Appetizer on special: baked pears, burrata, prosciutto and more: fabulous

Our first visit--very impressed! All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, wine was very good, Service very attentive. We liked how they keep the menu small in order to have everything freshly prepared. Pictured is the special appetizer which was to die for. We will be back again soon!

Absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Right in the heart of Irvington, Mambo Italiano is a beautiful Italian caffe/dinner spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make everything in-house, and boy is it good! I have dined both for lunch and dinner, and neither disappointed. It's a small, friendly staff, and they cultivate a family-like vibe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is warm and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Despite how good it is, I have never struggled to get a table (as someone who hates waiting that is a huge plus for me). Their menu is the perfect length, and you just cannot go wrong. We were greeted with fresh bread, and a delicious butter with some sort of pepper or cheesy mix-in. Tonight, our table enjoyed the fettuccine, orecchiette, and the braised pork -- all of which were fabulous. The portions are fairly big, too, so we got a second meal out of it! I paired my meal with their sangria, which is a white wine sangria. Not what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it. Very light and fruity. After dinner we enjoyed their cheesecake, which is rich yet fluffy and comes with a sort of a thin berry compote/jelly layer on top. We also had a homemade pistachio gelato. I believe it is a special this week, so get it while you still can! Seriously, I've never understood the hype behind pistachio ice cream but this was to die for. I would've purchased a whole tub. We were taken care of by both the server and who I believe to be the owner, though possibly she is just a manager. I felt truly cared for as a guest and attended to. It was a beautiful experience. The pricing is not cheap, necessarily, but I'd be happy to pay more even for the quality of the ingredients, cooking, dining atmosphere, and service. My only note is I would've loved a few craft cocktail options! But I didn't feel at all like they were lacking without it.

I could start by writing about how I met Mambo Italiano's owner, but I'll veered off too much. But do know, the lady behind the name is Danielle Berarducci- a no-nonsense, firecracker who is clever in her own right when it comes to homemade breads, desserts, go-getter attitude, of course food and so much more. Located on Main St. in Irvington, NY, she and her business partner, Ana- who has Italian roots, took up the previous That Family Feeling Shop and turned Mambo into a comfy, sit-back, friendly restaurant. The space has beige walls, wood notes and a black accent wall by their counter+stools. And can we talk about the playlist? It's a lot of 60s, 70s and 80s Soul and Funk. The kitchen side of the counter functions as their easy-to-reach area for their most used condiments such as their herbs, garlic and citrus. Two of my ex co-teachers and I came for dinner to unwind and catch up on a Friday before my winter recess break. She started us with a silky ricotta(?) and her homemade bread. And that olive oil. Geeez. Sublime. Another starter was a warm bread basket with like yeasty rolls and a delicious sun dried+ tomato+basil(?) butter. So gorgeous in the mouth with her homemade bread- we joked we wanted to take tankfuls of it home! Between my friend's salad with grilled chicken, my other friend's grilled salmon+sautéed spinach+ couscous and my candy-tasting roasted sweet potato topped with my fave green arugula and ricotta(?)- everything and I mean everything was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals to the fullest. I personally can't wait to return. The owner made her dream come true. She and her business partner and the server all work harmoniously and did not miss a beat. It's a gathering spot, a romantic spot if you want it to be or whatever the mood you're into, this is the spot.

Really enjoyed our time there. The lasagna was juicy and tasty, the escargot special was amazing, the pistachio ice cream was the best ice cream I've head in a while, very creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. We had a very attentive server who helped us make great food choices.

Their sandwiches are toasted on this great panini like bread and you definitely leave feeling full. The staff are friendly and was patient while I looked over the menu. I ended up getting the brisket sandwich which came with a bag of chips (around $16). I love how this area is located in this quaint village of hastings on Hudson. The food was very tasty. The brisket sandwich had succulent meat that fell apart amid a bed of cheddar and a honey barbecue sauce. The portions to me are kinda big so I ate half for lunch and the other for dinner.

