My food adventures landed here to try some Trinidadian roti. The owner was friendly and explained the menu items to us. I ordered myself a chicken roti and ginger beer. The ginger beer had a really good kick and took me a bit by surprise, but it was good. It is a one man show so the owner took some time to make all the food as we were a large group. My chicken roti was flavourful with chicken mixed in with spices, bits of potato and creamy mashed potato. The roti wrapper is thin with a nice chew. The roti is huge and I could not finish the whole thing. I did try a bite of the doubles and I think the doubles is a good snack size portion or a lunch portion for a small eater. The owner came out after serving the food to chat with us. He told us everything is made in house and from scratch. The hot sauce is actually hot and different from the usual hot sauces I have tried. I forgot the type of pepper used but the pepper is unique to the Caribbean is all I can remember. There is free street parking in the residential area or metered parking at the front of the restaurant.

Love this place! Coming from California with no Trinidadian restaurant at all. We were excited to try this place and took the time to come and enjoy some real authentic Trini food. Highly reccommend this place. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and a good guy to talk to. Big servings on food and everything we ordered was seasoned really well. We had a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place!

    Goat roti super tasty!

Very tasty! I came in on a too warm Saturday and we were the only people in the shop :) Owner was friendly and chatted with me about trinidadian food being much more well known back east. The portions are large and everything was so good. I had the goat roti and the meat was good, and the perfect level of spice for me. The mango dressing on the salad was tasty! Come here, I don't think you will regret it.

Stewed chicken over rice and vegetarian roti. HEARTY MEALS! delicious!

I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I finally got to! Did not disappoint! I got the vegetarian roti (chickpeas and potato) and my husband got the chicken stew over rice and beans. We were in love. The roti wrap was probably the size of my forearm, HUGE which im totally fine with but if you have a small stomach then maybe cut in half. My husband also got the Jamaican lager beer and let me try, it was SO refreshing on the hot day. I have four stars because the beer was 6 dollars which I thought was a little much. I get the Jamaican beer being more because it's imported but even the Heineken was. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought 6 dollars for a Heineken was too much. Besides that the food was delicious and even tho the owner came out looking a little grumpy he ended up giving us great conversation and a delicious spicy sauce (emphasis on spicy). He ended up being a great guy. BTW my husband and I that in terms of food this place was better than THE REEF if you're in the mood for Caribbean

Doubles! Perfect size for me for lunch

Thank you Yelp or I never would have even seen this place to try it out. What a gem! I stopped in for lunch and got the doubles which was a delicious warm and spicy chickpea mix on soft and tasty little breads and I am hooked. This will be a new lunch spot for me (dinner if i lived in the area!). The gentleman (maybe the owner) was very friendly also. So stoked to have found this place in new west!

I did try their Goat curry with rice. (He was out of Roti!) It was truly "Homestyle". Rice, potatoes and the curry. Very satisfying.

If the jerk chicken wasn't so ridiculously spicy I probably would of enjoyed it, every single bite burned my mouth couldn't eat the rest.

I had a few friends who brought me some from their favourite bakeries too. When I moved back to the West Coast, I missed those patties (amongst other Toronto eats.) And that's why I was so glad to find Morgan's Harbour was just around the corner from my home offering authentic Jamaican patties. They're currently supplying groceries around the Lower Mainland and seem to just started their their retail business up and running. They're open for pick-up on Mondays and Fridays only. I emailed them my request to order 1 dozen spicy beef patties for $32.50 and the following day, Friday, they confirmed that I can pick-up my order. Payment can be done by cash or etransfer to their published email address. Pick-up was at their factory at an industrial area in PoCo. (Almost missed it as the door wasn't labeled - kinda comical, actually!) The patties were frozen and had instructions on how to heat it. We were so excited to try it that we just popped them in the microwave. The crust was so flaky and the finely minced beef was so flavourful with the right proper spices to make me want to keep on eating! These patties are much better than my TTC patties! I'm ordering more next time and sharing them with my family!

The restaurant is at King George Blvd. and 108 but you cannot access the restaurant from the main…read moreroad since there is an iron railing circling around the outer edge of the sidewalk and you cannot enter from King George so you have to access the restaurant by driving around the back. It is a very small restaurant. The front has a very nice Caribbean vibe with Caribbean music, grass fronds over the bar and Caribbean posters. It has a very nice island vibe and could put you in a holiday frame of mind. There was only 1 table in the front of the restaurant that was not a high top. The back of the restaurant had a couple of booths but it seemed very dark back there. They also had a couple of tables set up outside but they were not conducive to what we wanted as they overlooked the parking lot and King George Blvd. When we arrived there were no customers dining inside and the staff was at the back of the restaurant. We waited and waited and finally my husband shouted "hello". We were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Again we waited and waited. I was tempted to get up and leave but my husband said he really wanted to try the food. Finally a waitress appeared. They did not have many of listed drinks available. I asked for white wine, Bacardi breeze, and a mango drink. None were available. My husband had a ginger beer and I finally settled on a pineapple drink (in a bottle) and water. Our server was not particularly helpful. The menu that is shown on their website is outdated. They do not offer the smaller portions anymore and the prices are higher than they show on their website. We both had spicy beef patties ($4,00 vs $3.75 on website) . They were delicious. The pastry was nice and flakey and the filling was hot and nicely seasoned. For entrees I had oxtail ($21.00 vs $19.75 on website). My husband had the jerk pork. Both of our meals were very good and the serving sizes were generous. My oxtail was delicious. The gravy and carrots with the oxtail were very good. My husband enjoyed the jerk sauce that was served with his pork. Both entrees came with a dumpling, macaroni and rice and peas. I notice that the reviews on their website are also outdated. All are reviews from 2019. I think that Di Reggae is more interested in take out customers than walk in clientele. Although we really enjoyed the food it is unlikely that we'll return. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a great island theme but we honestly felt like we were imposing on the staff by taking a table and wanting to eat in. Maybe we should try Riddim and Spice as other reviewers have mentioned
