    I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else! I have two miniature schnauzers and ALWAYS get compliments on their haircuts after their grooming visits. I know they are in good hands when I drop them off and get a prompt text message when they are ready for pickup.

    I really recommend this shop, they are really friendly with my babies dogs, they answer my questions and they care my babies. You feeling love and honestly. They have good products for skin allergies Thank you all staff the Pawber shop. Bella, Rocky, Celestia and Pinkie Pay!!!

    These groomers are fantastic! We brought in our six month old berniedoodle. He's a loving dog but full of energy. Vanessa hugged him and told us not to worry. He got his first haircut and he looks handsome. If you need a dog or cat groomer, call these ladies!

    What I asked for be what I got - Pawber Shop

    Been going to Pawber shop for over 2 years. Many of the groomers have changed out with exception of the owner. Last 2 grooms were not to my liking.. last one a couple months ago I did not say anything but arrived yesterday for our groom... took more time to explain what I was looking for.. showed a photo and even volunteered to text someone the photo... no it's ok was the reply. I picked up my dog and only once I got home realized how off the cut was. I asked for a more rounded head.. not too short under beard and the ears rounded not straight across. (Last cut my dog was referred to as Lloyd of Dumb and Dumber). The photo speaks for itself. I did not ask for money back.. I sent a message explaining I hadn't been very happy last cuts and asked for the best groomer to be out on my dog next time. I even said it'll grow... just just need another groomer next time. Needless to say my dog that gets groomed every 6-7 weeks (my dog is only 7 so many years ahead of us) and our Golden that gets groomed 4-5x a year - this obviously isn't important to this company. Even more so they do not want clients with requests or expectations. I no longer will reccomended this salon and do not care for their callousness in dealing and keeping long term clients happy. The response is as follows; Hi Mrs. Xxxx, We appreciate your feedback regarding Xxxx groom. Here at The Pawber Shop, we strive to do the best grooms we can every day with every dog. Since our clients can be a bit wiggly, every groom can look slightly different. Every groomer we employ is highly skilled (15 plus years of experience) and we do not rate one over the other. We understand that Xxxx haircut is very important to you, and unfortunately we have been unable to meet your expectations too many times. As such, we are going to recommend you find a salon for Xxxx that can meet your needs. We wish you and Xxxx all the best.

    They did an excellent job! They made me feel comfortable about leaving my Labradoodle to get groomed!

    Dirty feet from pee right out of groomer. Not to say uncombed.

    They accepted my dog for grooming being that she was a little knotty. They said that she will need conditioning to be able to get rid of the knots (extra $5). Good enough. They called me 30 minutes later saying that they don't do deknotting. "Why did you accept her in the first place?" They wanted to shave her off! No thanks! They charged me $34 for a bath. They did not even comb my pet, only air dried her. Her feet are still dirty from her pee. I wasted $34. Next time be more straight forward with client and say the do's and don't before accepting our pets. I'm new to Elgin. I'm still looking for a good groomer that will take care of my baby girl. P.S I just noticed that the same thing happened to another yelper! Beware of this place!

    As a cat mom, I was worried about bringing my Persian to a grooming salon because he has never been around dogs and I didn't want him to get stressed out. But sometimes a cat just needs to get his "personal areas" trimmed up for easier cleaning.Kimmy did a phenomenal job to accommodate my cat and ensure he experienced as little stress as possible! Her recommendations on trimming his hair as opposed to shaving him spoke to her experience and I was more than comfortable leaving Kernel Mustard in her care. The entire team at the Pawber Shop is extremely professional & friendly! I will recommend them to everyone in the area! Thank you so much Kimmy and Team!

