This place is living on its reputation. We haven't lived in Rockford for years. It hasn't changed at all and that's bad. It's run down. It looks pretty bleak when you walk in. As to the food, once again it's unchanged. I ordered the salad bar and my wife had the prime rib sandwich. The salad bar is legit but it's not on the Scoreboard menu and it's $17 these days. My wife's sandwich had lots of onion and mushrooms filler. The upgraded onion strings were good though. We used to love the place but now it's just okay at best. Too bad. read more

I can't believe the cheapness of the food I was served today. I order a steak sandwich on hoagie roll for 14.99. description was that it had onions, red peppers and American cheese. The steak was terribly greasy, really small not even bite sized pieces. Then, the kicker was, they used Kraft processed slice. Technically classified as cheese, but not on. $15 sandwich! That is grilled cheese at home cheese, not eating out cheese! I couldn't even finish my sandwich due to the greasiness of the meat pieces mixed with the melting blob of chemical 'cheese'. I don't eat out nearly as often as I did a year or two ago, it's just getting too expensive. So when I do, I only spend my money on places with really good food. It will be a long time until I go to Scoreboard again! Not with my hard-earned dollars! read more

Covid precautions are non-existent. Cleanliness is non-existent. Health Dept needs to come in there.... Food is ok. Music is pretty good. Large TVs make it a great place for sports- SCOREBAR. BUT the lack of concern for health overrides anything good about it. read more

The food all tastes like reheated frozen food, and it's expensive. I think our order has been wrong both times we have been there. The service, however, has always been good, and I don't think the issue with orders has been on them. Ordered chix wings and a couple were rather chewy and not fully cooked. I partially ate both and told the server. She said she'd replace them. Soon after a male manager came and said he thought it was a tendon and it wasn't uncooked. I looked at him funny and said i know how chewy chicken is when it's not properly cooked. He said that he would be back. Upon his return, he brought me the pieces that were half eaten, and said they were refried and he set them in front of me. They looked terrible. I couldn't believe a manager at Scoreboard, an extension of the Hoffman House, would do such an unsanitary thing. I told the server what he did, and she said her intent was to replace them. I told her that would be the appropriate thing to do. She said he wasn't new. I told her he needs more training. If i was treated like this, one can only imagine what goes on behind those closed doors in the kitchen at Scoreboard and The Hoffman House. SMH. read more

We have been coming to the Scoreboard for years, and have loved the place. Unfortunately, the place has gone downhill I would say, over the last six months. They have lost some of their great servers, and the new ones seemed lax and less attentive. The cleanliness has gone downhill also. They used to clean tables with a disinfectant spray, now just a quick wipedown with a wet cloth, pushing crumbs to the floor. The food has been hit and miss. Sometimes hot, sometimes cool. Its still a great place to meet and watch the game, but some improvement and re-training is needed. read more

The drinks tasted good once we got them. One of the bartenders was friendly although her counterpart seemed to not want to be there. She kept forgetting our lemons and limes for our drinks and walked by us a bunch or times while our glasses sat empty. The Patty Melts we had were under cooked and the onions rings were fair. Not real impressed with them at all. They had 2 waitress stations they had to make drinks for besides waiting on all of the people (like us) who were sitting at the bar. One station was for the bar area and the other was for the adjoining restaurant. They also had to go all the way into the kitchen to get the food for the bar customers which my wife and I thought was a bit much for them to do with all the other stuff they had to do. It also has a gambling machine section we didn't use. Overall I felt the 2 girls had too much to handle considering it is a pretty good size bar. I have no idea how big the restaurant is but there was a lot of waitresses coming to the wait station. I would say they needed a 3rd girl there to handle the restaurant side to make it more efficient. I give this place 2 1/2 stars. read more

Horrible food! Waitress wasn't aware of menu. Asked for the lunch portion but was charged the dinner price! Asked to substitute the fries for onion rings, ended up getting served both & was charged $6 extra for the onion rings, which were soggy!!! The manager tried to correct our bill & took $8 off. Not enough considering all the mistakes! Oh and this is a sports bar right?! Not one employee could get the Cub game on a TV, which they have like 25 TV's there!! MMM. Ridiculous! Debated between 3-4 stars. Give it four because it is so close to our home-it is always the place for a nitecap on the way home. We usually have our Friday night fish fry, and while it is good, it has become too expensive. $16.99 for broiled cod-really. I can get better cod at the American Legion for $8.50-which I will put up against anything in this city. Beers are $3.75 and a peppermint on rocks for an after dinner drink is $9.00 YIKES. We were there last night for less that two hours and had a bill over $100.00 with tip. Waitresses are very efficient and we never go waiting for a drink. read more

This was good at one point...this last visit was totally horrible...the food sucked, horrible service the waitress handed all of our food to one person and we had to hand it around the table then brought out the food wrong then when we ordered no cheese and the burger had cheese she literally opened the burger to check WTH. We went here for the first time today. Great sports bar in Rockford with a large selection of beers, wine and cocktails!!! We enjoyed their Wednesday 50 cent wing special, 6-8 flavors to choose from. We went with hot and teriyaki, they came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The wings were great, they were right out of the oven. Our bartender Taylour was great, recommending some bar favorites and our drinks were always full!! Great sports bar with excellent service, we'll definitely be back. read more
