Was visiting the area with my young adult kids for a concert at the Sellersville Theater. I'd call the Perk's food "better than average American cuisine." I don't mean that as a negative. The food was good...but it didn't blow our socks off. The portions were generous. My burger from the daily specials was tasty. My daughters were happy with theirs, as well. Service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Prices were reasonable. I'd be happy to go back, if we return to the area. The restaurant was crowded, and there isn't much space in the waiting area. Really nice spot on a well traveled road just up from Free Will brewery. I had a great lunch here with my parents. We all had the hot roast beef sandwich, which was delicious. Burgers I think are definitely the best in Perkasie. Meatballs were spiced perfectly. Great choice of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Noisy acoustics at restaurant Not recommend for conversation. Conclusion: if you get here when it's crowded, turn around and leave, but make sure you come back another time when it's not crowded. Positive: the French onion soup is the best in the area. Lots of gluten free options on the menu. Most of the food ranges from good to very good. The decor is interesting and the building is an old hotel. Negatives: crowded small waiting area. Low, hard surfaced ceilings means the noise levels can be deafening when crowded. The ribs were the only item on the menu that was not good - the flavor and texture was just "off" read more

Where to begin... I've spent A LOT of time at The Perk over the years. Many lunches and many late nights. Food is good, especially for the price - chipotle chicken wrap and the hot brown are easily my two favorites. Beer is cold and they have a nice rotating selection. Staff has always been great. Jukebox is fun at night and there's just something about being here in the after hours. Wish they'd bring back the late night food menu, that was always so clutch. Were about 20 minutes from the perk and we would have never gone if not in the neighborhood looking at cars. We were starving so I popped on yelp and the perk came up with 4.5 stars so I said this is the spot. The Friday before St Patties day we knew it would be slammed busy but went anyway. By accident we went in the employee parking lot and the owner happened to be out there and said to park there anyway (immediately I knew we struck gold). The place was in fact jammed and the wait was 45 minutes but it was worth it. I always base my reviews on at least 3 categories and rarely do they all get 5 out of 5 Service 5 (we went on a busy Friday night and we waited 45 minutes but the people who worked there were all fantastic) food was hot drinks were cold and always full. Food 5 we had the Irish Nachos for an appetizer it was fantastic. I had the carousel burger and my wife had the queso Mac and cheese both dishes were great! My son had chicken fingers and my daughter had kids pasta both kids cleaned their plate. Atmosphere 5 yes it was loud and super crowded but it was clean. 5 stars and I'll take the 20 minute trip back! Clearly the owner is a class act and his employees think very highly of him. Update 3/22 I loved it so much I decided to come back for my birthday dinner and once again it was fantastic! This time I had the walnut burger and my wife had the steak tacos. Both dishes were excellent! Our server was awesome. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and mentioned it was my birthday and he sent over a desert. My first visit was on Saturday mid afternoon the day before St Patrick's. I had heard it is a great spot for informal dining. It is as advertised. Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. The bar and food menu are varied, extensive and reasonably priced. I also met the owner Larry who was actively involved helping the staff with customer service. He was gracious and friendly. Our server Madison was attentive, personable and not intrusive. The entree and appetizer portions were generous and of course we took any unfinished in the " take home " containers. Nice little spot in Sellersville. I had high hopes after reading the reviews, especially some of the people mentioning the burgers. I was there with my two kids after running some errands on a weekend afternoon. Seating: Hostess sat us at the first table on the right as soon as you walk in the dining area. If the hostess seats you at this table, ask to move. It is the intersection fo where everyone walks in and out and where all of the traffic comes out of the kitchen into the dining and bar area. Very high traffic, and there is a weak spot on the floor, so whenever someone walks by your chair and table bounce up and down. Plus you get a cold shot right up your back from the wind-tunnel effect of the hallway entrance. Service: Prompt attention once we sat down, drinks came out fast. But waitress never asked me nor my kids if we wanted refills, and we had apps, main meal, and shared desert. We were there for a while with empty drinks most of the time, so this was a big miss. Food: I had french onion soup, and a Reuben sandwich (open face). Kids each went for the Loaded Pierogies, which is deep fried pierogies covered in cheddar cheese and bacon. We split wings and a Bavarian pretzel for apps. Apps: Bavarian Pretzel and wings -- wings were crispy as requested. Served nice and hot, just the way I like. Bavarian pretzel was also hot and excellent, and the kids loved it. Dinner: My sandwich was OK. The pierogies were not well received by either kid. The cheddar cheese isn't real cheddar cheese, its that stuff you get in the huge #10 cans in bulk that pours as a thick liquid. If there is real cheese in there, its not much, and my daughter remarked that it has an off-smell. This is a fairly inexpensive appetizer, but it would have been so much better with sprinkled cheddar and bacon on top. Neither kid had more than half their plate of the pierogies. All in all, an OK experience. I might give it a shot again, decent draft beer selection and the dining room was clean and well lit. But I can;t say my first shot was a homerun. There is lots of room for improvement with just a little bit of effort and focus. read more

