The Parlour is a one stop shop. Ive had my lashes done by Karen, hair by Tali, and nails by Nikki and Laura. Its a relaxing atmosphere and I always leave feeling glamorous. You really develop connections with these ladies. I always look forward to my appointments at the parlour

Hair that I got! Way shorter than what I wanted! And look at this!! I wanted layers to frame my face, not uneven chops!

It took a lot for me too write this review and I feel awful doing so but paying $195 +20 tip for this is making me upset. I had an appt with Tali yesterday, and she was so kind and easy to get along with... but I feel like what she did to my hair was ridiculous. I didn't get a good look at my hair the entire session and towards the end, she didn't show me the back or anything. The front "appeared" fine.. not exactly what I asked for but I expected that since I have hair that's harder to lift. My complaints are to how short and uneven she cut my hair... I specifically stated I wanted a cut underneath my boobs and obviously in the pic, it's way shorter than that. I specifically stated I want a straight cut in the back and just a few layers to frame my face in the front!! But look at this!! It's so choppy and uneven! I have hair in the back area that was cut to this short length which looks ugly! On top of that, I noticed when I got home a "patch" of my hair on my right side that did not look blended. My left side was blended!! Pic for reference. I had long, nice hair coming into this appt and trusted that she knew what she was doing because I was going to get so much taken off.. but for her to cut off even more without me knowing truly upsets me... and the haircut itself. I'm so disappointed!! Now that I'm looking at these pics, I don't see any changes except for the top of my head. I expected my ends to be lighter because they were already light coming to this appt.. but nope! I wish I would've saw all this before leaving the salon but I knew it was super bowl Sunday and I knew she wanted to go home and be with her family since her husband was waiting for her too.. I felt bad already being there till ~4PM.. but after getting a good look at everything, I'm so disappointed!!

I didn't feel awkward at all even though it was my first time and the girls were all very upbeat and talkative (which I love). Scheduling the appointment was easy and I did it over the phone. They have good COVID-19 procedures and the salon was clearly clean and well kept. Now for the most important part... I had gone in with hip length hair and wanted a drastic change after being in quarantine for so long. My hair is 2c wavy/curly, so I'm always pretty hesitant about letting people cut my hair, but Karatrina put me at ease by going over my style goals at the start of the appointment. I wanted shoulder length hair so it would be easier for me to manage my hair. She explained what she was doing at each point and also shared stuff about her own life. I was very comfortable and felt like I have been going to this salon for years. I ended up styling my hair myself when I got home because curly hair is just tricky to style, but she did diffuse my hair so I didn't leave with wet hair! I am more than pleased with my hair! I love the lightweight feel of it! Thank you Karatrina! I'll be setting up another appointment with you when my hair needs another cut!

I mostly chose this…read moreplace due to the convenience of scheduling an appointment online, but the reviews were also promising. The lady who trimmed my hair did a decent job and was nice. My review, however, is for an atrocious experience I had with the owner, Brandi Wilson. My sister's first time at Envy didn't go as well as mine. Someone there attempted a balayage that... Well, let's just say she's had to spend hundreds of dollars correcting at other salons. Unsure of how the refund process works, she took me with her to speak with the manager about it. Ms. Wilson was with a client when we walked in. Awkwardly, my sister had to explain her situation while Ms. Wilson washed another lady's hair. She barely looked at us and acted like we were an annoying distraction from her work. Nevertheless, my sister kindly explained that the stylist didn't use the freehand painting technique that one uses for a proper balayage. Instead, she used foils from root to tip, all over, which resulted in chunky highlights that didn't naturally blend in. It was not a balayage in any way, shape, or form. (Picture attached.) Ms. Wilson saw that picture and didn't see anything wrong with it. She responded, first, with a lecture on what balayage is in an effort to discredit us - with misinformation, no less. She said balayage "isn't necessarily a technique" - no, it is a technique. That's literally what it is, what makes it special in the first place - the unique application. The more she talked about it, the more ignorant and patronizing she came across. She told us we have to talk to the stylist and that she could give us the stylist's number. All well and good. But then she left us standing there and continued picking apart my sister's complaint. She kept saying unhelpful, inflammatory things like, "Well if you'd talked to [the stylist] first maybe she would've fixed your hair for free." I don't know if she was in a bad mood or what, but she wanted to argue. Understandably I was irritated by this, but I stayed calm. I said we didn't want the original stylist to fix my sister's hair. Ms. Wilson acted like she had been personally attacked. She raised her voice and became visibly angry, demanding, "What do you want me to do?" I tried to say we just wanted the stylist's number but she kept talking over me. It made us very uncomfortable, so I had to tell her to chill. She seriously needed to calm down; there was no need for her to get defensive and escalate the situation. Instead, she lost it. She started yelling. She told us to leave before she called the police. She shouted, and I quote, "Exit my fricken business!" I was beyond done and going to leave, but we still needed the stylist's number for a refund. So I asked her, calmly, "Could you please give us [the stylist's] contact information?" I thought it was a reasonable request. Still enraged, she snapped, "You know what? Find it online." (We have this exchange on video, by the way.) Admittedly I did call her a name right before I left, but it was my only act of aggression in the whole mess and, frankly, she deserved it after the way she treated us. I will be doing what Ms. Wilson said and staying out of her "fricken" business for good. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid Envy as well. There are better salons in the area that are professional, friendly, and highly skilled - Tease and Ross Michaels comes to mind. Ms. Wilson needs to work on basic customer service skills because this does not bode well for any business. As the owner you represent your entire salon, your staff - even if they are independent contractors. You need to treat customers with care and respect. Don't be condescending. Don't make excuses. A little empathy goes a long way. Doing a little research on balayage wouldn't hurt, either.

What the? THREE years since my initial review of Tracy? I should just leave well enough alone--but…read moreI can't I tell ya, I just can't. Have you ever seen hair salon scenes in movies and TV shows where the customer and the hair stylist are gabbing and carrying on like close friends? My wife and I live that scene every time Tracy cuts our hair. Not both at the same time, of course. We do have our separate/back-to-back appointments. But that's also a cool thing about Tracy: during our block of time we both get to enjoy gabbing with her but for each of us it's a slightly different experience. But first, a bit of backtrack. In the ensuing four years since my review, Tracy's gotten to know our heads of hair very well. I think with me, her question, "So what are we doing with your hair today? The same thing?" is ceremonial. She knows my hair so well that I, as near-sighted as I am, don't have to don my eyeglasses to check out the cut until after she's done. It's always perfect. The true test of her perfection is the following morning after I've washed and blown dry my hair. The style and shape are perfect--exactly the way I like it. Every single cut. Which amazes me because Tracy and I get into some farflung conversations about food & cooking, movies, TV, books, and some politics. While moving through all these different subjects she maintains complete focus on the haircut. I hear her talking to my wife about similar subjects while giving her the same, beautiful cut each time. OK, she's a bit more experimental with my wife, trying a slightly different style or length, using a product, giving my wife tips on how to use that product and other tricks for getting her hair to maintain its same look and shape every morning. I of course need no such coaching, not with my shorter hair. And besides, with the way Tracy cuts my man hair, I could let it air dry, look in the mirror and smile, "Perfect." We've learned much about Tracy as she's learned about us these past four years. She's a warm and truly good person and man! Does she know a lot about all kinds of stuff as well as being highly skilled in other professional areas. It's always a joy to visit with her. We make a point of scheduling our back to back appointments weeks in advance because she only works Saturdays. It's kind of like going to a Saturday movie matinee every few weeks--but the three of us are in the movie.