After being greeted with a smile by Antonio one of the twin brothers who own the shop I ordered. The owners can't be nicer and show a real love of food. My wife got an eggplant wrap with roasted red peppers and I got the Roast Beast a roastbeef on garlic chiabatta, both were delicious. The eggplant paper thin and the housemade roastbeef rare and super tender. The sandwiches were very large, but after eating half we both continued to eat the whole sandwich. I also had their potato salad and this had the right consistency and seasoning. They also have some nice desserts, some homemade some from good sources. I asked about their breakfast being good, "i am making homemade English muffins for the morning" The tiny space with a few tables has Italian products that are well chosen breadsticks, pasta, etc. Oh the sandwiches come with your choice of flavors. We are no longer skeptical and will be back soon.

I had enjoyed their sandwiches in the past, especially the One Upper, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, about two and a half hours after eating the sandwich, I became sick and vomited multiple times. The Aristocrat breakfast sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day, and I believe it was what made me sick. The following day, I was dealing with significant stomach pain from vomiting so much. My mom called the restaurant and spoke with Marisa, who apologized and offered me a free sandwich. While I appreciated the apology, a free sandwich didn't make up for how sick I became. During the conversation, Marisa suggested that the issue may have been unrelated to the food. Given that the sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day and I don't have any known food allergies, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. It's disappointing because I expected the same quality I remembered, but this experience was the complete opposite. It will be a while before I feel comfortable returning.

He and his friend both enjoyed the food (although he made sure to mention that it wasn't nearly as good as Katz's, which I completely agree with). He thought that the restaurant itself was clean and nice enough. But then the fun part happened. He tried to tip 20% on his lunch bill, asking the waiter to round to the total from the $50 check to $60 total The waiter decided that meant adding a $60 TIP to the order and running the credit card at $110 for their lunch. Simple mistake, maybe. We apparently will never know, because Liebman's has never called back after two different attempts to speak with management to rectify the situation. We were told that there was no manager there twice, but assured that we would receive a call back shortly. Nothing, apparently. Is Liebman's an establishment that targets the elderly and figures that they can get away with it because sometimes people don't look at what they're signing. Who knows? Not me, because no-one from Liebman's decided that it was important to return multiple calls to figure that out. So, IF you go to this place, please check your bill and then check it again, because once you leave the restaurant, they seem to have no desire to explain why they charged you a 120% tip (or even attempt to keep you as a customer) Bonus fact: I waited three weeks to post this to give them every chance to do the right thing and have a manager reply.

We were there a little before opening and a small line had already formed. Once they opened, we took our time to figure out what to order. Most of the staff were really friendly. One of the guys was not pleasant. He seemed super annoyed with every customer and then we had to hear him complain to all of his coworkers about how he wasn't supposed to open that morning. I get it; no one wants to be in that position. However, all of the customers don't have to be subjected to the poor attitude, especially since this place is obviously popular due their social media presence. Other than this one sour apple, the rest of our experience was great! Giovanni's Italian Deli is an intimately sized sandwich shop in White Plains, New York. They are located in an area with other businesses and there is free parking shared among the nearby shops. The establishment doesn't have any indoor seating, although they do have a few chairs and table outside if you want to eat on site. We ordered a total of three sandwiches: - Joe Rogan - The Famous Bronx Godfather - The Summer Bruschetta All of the sandwiches were great. Definitely crafted well with generous portions on the inside of all of the sandwiches. We watched them make the mozzarella fresh while waiting to order and for our sandwiches to be made. The guy making the mozzarella, Johnny, even gave my family samples. He made a little small portion for our toddler. Truly an awesome experience with quality sandwiches. The Summer Bruschetta was my sandwich and I can only hope it becomes something permanent on their menu! It goes without saying that, aside from the one rude staff member, our first trip to Giovanni's Italian Deli was memorable. My husband was so happy about the "sangwheeches" and is already talking about how we'll have to fit another trip to White Plains during our next visit New York.
