She was warm, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. She handled our group with ease, anticipated our needs, and made us all feel welcome. Outstanding service like Julia's is what turns a good meal into a great experience. Thank you, Julia--we'll definitely be back! The food was every bit as impressive as the service. Everything our group ordered was prepared well and served hot. The burgers were cooked exactly as requested and were absolutely delicious. I chose the grilled chicken with vegetables instead of fries--a healthier option--and it was tender, flavorful, and satisfying. One person in our party ordered the sturgeon special and couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Then came the dessert tray...wow! There were so many tempting choices that it was hard to decide. I had the berry layered cake, which was moist, flavorful, and the perfect finish to the meal. Another person chose the cheesecake, and the generous slice was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The food runner said he would go back and ask the kitchen, and once again - we never saw him after that. I finally just ate it as is because I was hungry! Ava apologized several times and even said how she spoke to the kitchen herself when placing the order. It really put a damper on the night for me. :(

We had the Baby back ribs plus two meat platter. We actually added a third meat for $4 more. Besides the baby backs, we had brisket, chopped pork, and burnt ends. All of the meats were fantastic! For sides we had the Wilbur Beans and red skin mashed potatoes, along with the pickled onions and hell fire pickles. We love them all. I love going into Dave's and walking around the restaurant looking at all of the cool vintage signs and pictures hanging on the walls. The pictures of Dave in front of all the old historic bbq joints all over the country are really cool too. Stop in at Famous Dave's in Rockford and have a great meal like we did.
