After a night of crashing in the Nissan Rogue I rented when hotel rooms were nowhere to be found anywhere near Miami on Art Basel weekend and then staying in a cheap bare bones motel in Islamorada I decided to treat myself a little. Key West didn't seem like it was a cheap hotel type of place and Old Town's charms far outweighed the eastern part of the island where most of the lodging is to be found. Maybe it had something to do with me watching The White Lotus, too, what with the bright airiness of The Paradise Inn, the white and pastel palette and the classy sheen the place has. Fortunately, my stay here was far more chill and less dramatic than anything you'll see on The White Lotus. My neighbors here up in Michigan used to live on Simonton street, a few blocks from The Paradise Inn. Cindy wanted me to send pictures of her old house so I'd already acquainted myself with the street. The Paradise Inn looked so elegant and quaint it caught my eye. After lunch at La Grignote, a name I still don't know how to pronounce, I decided to see if The Paradise Inn had any single rooms. I was in luck! The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. $179 for the night but $30 of that was parking which is a hot commodity in Key West that can really add up. Not only that, but they had bicycle rentals on site which was really the way to go. It's all about bikes and golf carts in Key West. Check-in time wasn't until 3 and I dragged my weary ass in a little after 2, really needed a refreshing nap after two successive nights not getting the best sleep. I pled my case, hoping I could get in the room a bit early but prepared to be refused, reminding myself it was understandable if the room wasn't ready. The stars aligned and The Paradise Inn did me a big solid by letting me into my room before 3! (Your results may vary. I'm not trying to give any entitled Yelpers unrealistic expectations here.) My friendly desk clerk provided me with a paper map and a remote for the front gate and I was soon contentedly snoozing. Fortunately I had texted Cindy and she replied, telling me not to miss the early December sunset as the sunset viewing is stellar there so I set an alarm. My room was on the second floor, spotlessly clean and quiet. The whole place was very chill, despite being just a block from Duvall street. I rented my bike after awakening from my nap and I think it was due back at 10pm for a one day rate but again I was let slide a little, and granted permission to return the bike key first thing in the morning. I put some miles on that bike and soaked in the city. I wish I would have taken a dip in the Paradise Inn pool, which looked lovely, but the novelty of swimming in the ocean in December superseded that. Later I was tempted to take a midnight swim but looked at the rules and decided I shouldn't push my luck. Especially at someplace so quiet and drama free. I just watched the end of Monday Night Football instead. The cabins here look really top notch as well. Maybe one day I'll find myself back with others and we can rent one. read more

Sadly this Inn is not Paradise in many ways. Our room was adequate but we found the floors dirty, even after we asked the office to clean the floors. The AC unit was quite noisy as it cycled on and off. Room service was every other day unless you could convince them to bring fresh towels each day. The staff were very aloof and clearly needed training in guest services delivery. For this price point, there are many better options available nearby and I encourage you to read all reviews wherever you might land. We will not be back and we don't recommend this so-called "resort". read more

I have to rave about this hotel because I really feel like we found a hidden gem that has the best of all we wanted. When looking in Key West we quickly realized $500-700 a night for a hotel was more the norm so I was very happy to find this beautiful spot that is two blocks off Duval was only $250 a night. It's what I would consider a boutique hotel and is actually just several homes converted into hotel rooms. Our room was in the back near the pool - warning it was up a lot of stairs so for anyone with mobility issues, be sure to ask where your room is. The whole property gives lush tropical vibes. The pool is small but clean and has great chairs and towels. The breakfast is continental but has waffle machine and Starbucks coffee. We walked everywhere and the couple of times we ordered a Lyft were picked up quickly due to central area of the key. Beds were comfy and room was cold and quietly. Really enjoyed this week! read more

The office staff were very nice and the location is great. It's the outdated room and lack of care that is the issue. The floors were dirty and you had to have slippers/shoes next to your bed to walk around. There were no clocks on the nightstands. The shampoo/soap containers mounted in the shower area required you to push down then lift up, due to their age and wear and tear. The USB behind the lamp did not work and I had to plug in my phone behind the bed. The A/C unit put out cold air, but it did not remove the humidity. I look at the drain on the compressor, and not a drop was removed. Maybe that is a contributing factor to the floor feeling really dirty and sticky. Overall, it is really an outdated room. During my five night stay, the room is "serviced" every other day. The old towels were picked up and the bed was made. The new towels were just stacked on the bed instead of placed in the bathroom. My friends in two separate rooms all commented on the same things to me also. The grounds are well kept and the pool is nice. The pool towels in the bin by the pool are of a smaller size requiring the use of two towels. Thus, if you came late in the day, no towels. My friend went to the desk to ask for more and we were at the pool for an additional hour and no refreshment of the towels were made. So don't let the illusion of the beautiful tropical grounds let you think the rooms are the same way. read more

