I have been going here all my life, so maybe that makes me biased but The Perk will always be one of my favorite places to eat. They have something for everyone: meat, seafood, vegetarian dishes, kids meals, etc. The Perk also supports local businesses such as Free Will Brewery by having their beers on special; they've also done this with local cupcake and ice cream businesses as well. The atmosphere is perfect for everyone. Whether you want to sit at the bar area to watch the game, play Trivia on Thursdays, or come with the kids for a family dinner. One of the more recent additions is that Monday nights, a local non profit or Pennridge sports team will fundraise so a portion of the The Perk's proceeds will go to them. One word for this place is AMAZING!!!!! I have been coming here multiple times a week since I was three with my family. The food is so good. You have to try the wings, famous perk perogies, french onion soup, and there famous cheese steak night. You can get for $ 2.95 plus add fries for a $1. We were in Perkasie to go to Pappa's Cupcakes and stopped into The Perk for lunch. I am sure glad we did. We were quickly seated and our server stopped by for our drink order. There are lots of choices on the menu. I settled for French Onion Soup and the Sirachi Honey Chicken sandwich and chips. My daughter got loaded fries with a side of ranch and a chicken Caesar salad. The French Onion Soup was loaded with tender onions that seemed to have been cooked for hours. I decided to go with something different in the Sirachi Honey chicken and was glad I did. It was spicy, but not to spicy and the chicken was tender and juicy. The loaded fries were smothered in shreds and the ranch dressing was the best we have ever had. The chicken Caesar salad was large and the chicken was very tender. The service is as good as the food. Needless to say, The Perk is definitely worth the 45 minute drive. read more

My husband and I look for new places to go to eat. We live in NJ and found the Perk on the Internet while looking for a Farmers Mkt. in Perkasie, Pa. What a find! The food was very very good. Our server was wonderfully friendly and very helpful. She reviewed the menu with us (I told her it was our first time here) and she explained the deliciousness of several items on the menu. I found this so valuable as we weren't sure what we wanted . Becca, our server, made everything sound so yummy! We chose the "Famous" Perk Pierogies as an appetizer to share. The potato Pierogies were lightly basted with a subtle garlic butter and covered with fresh mozzarella then baked! OMG to die for. Then I had a wonderful Roasted Maple Salmon that was cooked to perfection and some roasted cauliflower and mash potatoes (real creamy mash potatoes). Oh I forgot to mention I had a cup of a creamy onion crab soup (meal comes with a choice of soup or salad). It was delicious, fresh tasting and light...perfect! My husband had a beautiful mixed salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers,croutons, olives, arugula...surprisingly big and very fresh). For his entree, he had the grilled Salmon with a honey siracha glaze which was also cooked to perfection! His sides he choose were roasted potatoes and apple sauce. Becca, our server, was kind enough to bring him extra honey siracha glaze! It's that kind of care by a server that makes you the customer want to become a regular and tell all your friends to come as well. The perk has a full bar which made my husband happy! The Food is very good, the service is good but TOO LOUD!! Hardwood floors and all of the woodwork are beautiful but you cannot have a conversation as there is TOO much noise from all of the other tables. Nestled in the corner of South Main Street and East Walnut Street, in the heart of Perkasie, lies The Perk. This is a popular place for the area. Coming here you are sure to be welcome by warm smiles of both the staff and the patrons. Since it is very popular you usually have to wait to be seated, some small deal of time, assuming you're coming around peak hours. The place is very welcoming and homey. There is also a bar. The staff is friendly, as you would expect, and they are diligent workers. I've never had any problems with my waiters/waitresses, they have all been very helpful. Once you've ordered, don't expect a long wait time for your food, because they are really quick to serve your meal. They have a selection of beers, which my friend really enjoyed. The burgers are awesome. I have ordered them on multiple occasions and they don't disappoint. I'd also like to mention that they're salmon, as well as their sweet potato fries, and their pierogies area all really good, just to name a few of the items I've tried. They have their typical sides, and every now and then they'll have a "vegetable of the day" and every time that I've gone it has always been cut zucchini/squash. This may just be a coincidence but it's kind of disappointing. Maybe I'll just have to go back and see. Even though this place is, like what, 40 minutes away, I still consider it to be like a piece of home to me. read more

I originally had a 4-star review here (2013), but I am changing it (today, in 2017). If I could give them more than 5, I would. Let me start by saying I am a Pennridge grad and grew up in Sellersville; The Perk is no stranger to being the choice of restaurant in the area for decent food, decent service, and the fact you know what you're getting - they do well at what they do (with occasional positive surprises - i.e., I have never had a bad meal here, it's always good, but on occasion they just *really* hit the mark). Generally speaking, The Perk is true to its hometown roots in that it hasn't changed much in my 30 years. It's reliability leant it for a solid 4 stars. In early August, we hosted an unofficial memorial dinner for my mom here, the night before her funeral on Saturday. My aunt and uncle (my mom's brother and sister-in-law) organized everything; it was meant to be a very simple evening to raise a glass to my Mom with close friends and her siblings, before heading into one of the longest and hardest days of our lives the following morning. Let me tell you this: they organized it from afar, in North Carolina. The manager was communicative, sensitive and sincere, and went so far above and beyond. We figured we'd have a few small tables, raise a glass in the bar and sit separately to keep it simple and do our best to not be invasive on their restaurant- it was a Friday night and we were a large (20+) group, and we've all worked in restaurants enough to know that that's an outlandish and almost impossible request. Instead, we ended up with a fantastic team of servers and ONE (huge) table. We enjoyed a meal, made toasts, ate good food, and (most importantly and unexpectedly) felt relaxed in a time that that just didn't feel possible. If you have ever lost a parent, or someone close to you, it's a time in your life where the world kind of just feels a little (or frankly a lot) crappy. On the eve on just a truly sad day, The Perk rose to the occasion and gave my family a night I will not forget and will hold dear for years to come. I am truly impressed not only by their ability to not only serve well and to exceed our needs (again, good, reliable food and service), but to recognize with compassion and empathy the importance of family being at one table on that particular evening, smiling, laughing, and breaking bread. This place is so cute and I love how the inside is decorated with old pictures of the area's high school teams from the turn of the century. The one thing I will say is that if you don't get in before 5 for a table you are going to have to wait a little to get seated. The food was amazing and so inexpensive for the portion size that you get. I got the "perk" burger as well as the chicken caesar salad and added together that would have been $12. Went here with a party of four. The new renovations are good but not enough. This place gets really crowded to the point that you can't move around while waiting for a table which took over 45 minutes. Now we usually have a hood meal here but this time around I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the meal was awful the sauce tastes like some cheap ragu brand from the grocery store. Waitress was okay and tried to sell us some dessert but I was not in the mood. You guess they try that game instead of taking the meal off the bill thinking you will be satisfied. Please check your bill at this place we where over charged for a soft drink that we already paid for earlier at the bar which then gives us free refills you would think. Overall I don't know if I will go here again or recommend this place. We will see if it changes it ways maybe in the future or there just into getting as much from the community to get by and pay the new renovation costs. We love this place! Sadly the wait can be long during peak dinner times so we don't go as much as we like to. My wife swears that their burgers are the best! I've enjoyed their ribs, wings, and salads. I believe that they make some of their own salad dressings, and I love their blue cheese dressing.
