Haven't been here for ++20yrs. I think the patty's taste even better than I remembered. I really like their curry beef Patty. Can't believe it's still here. And I'm really happy that it is. If only Jimmy's was still here too. Highly recommended if you've never been :)

Veggie, Spicy Beef and Chicken fresh pattys. Wish you could smell them on a perfect winter weekend

Convenient, great pricing, compact, and sooo many flavours to choose from!! We moved a few minutes away from here and the last couple weeks, we've been ordering every week!! My favourites are: Spicy Beef, Spinach & Cheese, Chicken and the vegetarian!! I would give them a 5 because well like I said in the first sentence of my review, it's compact, convenient, the taste is absolutely fabulous and flavours are off the hook. They have many favour options for those who love or hate spice and my only main issue is the mess. It's crumbly, well the crust is so make sure you have some sort of napkins or cover your clothing!

Had the vegetarian patty, well actually 2 in one seating. It was piping hot as in temperature wise. I picked it up and actually waited 10 mins to eat it and to my surprised, it still felt like it just came out of the oven. It was very tasty and well seasoned. The crust is pretty perfect to me!!! Will be back for more. Wish they make a non spicy version though as the vegetarian one is also spicy as with the rest of the options

A friend raved about this shop and so I went to get some patties to try. This was my second time trying Jamaican patties. I bought the chicken, hot beef and spinach patties. I did not care much about them. Maybe because I did not reheat them in the air fryer or oven. So the crust was not super crispy. The spinach reminded me of the greek spanakopita. The chicken and hot beef were ok. A bit spicy but really nothing special. I may get some patties if I am in the area but it is not a place to make a special trip for. Street parking is available.

I'm half Jamaican and grew up eating patties and coco bread for breakfast lunch and dinner. When I go to Vancouver I always go to Jamaican restaurants to get patties. Most restaurants sell out of patties by noon or early afternoon. I was very excited to find the Patty shop. The dough isn't as thick as a traditional patty, but they are very tasty. I really like the curry chicken Patty. I had the spicy beef as well. It was also very good. I like the Patty Shop, and will support every time I go to the Vancouver. I highly recommend the Patty shop if you want tasty patties. Traditional Jamaican restaurants only make 8-12 patties. Half of them are sold by the time the come out of the oven, and you're left with only vegetable patties. Hell no!

Definitely a no frills joint. Imagine this. You're walking on this street and smell a heavenly curry delight in the air. You discover the Patty Shop and walk into this place. It's the size of two or three cubicles. Ring the bell for service. In front of you is a chalk board written with all their options. Patties of course - mild beef, hot beef, curry beef. Chicken. Spinach. Vegetarian. Jamaican roti. These damn good patties FROZEN for you to bake at your own delight. Pay up. Cash or cheque ONLY so come prepared. Get your box of delights. Walk out the door and STUFF YOUR FACE. Share with your office and be the most popular person in the company that day ;)

I've been told this has the best patties in the city. I bought a Roti instead of a patties but it was good too. I have to return and try their Patty another time. This is a little place with an order counter and a kitchen in the back. There is no place to eat onsite, not even a counter to stand and eat. So take out only. Be aware they only accept cash or cheque, not even debit! They only sold Chicken or Vegetable Roti. Some told me they used to sell Beef and Goat. I didn't ask if they changed their menu or simply ran out by 5:00pm. They close at 6:30pm so you have to plan to get there early if you want to buy for dinner. There are lots of selections for patties. They even sell frozen ones. There is a drinks vending machine. It is possible to parking along the street for free for a short while.

This is a little hole in the wall take-out patty shop, but it has been here for more than 20 years and that says something! This is the place to go to get ready to eat jamaican patties at a really cheap price, from around $3.00 each. Depending on your taste, you can get a mild to a really hot patty and the patties are so flavourful. They have mild beef, hot beef, curry beef, vegetable, spinach, and chicken. Over the years, they have expanded and also have chicken roti and vegetable roti. The awesome thing is that you can buy a dozen, freeze it, and those days that your not into cooking, you can pop a patty into the oven and it still tastes amazing. The only draw back is that they only take cash or cheque. However, there are lots of side street parking and it's free.

