We came on a weekday evening and we were the only table at that time. Service was friendly though…read morewe were left alone the majority of the meal except when they server came by to take our order and get our bill. Other than that, no one really checked up on us though some people (owners? employees?) did walk by. Food was tasty though we both found the jerk chicken and shrimp salty (it was a bit spicy for me but that's just my tolerance). For around $25 for my dish after tax and tips, I can't say I left completely satisfied. I like supporting local businesses and would recommend trying though!

I really wanted to love this place more then I did. I originally just wanted a Coco bread and patty…read moresandwich. However, it appeared you could not put the two together when ordering and the server (I think) was extremely nice but she had to go back and ask with every order. It was weird since it showed on the website you could get a beef patty and coco bread. In the end I ended up getting a patty in a coco bread but it was so complicated to order. My husband got the same thing and an order of Johnny cakes with the Mango butter. The best thing about the whole experience was the Johnny Cakes and the mango butter. It was truly the mango butter that had me bring a smile to my face. If I could, I would of slathered the whole butter in the Johnny cakes. When it comes to the beef patty, my husbands was warm yet mine was ice cold in the middle. Clearly microwaved I would assume. In the end it was just an okay experience if that. I would like to see more consistency with the menu and the knowledge of it and the promise of fresh made food being true. It sure didn't taste like that with the patty.

Even thou we went during the lunch rush the food came out quickly. If you are looking for Jamaican food this is the place to go!

The restaurant is at King George Blvd. and 108 but you cannot access the restaurant from the main…read moreroad since there is an iron railing circling around the outer edge of the sidewalk and you cannot enter from King George so you have to access the restaurant by driving around the back. It is a very small restaurant. The front has a very nice Caribbean vibe with Caribbean music, grass fronds over the bar and Caribbean posters. It has a very nice island vibe and could put you in a holiday frame of mind. There was only 1 table in the front of the restaurant that was not a high top. The back of the restaurant had a couple of booths but it seemed very dark back there. They also had a couple of tables set up outside but they were not conducive to what we wanted as they overlooked the parking lot and King George Blvd. When we arrived there were no customers dining inside and the staff was at the back of the restaurant. We waited and waited and finally my husband shouted "hello". We were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Again we waited and waited. I was tempted to get up and leave but my husband said he really wanted to try the food. Finally a waitress appeared. They did not have many of listed drinks available. I asked for white wine, Bacardi breeze, and a mango drink. None were available. My husband had a ginger beer and I finally settled on a pineapple drink (in a bottle) and water. Our server was not particularly helpful. The menu that is shown on their website is outdated. They do not offer the smaller portions anymore and the prices are higher than they show on their website. We both had spicy beef patties ($4,00 vs $3.75 on website) . They were delicious. The pastry was nice and flakey and the filling was hot and nicely seasoned. For entrees I had oxtail ($21.00 vs $19.75 on website). My husband had the jerk pork. Both of our meals were very good and the serving sizes were generous. My oxtail was delicious. The gravy and carrots with the oxtail were very good. My husband enjoyed the jerk sauce that was served with his pork. Both entrees came with a dumpling, macaroni and rice and peas. I notice that the reviews on their website are also outdated. All are reviews from 2019. I think that Di Reggae is more interested in take out customers than walk in clientele. Although we really enjoyed the food it is unlikely that we'll return. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a great island theme but we honestly felt like we were imposing on the staff by taking a table and wanting to eat in. Maybe we should try Riddim and Spice as other reviewers have mentioned

My first time trying Trinidadian food and definitely won't be my last. Baby Dhal is a grab-and-go…read morespot on Commercial, they have a few tables and chairs but it's mostly meant for a grab-and-go experience. Their food is very well priced and is pretty filling! They have a small menu but their food is AMAZING! You can choose veggie, chicken, lamb, oxtail, or beef and either make it buss it (roti with curry on the side) or buss it (turnover). We tried there veggie one one which came with chickpeas, spinach, and lentil. It was DELICIOUS! The texture was mushy but the flavours went so well together. The roti you get with buss up is flaky but melts in your mouth when you have it with the curries. The other one I really liked was the special spicy chicken curry, very flavourful! We also tried their Phololurie which were essentially dough balls that you can dip in tamarind sauce. I can't wait to come back here!!

The plate includes aloo (potato), spinach, and chickpea (chana) curries with buss-up, a very flaky, buttery flatbread. I loved the texture of the buss-up and all of the curries were delicious. I got medium spice which had a kick but wasn't super hot, and I would definitely recommend getting this with some heat if you can handle it because I think a lot of the flavour came from the hot sauce. Very filling. The person who took my order was very nice, and was patient answering questions for some customers who came in after me. The food was also ready pretty quickly. Seating is pretty limited, with two large tables and a few bar seats. It seems like they do a lot of takeout and the food all comes in takeout containers, but the dine-in experience was pleasant thanks to the hospitality of the staff.
