Tony's has the best pizza in the Rivertown. On top of that, the salads, sandwiches, soups, and pasta dishes are top notch. I have never had a bad meal there. Best of all is the customer service. Tony knows his customer, and he goes out of his way to take care of his customers. It's always easy going into Tony's. I highly recommend Tony's. read more

Been wanting to try legit NY pizza and I think I went to the right place! Place is super small but that's the only negative I found. Got 2 slices of pizza, one cheese one pepperoni and both were perfect! Bottom was crisp but not overdone, nicely seasoned crust, cheese and sauce was just right. I was very happy! read more

Very good pizza. We were coming home from the Yankee game and this place gives you NYC pizza without having to trek into the City. Not many tables, more of an informal spot, but the owner is right there cooking delicious Brooklyn style pizza. read more

The good: Tony's offers a classic, extensive menu of pizzeria staples -- everything from pizza and pasta to veal and wedges. The penne vodka was average; I've had (much) better and worse from other nearby pizza/pasta shops. The location is also quite convenient (the small shop sits at the top of Main St) and delivery is available through Grubhub/Doordash/Uber Eats/etc. Also, they're open pretty late. The bad: The service!! The crazy wait times that many have complained about is no joke! The first time I ordered from here, service was quite prompt. Turns out I musta been lucky, because the next several times I ordered the wait (even at off-peak times) was unusually long. Finally, the side salad I received with one of my entrees was disgusting; vegetables clearly old, dirty, and not even cut up properly. The tomatoes had stems! C'mon...that's a rookie mistake. read more

2/21/2024 Absolutely horrible. waited 2 hours for my food, had to call after 1.5 hours for them to say, " it was on the way". 30 minutes later it arrived everything was cold; the burger bread was soggy from sitting the patty was cold. My fried raviolis were cold as well. and I never got my coke. I called back to ask for a refund and was denied, so $30 went right into the trash. please if you read this don't waste your time. The Owner should refund me, but whoever was running the place that day, failed at his job. read more

Was visiting from California with my family for a medical conference and looking for a true NY pizza experience. I wasn't expecting much, being outside in the suburbs, but let me tell you Tony's absolutely delivered. The pizza was EXCELLENT, service was above and beyond, and the owner went out of his way to make sure my 6yo daughter, who is in a wheelchair, was accommodated with the seating. I will say there was only enough seating for a family or two, but we were lucky enough to secure a table. We also got some warm, fresh cookies for the hell of it. Also delicious. Loved this place so much I am leaving a review over a year later. If I ever get back to New York, I'm heading here ASAP. read more

Recently moved in to The Village of Irvington. Was told by some neighbors to try Tony's. I was not disappointed. There aren't very many places I have found a Chef Salad on the menu these days and Tony's was Fantastic. Full of fresh meats and cheese. Black olives, Egg and cucumber with nicely chopped lettuce. The Pizza and wings are Great as well. I love to support local and am so happy I have a neighborhood pizzeria that checks all the boxes. Very friendly staff made me feel welcome to the Village. A Must try when you're in the area. read more

I hadn't had much to eat all day and was eager to get my late night food fix on a Sunday. My usual pizza place was closed so I ordered delivery from Tony's. Their homemade mozzarella sticks were great. Usually, mozzarella sticks are basically a commodity; you can't go wrong with melted cheese and fried dough, but they are nothing to write home about. Tony's version definitely takes this dish up a notch. I loved the extra crispiness and accompanying marinara sauce. I also ordered a plain personal pizza. For a personal size, the pizza was quite large. It had classic New York style slices. I enjoyed it. The penne vodka was also very good. It included onions and had a slightly smoky flavor to it. Good size portion as well. Very grateful this place was open for my late night feast! read more

Tony's, located in the quaint town of Irvington, NY is everything you'd want in a good NY pizzeria! Their cheese pie is to die for with an excellent dough, quality cheese, and a nice sauce to top off a great pie! I'd also recommend anything meat on their pies as the meats are salty and a nice quality! The quaint location of Irvington, NY begs for a visit if nothing else! read more

We are sad we live so far. Otherwise Tony's would be our go to for authentic New York pizza. We are glad we stopped for a slice on our road trip home. Both my pepperoni and my husbands chicken ranch were perfectly cooked. The only downside was there was no bathroom for the travelers! If you are looking for no frills , perfectly cooked pizza Tony's is your spot! read more

Ordered delivery to a local Marriot hotel. Delivered on time by a nice fella. Had a large cheese with sausage mushroom and onions. It was soooo good! Also ordered hot Buffalo wings with extra bleu cheese. Wonderful taste and spice. Although the wings weren't Buffalo style with the crispy skin the wings had nice hotness and had a breading of sorts that really captured the sauce. Nice! I recommend highly. read more

We used to love this place and we used to order from them all the time. But lately, delivery and the food has been subpar. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and what we got was a half pepperoni pie. It's so easy to find GF pizza dough, or make it, yet most places don't offer GF pizza or buns. More importantly, not everyone can make one that's tasty and can hold up to a good sauce. I have to admit, vacationing here for a month, 15 days in, I'm super impressed with all the gluten free, and grass-fed beef options. This however is the first time I'm getting pizza. Realizing that Yom Kippur Havdala ends at 7ish on the West Coast where my Synagogue is, and that meant 10PM here, I was not prepared and NEEDED a meal waiting after fasting the last 25ish hours. (I had one tea to support my teaching at 9am, and only sips of water all day.) Not only was my 10 inch pizza enough, the sauce and toppings were generous and my crust held up like a champ!! And here's the coolest part - I needed my pizza to arrive within a 15 minute window between services, and it did!! Now I would not expect that every time; traffic, volume of orders could have easily got in the way. What I was really impressed by was the intention! If they were 15 minutes late, would could I do - it's Pizza!! And well with it! I may have another before I leave at the end of the month! Thanks biz owner and my friendly driver! read more