Probably the most tasty delicious patties in Metro Vancouver! Hands down The Patty Shop delivers. I recommend you try a variety of patties first before you can find your favourite. I love the Hot Beef & Spinach patties best. If you want mean nasty heat then order the Curry Beef Patty & burn your mouth off to your own content! Now if you want to compare 'apples to oranges' then try patties in T dot O dot (Toronto) or for the very ultimate best - head to the Caribbean! Located on MacDonald St at 24th Ave - a relatively quiet strip with few shops. Pickup your patties & head to Kits Beach or home for lunch. TPS is a basic small tiny shop with no frills. The heart & soul of this joint is obviously in the back (where patties are made) which the public can't see. No seating available so pickup & head out. A true Vancouver mainstay nonetheless - yah mon! Jah bless!

Finally got the chance to try the patties from the patty shop. Curry beef was hot, fresh and spicy. Prices was fair, would come back.

Love these patties! My favorite is the curried chicken. I go every once in a while to buy a 12 pack bag of them.

Other than that, no one really checked up on us though some people (owners? employees?) did walk by. Food was tasty though we both found the jerk chicken and shrimp salty (it was a bit spicy for me but that's just my tolerance). For around $25 for my dish after tax and tips, I can't say I left completely satisfied. I like supporting local businesses and would recommend trying though!

However, it appeared you could not put the two together when ordering and the server (I think) was extremely nice but she had to go back and ask with every order. It was weird since it showed on the website you could get a beef patty and coco bread. In the end I ended up getting a patty in a coco bread but it was so complicated to order. My husband got the same thing and an order of Johnny cakes with the Mango butter. The best thing about the whole experience was the Johnny Cakes and the mango butter. It was truly the mango butter that had me bring a smile to my face. If I could, I would of slathered the whole butter in the Johnny cakes. When it comes to the beef patty, my husbands was warm yet mine was ice cold in the middle. Clearly microwaved I would assume. In the end it was just an okay experience if that. I would like to see more consistency with the menu and the knowledge of it and the promise of fresh made food being true. It sure didn't taste like that with the patty.

It is a very small restaurant. The front has a very nice Caribbean vibe with Caribbean music, grass fronds over the bar and Caribbean posters. It has a very nice island vibe and could put you in a holiday frame of mind. There was only 1 table in the front of the restaurant that was not a high top. The back of the restaurant had a couple of booths but it seemed very dark back there. They also had a couple of tables set up outside but they were not conducive to what we wanted as they overlooked the parking lot and King George Blvd. When we arrived there were no customers dining inside and the staff was at the back of the restaurant. We waited and waited and finally my husband shouted "hello". We were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Again we waited and waited. I was tempted to get up and leave but my husband said he really wanted to try the food. Finally a waitress appeared. They did not have many of listed drinks available. I asked for white wine, Bacardi breeze, and a mango drink. None were available. My husband had a ginger beer and I finally settled on a pineapple drink (in a bottle) and water. Our server was not particularly helpful. The menu that is shown on their website is outdated. They do not offer the smaller portions anymore and the prices are higher than they show on their website. We both had spicy beef patties ($4,00 vs $3.75 on website) . They were delicious. The pastry was nice and flakey and the filling was hot and nicely seasoned. For entrees I had oxtail ($21.00 vs $19.75 on website). My husband had the jerk pork. Both of our meals were very good and the serving sizes were generous. My oxtail was delicious. The gravy and carrots with the oxtail were very good. My husband enjoyed the jerk sauce that was served with his pork. Both entrees came with a dumpling, macaroni and rice and peas. I notice that the reviews on their website are also outdated. All are reviews from 2019. I think that Di Reggae is more interested in take out customers than walk in clientele. Although we really enjoyed the food it is unlikely that we'll return. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a great island theme but we honestly felt like we were imposing on the staff by taking a table and wanting to eat in. Maybe we should try Riddim and Spice as other reviewers have mentioned

They have a small menu but their food is AMAZING! You can choose veggie, chicken, lamb, oxtail, or beef and either make it buss it (roti with curry on the side) or buss it (turnover). We tried there veggie one one which came with chickpeas, spinach, and lentil. It was DELICIOUS! The texture was mushy but the flavours went so well together. The roti you get with buss up is flaky but melts in your mouth when you have it with the curries. The other one I really liked was the special spicy chicken curry, very flavourful! Very filling. The person who took my order was very nice, and was patient answering questions for some customers who came in after me. The food was also ready pretty quickly. Seating is pretty limited, with two large tables and a few bar seats. It seems like they do a lot of takeout and the food all comes in takeout containers, but the dine-in experience was pleasant thanks to the hospitality of the staff.