    I cant rate this shop on service because we were not actually customers. We scheduled our Akita to be groomed for 2 pm on 09.05.2020. Thats the last appointment they make for the day because they close at 5 pm. I get a call if I can come 30 mins early, almost pressured to come in earlier. That was irritating. At 1:57 my wife calls to notify that she'll be 10 minutes late as shes on her way, the place is only 10 mins from our place. Most places have a 5-15 minute grace period for appointments. Vanessa told my wife that they're going to have to cancel now becasue shes running late. If your business doesnt have a grace period, you let your customers know when they schedule an appointment, dont be late because we will cancel. I called Vanessa as to why our appointment was canceled, she told me that she canceled becasue my wife called at 2:03 according to their caller i.d stating she would be 30 minutes late. At this point, I'm thinking b.s. because i was on the phone with the shop at 2:03 and if my wife is ever going to be 30 minutes late, she cancels. I called her out on it, then she tells me that the reason she canceled is because if we werent going to be there right at 2 pm, my akita who has a short double coat, wont dry in time before they close at 5. I bathe my dog often and he takes 20 minutes to dry, i told them that when i sheduled my appointment. When i called vanessa out again on the gaps and different responses she had been giving me, she told me that my dog was just going to be too much work because of his size, or his double coat, or the fact that my wife said "im running 30 minutes late" or because they just cant brush him if he's damp. Im not really sure at this point, i got lost with all the excuses for what sounds to me is a case of someone just trying to close up shop early on the saturday of labor day weekend. If you cant accept pets at your shop at the exact time of your appointment, then they arent accepting any appointments, because any customer that shows up on time is already 8 minutes late accourding to the clock they have at their shop according to vanessa. We ended up taking our dog to petco in west dundee, which i didn't want to do because ive heard horror stories, but they were able to take him last minute since we leave for vacation early sunday morning. Not only did they take my dog last minute, they managed to squeeze a dog into their busy schedule that was "too much work." We got our boy back in a little under two hour of dropping him off. He got his medicated bath with our shampoo, then washed with their shampoo. He was also brushed, deshedded had his ears cleaned, nails trimmed and filed and teeth cleaned. It was 15 dollars cheaper than what pawber shop was charging but i ended up tipping $50 and paid the extra 44 bucks for the deshedding, because they saved the day. Despite a pleasant experience at petco, im not going back because im looking for a consistent groomer for our boy and id still rather give my business to local shops. Im still going to schedule our boy to be groomed here some day, you cant ignore all the postive recent reviews and being so close to home. On a side note, I cant fault vanessa for wanting to get out early on a saturday, just drop the bull shit.

    I had such a great experience here. My pup was in desperate need of some tender love and care beauty.. she looks amazing! I didn't get the name of who worked with her, but the staff is all extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They listened and gave me exactly what I was looking for! I already re-booked her. Thank you all at the shop so much!

    I came in to the dog groomers at. 9:30. I was scheduled for 9am but I thought it was a general…read moredrop off time because I could see dogs lined up for grooming: I was also called the last two times at 3pm when I dropped them off in the morning. So my guess is that they leave the dogs for a couples hours and take them when they are ready. It took me two months to get the appointment. It was my third appointment. I tip well it. Costs me close to 200 with both dogs including tip . Not to mention they don't like being Dropped off there. Jill the manager kicked me and my dogs out because we were late. When I complained Jill offered to call every dog groomer in town to complain about me so I would not be able to get into another dog groomer. What? I admit I was extremely upset because my dogs look terrible and need grooming at least every two months. It was very upsetting to me that I might have to wait another month for a dog groomer they cannot go without grooming. I showed late due to a misunderstanding. I live half the time in Chicago and I can say I have never been treated in this way. Typically 9 am would be a general drop off and they line up the dogs for the groomers. Which I understand. Jill did not even offer me another day . Snd said it's like a vet office you must show up on time. Yes agree with being on time for a vet because they don't line them up to be washed. I called the establishment back and asked to talk with the owner. Jill answered and said she was the owner. I cannot believe that she is the owner. She doubled down on her rudeness. She called insulting names. I cannot believe an owner of an establishment would act the way she did. Took the day off from work and got my dogs into Pawsatively. What a great group! My dogs look perfect that's to Pawatively at 1550'N Wells. If groomers aren't nice to the owners I can't what goes on with innocent dogs when the owners aren't around. They are very professional and pay attention to my dogs needs. They take you on time when your appointment is scheduled and are prompt In calling you as soon as they are done . With my 3 dogs and a standing 8 am appointment every 5 weeks they are usually done by 1030-11. I recommend booking in advance as they book quickly because their service is the best! Most importantly my dogs (and myself) are always happy to see Jill, Courtney and Noelle and vice versa. I know they are always in good hands and come out looking amazing and smell great.
