I live in Des Plaines, but I heard rave reviews about Anja and Doggy Has It so I thought the trek out to South Elgin was completely worth it for my dog. I've had my dog groomed at your typical Petsmart and the like but no other experience has been as great as this one. Anja is an animal lover to the core, you can just tell in the way she speaks to you, treats you and your pet. She has absolutely reasonable prices and does great work. My dog is a spoiled brat and Anja was able to work with him just fine, and it only took an hour and a half. She doesn't cage the animals so they aren't going to sitting, frightened in a cage for 2 hours like how they do it at Petsmart. Her products are wonderful, in fact since I was a first time customer she threw in a blueberry facial scrub for free :) My dog's coat has never been as soft! I seriously was amazed at how different it felt/looked. I love the way she groomed my dog and will be coming back over and over! I even asked her what products she used so I can use them on my dog in between grooming. All in all, she is really helpful, and her grooming service run out of her living room beats any other store. read more

Anja, owner of Doggy Has It, had been my two Standard Poodles' groomer for several years. She does a great job and is meticulous in her grooming. Recently we moved to WI and we needed to return to IL for a few days. I used her boarding services and was so thrilled at how receptive my dogs were to staying with her. She welcomes them with love and they return her love. I would NEVER trust my dogs with ANYONE but Anja. The boardiing facility is awesome and my two dogs share a large double "castle" (crate). Before meeting Anja I had never left my dogs with anyone other than family or friends. Now, I wouldn't leave them with anyone other than Anja! Before the first boarding, she gave us a tour of the facility. It's so nice and open and very clean. My biggest concern with any boarding facility was that my dogs would be caged all day. Thats clearly not the case with Anja. She has a huge playground connected to the indoor kennel area that any dog would love. My favorite part is the smaller, completely fenced in area for the little dogs. Anja sent me pictures and updates throughout my trip and getting that peace of mind was something I truly appreciated. I looked forward to seeing videos of them having fun! I also get my dogs groomed by Anja and she does a great job with that as well. She really takes the time to get to know the personality of each dog that is in her care. My dogs tend to be anxious and timid and Anja has worked with them throughout their visits with her. NEVER AGAIN!! When I expressed my dog needed his anal gland popped during the grooming process, she tried to explain it wasn't necessary and didn't do it. WRONG! My dog has been going crazy for over a week now with irritation back there... what a nightmare. I guess since she already got paid for the grooming she doesn't care. When I contacted her today and said he needs it done today (5 days after grooming), she says she has no time and he has to wait 2 more days...hmm of course she doesn't have a whole 5 minutes it takes to pop these glands. She tried giving me a whole run a round about how he has to be washed after the glands are relieved. Really??? The vet says NOT! Customer care NEGATIVE 5 stars!!! When you have a client with a problem you make it a priority and do whatever it takes to fix the problem, not make them wait 3 days with an extremely irritated rear end!! How extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! So much more could be said.. BEWARE, she only wants your $$$$$. Once she has that, you're dust in the wind.. and this woman was aware of my request for this service when my dog was dropped off! read more
