This was okay. I thought the yelp photos made it look cooler and bigger than it was. The Parlor is at the end of the main drag in Dobbs Ferry. We stopped in here after an errand journey, around 5pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. By the time we left, it was packed. Vibe: Decidingly UN-Westchester. It was most definitely aiming for Williamsburg hipster feels, with fake grunge and graffiti everywhere, which was both try-too-hard and kind of refreshing for this area? The Food: The menu is mostly pizza with a few salads and a couple very random miscellaneous items like a 9 inch hot dog and egg rolls. There is also an extensive cocktail list. Note: Be prepared to listen to a five minute spiel if you ask about any menu item. Pizza: Idk I guess I'm supposed to be more impressed but I've lived in New York too long and have had some pretty amazing pizzas. This is just fine. It's Neapolitan style. Also it's pretty small. Oh and they do the try-too-hard thing here too and serve it whole with scissors to cut it with. Okay. However, the Westchester pizza scene is pretty lacking so all things considered, a welcome and needed addition, especially if you live in town. Parlor Pockets: This was really an odd menu item for a pizza place, esp for dinner. It was essentially two soft boiled eggs smeared in ricotta and truffle oil under bread. I love me a soft boiled egg cooked perfectly and they did a good job here although the truffle was a bit overwhelming. Mushroom Moussaka: App special of the day. It was basically mushrooms wrapped in different mushrooms and topped with more different mushrooms. It was decent if a bit boring and small. Idk on the whole I really wasn't feeling this place. The combo of mushrooms, truffle eggs, and pizza frankly left me feeling pretty queasy, and the dash of bravado the food accompanied was a bit ill-suited for my palette. I'd go back if I was in the area but only if someone else wanted to. Will say when we left, most of the tables were occupied by families, and this seems like a very good middle-ground for parents craving some adult ambience and kids who want pizza night.

Nice service, ambiance was a little weird. Drink was okay nothing special - food was honestly not that good. Pizza we got was a weird flavor tastes nothing like Hawaiian. Fries were extra toasted wedges with no flavor. Brussel spouts were the best part of the meal. Would not come here again bc the food taste is something I already forgot about.

The Parlor: the most happening restaurant on Dobbs Ferry downtown strip. We ate outside, after being marginally late for a same day reservation. We were very pleased with the service (other than the especially long wait time for our main course) our appetizer came quickly and we were surprised by the presentation -- even more so by the dish! Fried Brussel Sprout cereal was absolutely fantastic. Something we certainly hadn't had before, if you enjoy tasty food and are open to trying something different The Parol is happy to re-introduce these family friendly favorites. Of course we had a pizza for the main dish, it's a must have here. Traditionally cut-it-yourself style the Bianca and Sausage pies served on round metal trays. We ended up modifying the Sausage because it is on the "white" menu, we added a red sauce to it.. then he didn't love the sauce in the end but it was good. The Bianca was great. Drinks: main lunch IPA and doctors something with ginger beer which I can say is not too much alcohol. Great taste, small little glass for a beer. Try it and enjoy it, outside seating was available on the street.

Go here for incredible wood fired pizza, totally fun cocktails and tasty small plates. The Parlor blends simple ingredients to create unexpected plates like brussel sprouts with Rice Krispies. Try an a la mode "brookie" (brownie-cookie hybrid) for dessert. Service is very attentive, friendly, full of smart recommendations and quite accommodating when making requests. Self-serve coat check wall at entry. Colorful graffiti-grunge decor juxtaposes the high quality food. Comfortable seating options with mood lighting just right. With their delicious reputation, it can fill up fast so arrive early-ish or just make a reservation. Outdoor dining available and encouraged in warmer months.

Nice afternoon spot to dine with friends! Trendy-ish interior makes for cute photo-ops. Prices aren't extravagant, but less than affordable which is on-par with everything else in the County. Menu is interesting, diverse, and very delicious which is made even better by the satisfactory food preparation/cooking... I doubt you will ever find yourself sending a meal back here. It's a cute place. If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. In the spirit of being "trendy", you'll appreciate the creative dish & drink names (as I will include in the photos). a

I happen to like chef Di Bari's inventive dishes have been to all four of his establishments - The Cookery, The Parlor, Rare Bit (under different ownership now) and Eugenes Diner (closed) . Haven't been to the Parlor since pre pandemic days. I arrived about 8:45PM, not very busy. I was seated immediately, took a couple of minutes to decide on a brew and meal. I decided on two appetizers and dessert. Home made crusty bread with ricotta & honey or maple syrup, foie gras mouse filled cannoli with caramelized onion and cheese cake for dessert. The ricotta so smooth and velvety. Now the cannoli is a whole other experience, god, should have ordered a dozen to go. Mouse, fluffy, just melts in your mouth, almost orgasmic. After that cannoli nothing else mattered. Cheese cake was good. I believe the items I ordered were from the daily specials, so if you're interested in the cannoli, call.

Came here on a Friday with some friends for restaurant week. We got the crispy Brussels sprouts which were out of this word !!!!!! Their gluten free crust was nice and chewy, definitely one of the better GF pizza doughs I've had.

Another fabulous lunch at the parlor. I'm so glad I've given this restaurant a second chance! We had to start off with parlor pockets, and I got a burger and my husband got the fried chicken sandwich. The parlor pockets were outstanding, the perfect doughy cup to a soft boiled egg with wonderfully warm ricotta. Delicious! The burger I got was amazing. So much flavor and I love the Yum sauce on top! The Fried chicken sandwich was really crisp, with a great maple syrup Sriracha kick! Our waiter was outstanding, very personable and offered up recommendations. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch. We will be back!

We try to stop at the Parlor every time we drive upstate from the city. The Neapolitan pizzas are fantastic and rival some of the best in the city. The Parlor has a seasonal menu, so there are always new things to try when we visit. This time we ordered a couple pizzas and sides. The smashed fries were crispy roasted wedges that I could eat all day. The classic Margherita pizza is a must, with its perfectly charred, chewy crust. The Lemonator pizza was quite unique, with cured lemons, mozzarella, basil, parm, and lemon oil. It reminded me of pasta al lemone, but in pizza form. I would definitely order it again. The Parlor will always be a pit stop on NY road trips. I can't miss the chance to get more of those pizzas!

The Parlor is a reasonable choice for those with kids looking for an accommodating option for lunch or an early dinner. The waitstaff and clientele are understanding of young, messy guests and the space is built to absurd rogue pizza slices dropping to the floor. Bathrooms are covered in kitschy graffiti, which is cool, but need a deep cleaning, which is not. On a recent visit we ordered four different pizzas - and couldn't really tell the difference between any of them. Pizzas are priced for sharing but arrive sized for a medium-sized kid. Tatter tots were tasty.

It's been closed for more than two months now, due to an alleged electrical problem. (Hard to believe that would take so long to fix.) Does anyone know whether it will re-open?
