Jerk chicken, rice and beans, corn bread.

I love this place so much for it's atmosphere. The owners are friendly and make you feel like family every time you go. Di Reggae hosts great music nights featuring local artists and promotes and holds community events. It's a great place to grab some drinks with friends or to grab lunch solo. I have dreams about the rice and beans; I don't know what they do to it but it's so moist and flavourful. I would pass on the patties and save some room for the rum cake instead. If you're lucky enough to go when they have fish fritters grab one.

My bf took us here, he had been a few times with a pal who grew up in Jamaica and he loves to share his food spots with us. My rating is based on the Jamaican patties and the friendliness of the woman who served us. While it's during the pandemic so it's takeout only. Between the two of us we had the mild beef patty, the spicy beef patty, the vegetarian patty, and the chicken patty. The pastry is so flaky and the spice is spot on. The filling was a little bit more on the generous side with the beef than the chicken, I will definitely go back and have the beef patty again. I also want to go back and try some of their mains (oxtail). The woman who assisted us was shy but friendly and it was so nice when she smiled! Parking is available on the street, take note the road where you park is one way, so if you're accessing from King George you have to go around the little plaza, do a loop to get in.

My husband has been CRAVING Tommies Jerk for weeks and we finally got to have it again after almost…read more3 years! Still amazing flavours, great prices and amazing personality owner and chef Tommie. The instant you get there you feel like you are reuniting with a friend after so many years!tp I didn't get to take a photo of our food cause we devoured it pretty quick, but we shared a chicken jerk burrito and their Jamaican beef patty, which is one of their new products that they introduced. We also got the pineapple lemonade and mango iced tea. Everything was so good! The jerk was flavorful and the spice slowly kicked in each time we ate. But that is what Jamaican food is all about! I loved everything about it and you must check out this gem in CLOVERDALE on Fridays and Saturdays

i want to give this a 3.5 because we tried ordering from them 4 different times on Skip the Dishes…read moreand each time it got timed out and cancelled our order. On one occasion, we also drove there in person and no one had come out to the area (a little industrial and deserted). When we finally got an order through one day - we had gotten the Jamaican jerk beef burrito (so spicy!), Jamaican jerk chicken burrito (my favourite), Jamaican jerk chicken nachos (not quite what we expected - Doritos and cheese) and Jamaican strawberry lemonade. It was an okay meal overall and maybe we were just unlucky with our ordering dilemma but you can tell he does have happy customers so I would try again but maybe not in a total heartbeat. EDIT: sorry forgot to add - I did really enjoy the chicken burrito! It was filling and seemed like different seasoning/spice than the beef and paired very well with the mango peach salsa. I'd recommend that for your next choice!

I spent most of my adult life living in Toronto where riding the subway is a way of life…read more Sometimes, I got lucky where a bakery is in the station and I could easily get a Jamaican patty to snack on. I had a few friends who brought me some from their favourite bakeries too. When I moved back to the West Coast, I missed those patties (amongst other Toronto eats.) And that's why I was so glad to find Morgan's Harbour was just around the corner from my home offering authentic Jamaican patties. They're currently supplying groceries around the Lower Mainland and seem to just started their their retail business up and running. They're open for pick-up on Mondays and Fridays only. I emailed them my request to order 1 dozen spicy beef patties for $32.50 and the following day, Friday, they confirmed that I can pick-up my order. Payment can be done by cash or etransfer to their published email address. Pick-up was at their factory at an industrial area in PoCo. (Almost missed it as the door wasn't labeled - kinda comical, actually!) The patties were frozen and had instructions on how to heat it. We were so excited to try it that we just popped them in the microwave. The crust was so flaky and the finely minced beef was so flavourful with the right proper spices to make me want to keep on eating! These patties are much better than my TTC patties! I'm ordering more next time and sharing them with my family!

We came on a weekday evening and we were the only table at that time. Service was friendly though…read morewe were left alone the majority of the meal except when they server came by to take our order and get our bill. Other than that, no one really checked up on us though some people (owners? employees?) did walk by. Food was tasty though we both found the jerk chicken and shrimp salty (it was a bit spicy for me but that's just my tolerance). For around $25 for my dish after tax and tips, I can't say I left completely satisfied. I like supporting local businesses and would recommend trying though!

I really wanted to love this place more then I did. I originally just wanted a Coco bread and patty…read moresandwich. However, it appeared you could not put the two together when ordering and the server (I think) was extremely nice but she had to go back and ask with every order. It was weird since it showed on the website you could get a beef patty and coco bread. In the end I ended up getting a patty in a coco bread but it was so complicated to order. My husband got the same thing and an order of Johnny cakes with the Mango butter. The best thing about the whole experience was the Johnny Cakes and the mango butter. It was truly the mango butter that had me bring a smile to my face. If I could, I would of slathered the whole butter in the Johnny cakes. When it comes to the beef patty, my husbands was warm yet mine was ice cold in the middle. Clearly microwaved I would assume. In the end it was just an okay experience if that. I would like to see more consistency with the menu and the knowledge of it and the promise of fresh made food being true. It sure didn't taste like that with the patty.