we arrived and the place was packed seemed like a good sign. the manager took our drink and app order great so far. then the waitress came and took our dinner order. this is where the problems begin. my husband had ordered coffee we had to ask for cream there times since she had forgotten the first two because she was busy flirting with a customer at another table. then out food arrives. my husband ordered penne and they brought spaghetti ok no biggie. she went to get the penne and delivered it to the wrong table and then when we said that was our she took it off that table and tried to hand it to my husband after people had eaten off of it. By then I realized the medium steak I ordered was well and the well burger I ordered was medium. I told the waitress about it but that I didn't want to her to take it back we would just box it up. By then manager walked by and how is everything I said well she stopped me and said ok great to hear have a nice night. We won't be going back here. I know they are busy and mistakes happen but when the wait was more worried about showing me I ordered it wrong which she figured out I ordered it right. Not a place to spend our money read more

Always super busy, which is the hallmark of a good restaurant. Good beer selection, particularly the Free Will options - Free Will Brewing is across the street. When it's super busy, service can kind of grind, but we've been here many times and will continue to visit. The Perk is pretty amazing. It transcends categories... is it a bar? (yup), is it a family friendly spot where several generations of a family can all go out for dinner? (yup), is it a museum? (not really, but if you pay attention to their decor, you will walk out understanding more about the history of Perkasie than you knew going in). But all of that is secondary... How's the food? The kitchen at the Perk hits the price/performance ratio just right. They've got a broad menu, and surprisingly do everything from cheesesteaks and burgers, to pastas and prime rib at a high standard. The clunker dishes I've had there have been the kitchen trying to do offbeat interpretations of ethnic foods... steer clear of anything looking Mexican on their menus... but they're trying, and not just ordering a box of frozen stuff from Sysco and nuking it up, so they still get credit for trying. read more

Being in NYC for 9 years now, this is one of the places I love to eat at whenever back home. I love the cheesesteaks with Amoroso rolls. The perk is a nice casual family restaurant with delicious food and great service. We are never disappointed when we go. Our go to's are the perk peiroges, the honey siracha chicken sandwich, the New Orleans pasta and the ribs. They have weekend specials which never disappoint either. The details of the meal really make it top notch (sauces, dips, spices) You can get a burger or chicken or Apps anywhere but those details are what keeps me coming back! Calling ahead, they wouldn't take reservations for our party of 6. We spent over 2.5 hours waiting for a table on a weeknight with nothing going on. When we did eat, it was way past dinner time and the food took a while to arrive, to the clinical disinterest of our server. The draft beer selection here is great - sure, there's the old standards but they also have plenty of seasonal choices (Weyerbacher and Dogfish pumpkin ales in the fall come to mind), plus plenty of Pennsylvania beers like Troegs as well as Perkasie's own Free Will. I have yet to order a bottled beer here because the draft selection is so vast. Food is awesome, too. My hubby is a big fan of $2.99 cheesesteak night on Tuesday, though I lean more towards other items, like the amazing bourbon glazed meatloaf (and I'm not exactly a meatloaf person, so that's saying something), the veggie grinder (they use homemade ranch dressing which is OMG-delicious), and the burgers are awesome, too. This is the first place where I have had ranch dressing as the dipping sauce with mozzarella sticks, too - and it works. The choices are ranch or some plum tomato sauce, so not your standard marina sauce. I think they recently updated the menu, too, because I've been seeing flatbread du jours and a few other items so yay for new things! Desserts are good, too. Bartenders are awesome and really nice, as is the rest of the staff. I think the only "bad" thing is having no parking lot but there is plenty of easy on-street parking so it's all good. Went there for lunch while I was on business, the place is as good as the reviews claim. My friend had the french onion soup and raved about it. She also had the special beer battered haddock and liked that as well although it could have used a little more seasoning. I had a garden salad and one of their burgers. The burger was cooked to perfection and the best part was they asked me how I wanted it cooked instead of bringing me a hockey puck. It comes with home made chips but I opted for the steak fries. They arrived hot and crispy. Food bill was $17 plus soda and coffee. The parking lot is small, most parking is on the street. I highly recommend this place. Beautiful surroundings and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm working in the area. read more

The Perk is a comfortable family and pub style restaurant with a large selection that offers something for everyone. Although you will likely have to wait if you come during prime hours or on Tuesday cheesesteak night, you should feel very welcome and comfortable here. read more
