new renovations. We arrived about 6:45 on a Sunday evening and were told 40 minute wait. That actually turned into 90 minutes. We should have left, but stuck it out. We were seated and told that not only did they not have prime rib, but that they were sold out of most of their specials and they also had no long rolls left to be had. I could not believe that we actually stayed after this. You could hear all the servers apologising for not having menu items, including certain types of wine. This really is NO way to run a business. Come on Larry, lets step it up, will ya? Well, I can only say that my sandwich really wasn't up to par without a roll, and my husband said his ribs were kinda dry. Everything was an upcharge too. Onion rings instead of fries, fries instead of chips.....Needless to say, it might be quite a while before we come back again. One star only because the beer was cold. Let me add, we have been customers for close to 30 years! Haweyes looks pretty good to me. SORRY, NOT SORRY! read more

Great meal and terrific service. I was so glad I saw all the great Yelp reviews. Based on them I drove the extra distance from where I was. If you are anywhere close give them a shot. Was alone with the wife but very family friendly spot so I can't wait to bring the whole family. I had a burger and the wife had meatloaf, both were great and everything we saw on the other tables looked as good. Went to the perk Saturday night with my family. The place was so noisy that you had to yell to talk to each other. Also I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich it was terrible, it tasted like a boiled chicken breast. In other words it was spice-less, bland as bland could be. Classic bar food at a GREAT price. Everything was very reasonably priced. $14 for a crab cake entree with two crab cakes and a side? How can you beat that? Long wait on a Friday, so be prepared. But there is a bar area. Wings were bangin. Get the honey sriracha! Hot, crispy, big wings. Cheesesteaks, burgers, pierogies, and coconut shrimp were all great. Just what you'd expect for a good sandwich... rolls were nice and chewy! Homemade chips come with the sandwiches but you can get fries for extra. Great place. read more

We love the Perk. It's the only great place in town + surrounding area. Food is delicious. Menu has great variety. Staff is always friendly + on top of it. The ONLY reason I'm not giving a 5 start is because the "take-out" is lacking where when you dine in it's always on point. Too many times our take-out order was not right. It doesn't stop us from ordering because we love it here but it does become frustrating. Also- you can't do take out on weekends after 5:00p unless you go in + order at the bar which is also frustrating however I do understand it's because they get very busy + need to make sure their diners are fully taken care of without take-out distraction. So I don't fault them for that. I get it. But I do wish during the week they paid more attention to the take out order slips to make sure they are preparing + packing the order correctly. Otherwise we love it + are loyal customers. Highly recommend their Crab Cakes. Best crab cakes I have found so far in any other restaurant Ives tried. Steak tacos are second favorite + Menlo Park burger is a "go-to". The honey sriracha sauce is everything. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Perk last Saturday evening after the Perkasie car show. It was our first time at The Perk. Man, were we glad we decided to visit The Perk on our first visit to Perkasie. The food was amazing. First of all, we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated during which time we enjoyed a drink in the bar. Then, we were ushered into the dining room and greeted by Becca, our wait person. She was amazing! She explained all of the menu items and the drink selections. She brought all of our food quickly and with a smile on her face. She was the best! She even threw in the dessert (oh, my God, what a dessert) at no charge because my wife had mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. To sum it up: Go to The Perk at your next available opportunity. And, when you're there, ask for Becca. You will not regret it. read more

This is a fantastic place to eat. There are honestly few places where I can say I have not had a bad experience, this is one of those places. I love their food to death as it actually tastes good, plus they have staff who seem experienced and I rarely have to wait long for service. Sure the parking is annoying as hell and sometimes there is quite a wait to be seated (especially on Tuesday with the cheesesteak special) but the experience is worth it in my experience. Doesn't matter where we eat in the country, we're always comparing to The Perk. Quality of meal is always the best and prices are extremely reasonable. Best burgers ever and we always look forward to seeing what specials and soups they've come up with. Ribeye is my personal favorite. My husbands are the seafood specials. There will be a wait Friday and Saturday night but atmosphere is so awesome you don't mind having a few cocktails at the bar. Very good food, but very noisy. I've been here probably 6 or 7 times and every time that i am here, i can barely hear myself talk let alone the person i'm with. There's almost always a line as well. i think if they did a little renovating they could make it a much more enjoyable atmosphere and serve more customers in a timely fashion. there's not much seating available for when you do have to wait, so there's another downside. there's 2 benches and the rest either have to stand or wait outside. read more