We paid extra for a margarita pizza and we got a cheese pizza with chopped basil on it. While i was waiting i saw them take my pizza out of the oven, put it in the box, left the box open and answered the phone for 5 mins until someone else had to come and finish the pizza. By the time we got home we had to reheat it. Disappointed and frustrated that we didn't get the pizza we expected. read more

After living in NYC for a year and having easy access to the best pizza around, I was really not excited about getting pizza up here in the burbs. I'm definitely no pizza connoisseur, but I just thought why waste time on pizza that isn't the best? Normally I'm not into plain cheese slices, but boy am I glad we ordered regular plain old cheese pizza. Also, the chicken tenders (or tendies as my bf calls them) are also fantastic. And they have exactly the type of French fries I love. We've been ordering from these guys all covid long, and that isn't going to stop anytime soon. Also, their tiramisu is on point. As are apparently their Philly cheese steaks (haven't tried it myself, too busy filling up on tendies and pizza). You know how some people gain the freshman 15? We were staying nearby @ the Sheraton - Tarrytown. Front Desk Associate - "Edouardo" suggested that we order from this place; Not to many options existed. (1) Fast - Great Delivery Service; (2) Fresh / Tasty - Everything Arrived Hot & Fresh; (3) Our Pizza Tasted Great! We opened a new Irvington business/studio (antiques) in May about a block from Tony's. I'm a 5th generation NYer from the same BLOCK in Manhattan...pizza is in my blood. Tony's is a GEM. The pizza awesome, everyone is always friendly/smiling, and yes sometimes THEY HAVE FRESH COOKIES! The MAC slice? Dear God, that slice is delicious. I'm also a youth track coach and I couldn't help but notice all the kids who wrote letters/drew pictures for Tony...it speaks volumes to the type of community person he is. Ok.... so this was an order for delivery and I was disappointed all the way around. I chose this place based on the high rating but it did not live up to it for me. To start, the order took more than an hour to be delivered and we were a quarter of a mile away. It probably would have taken longer so thank goodness we called and then we were told it's about to be on its way. Food would have probably been good if not barely lukewarm. Cheese on chicken parm sub was already no longer melted. Sub was huge to be fair. Pepperoni roll also needed reheating. Marinara sauce was the best part. Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be pretty good for a slice. But the last few times I visited I was sadly disappointed pizza was not fresh and tested like dollar pizza .I recommend they keep the pizza fresh even if that means tossing unsold pizza after hours In The window.cmon Tony your better than this. read more

Lovely lovely place that makes you love this village a little bit more. Tony is always there, always so friendly and helpful. The pizza and penne with vodka sauce are so tasty. The homemade mozzarella squares are so so delicious (how did I not know about this earlier!). This place adds a lot of warmth to the already charming village. This pizzeria experience was a large delivery order. Making the order was quick and easy online. I made a call to inform them that my location would be in a basketball court. The call was easy. They accepted the change of location with no issues. The delivery estimate time was a little over an hour. Which makes sense. It was an order for 12 people, most of them men with large appetites. The order arrived within 45 minutes. Being that it was my first time ordering from this restaurant I was unaware of the tipping process. So I was going to tip the delivery man in cash, he was honest and made us aware that he would already be tipped being that it was charged in the order. This was the best large order experience I've ever had. Somehow all of the food was hot and delicious. The food was packed neatly and accordingly. Thank you Tonys Pizza! You are given bread to start which is definitively moreish. You want to keep eating. I ordered the scarpariello calamari and the seafood risotto and a Seltzer water. Food came pretty quick. Liked the calamari, crunchy, lemony, the sausage was tasty. Only thing missing was a little bit of heat. Pretty big portion. Took it home. Reheats pretty good in air fryer. The seafood risotto was good but needed hot sauce and lemon juice. Lots of mussels, shrimp and clams. Can be a shareable dish but very large portion. Overall good. Won't be disappointed.

The atmosphere was cozy, casual, and somewhat romantic. Service was quick and staff were friendly. But, I don't think staff were as knowledgeable about the menu. I asked for some recommendations and favorites re: the pasta dishes and they pretty much said everything was good. That's fine. Was just hoping for some sort of follow up (4 out of 5). Overall, had mixed feelings about the food: The smoked ricotta honey with grilled bread was okay. The grilled bread came with black char, which didn't work for me. Ricotta and honey are subtle flavors and the char quickly overpowered them. The bread was good, but I think it would've been better toasted, not charred/burnt. That way the nutty flavors from a toasted bread can complement the honey/ricotta better. For the price tag (18) on a simple starter, it was disappointing. (2 out of 5 stars) Crispy cauliflower. A bit too salty after the first few bites--the saltiness kind of lingered in your mouth. Wish there was a more seafood. Clams didn't come in their shells. Expected more visible lumps of crab meat and calamari. Other than the shrimp, the seafood bits were much smaller and reminded me of frozen mixed seafood packaging. (3 out of 5) I thought the pappardelle was very good. Good, balanced flavor. Not too salty. Good acid. Good crisp and change in texture from the breadcrumbs that came with the dish. It lacked the depth of flavor that the fettuccini nero had. I was told this was a white sauce dish, which made me think it was going to be more of a creamy dish, but it wasn't. Definitely more of a butter/oil based dish. Some creaminess from the Parmesan I guess. Anyways, I had a delicious first few bites. (4 out of 5)

Of note, there were no apologies for the poor service or even the offer of a drink on the house to compensate for the delay. After dining there several times, they are now crossed off the list.