Paradise Inn is not a resort. Although the hotel grounds look inviting, the rooms were not worth the money. Our floor was extremely dirty. We asked to have it cleaned and our feet were still black. House keeping only came every two days and we had to go to the front desk to ask for more towels on the off days. Towels were dropped off either on the chair outside our room or on the desk inside the door. Even when our room was serviced, they still left the towels on a table instead of resetting them in the bathroom. The air conditioner was so loud, it was hard to sleep or hear the TV. There is no clock in the room but there is an espresso machine which is not ideal for a coffee machine. There is a nice large self serve coffee machine in the breakfast room but we were told by the lady at the front desk we couldn't come in to get it until 8:00am even though the office door was open at 7:00am. There is a $44 per day resort fee on top of the room cost. Parking and bike rentals are an additional fee. This hotel is not worth the price and customer service is lacking. We will not be back. read more

We recently stayed at the Paradise Inn for 5 nights. We like to stretch out so we went with a suite. The room itself was quite spacious and quiet (even being next to the pool). I don't really feel like this is a 4 star hotel by any means. Let me explain... Our room, while clean, needs a makeover. The bathrooms desperately need a renovation. It's very obvious that they keep caulking over the same areas and between that and the messy paint job, it's just bad. No offers to clean our rooms, bring fresh towels, additional water or more toilet paper EVER during our 5 nights. Yes I understand the COVID challenges but I didn't feel very taken care of. The pool area is nice, quite small, but fine for relaxing for a short time. The location is fine, about a 5-10 minute walk to good restaurants. If you're heading toward Mallory Square, you might want to Uber. With so many hotels and inns in Key West, I probably wouldn't stay at the Paradise Inn again. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad, I'm just kind of indifferent to it. read more

My Girlfriend found this cute Inn for our mini vacation in Key West. It is located one street behind Duvall and basically centered. It makes for a great location for browsing downtown because you're in the center of everything. The staff was very welcoming. The free breakfast had many options and was tasty each time. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and a nice reprieve. I recommend considering this place for your stay. The rooms are also very spacious for the price and the room size, paired with the adults only resort sold us over a Marriott or IHG property we normally stay with. read more

Stayed 3 nights. Night 1 was rough. The girl who checked us in didn't understand some questions but she was sweet. We had an issue with giant roaches and little bugs in our room. I tried explaining it to her. Ultimately a guy came to the room and asked what's up. I showed him the videos of the bugs. They sprayed the room (with our stuff there in the room). We were not offered another room or accommodations. We had to leave the room while they sprayed. I wouldn't stay here again. They didn't leave enough towels and wash clothes so we had to ask each day for them. One day they brought robes instead of wash rags and never returned with the wash rags. There was an additional $35 a day on top of what we paid on expedia. The guy Will who worked there our last 2 days was great. Location is nice. The pool is small but nice. Uber/Lyft always picked up in 2-3 minutes. read more

This review is in the time of COVID so the pros are that check in process is pretty easy and location is amazing. Love it and easy to walk or bike everywhere. We spoke with Sardor and he is very accommodating and nice. The price of $240/night is a little too expensive when we have to make our own beds, take out our own trash, and go to the office for toilet paper and towels. I feel like their protocols are great and very hygienic, but that they should have lowered cost. Location and the porches are really the big sell here. read more

It was a pleasure staying at this hotel. The property is gorgeous and clean. I love the cozy corner the hotel is on. The rooms were clean, they offer free continental breakfast and happy hour. What stood out the most despite the beautiful property and room was the staff. Tracy went above and beyond to help accommodate us. There was no wait to get our room key, Tracy gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary and with all these great pros we decided to stay an extra night. There were no rooms available the extra night we wanted to stay so they put us up in their sister property. Tracy look our luggages for us to the property so we wouldn't have to lug them around. The entire staff was great. We will definitely be back soon! Do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel! Location is great! 2 blocks from Duval. Not too fat, but not so close where you can hear the rowdy crowd. read more

WOW! We had the most incredible time staying at The Paradise Inn for a girls trip last week! Foster is an exceptional manager, we loved getting to know him and appreciated all the travel suggestions/tips he gave us from where to have yummy dinners, best beached to paddle board around and where to get the most delicious rum drinks! The hotel happy hour is wonderful because you get to know all of the other guests, the pool and hot tub are delightful, the beds and pillows are SUPER comfortable and the location of the hotel is awesome! We're totally booking again for next December, already looking forward to it! read more

Arrived @3:30pm after long drive. Was made to wait until 4 check-in. Came back at 4:01, told to wait 5-10 min as room wasn't ready. Another person came in & got their key quickly. Next Am @8 tried to go out to "private" porch to make a call & not wake my fiance only to find a construction worker setting up. Huge fan in front of room entrance, tarps all over the place, drilling, sawing of wood. 3-5 men right outside our room all day. Sawdust covering everything. Chairs & table on "private" entrance moved. Asked for another room, but told they were sold out. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

Very irresponsible front desk attendant. 3 groups of customers including us waited 1 hour and a half for attendant to show up. We tried every phone number listed online and nobody answered us. The attendant finally showed up after we just canceled the booking. He did not apologize for the inconvenience at all but rather blua-ed about how the booking is non-refundable. read more

Lovely, quaint, and quiet. Location was excellent for us. Close to Duval without all the noise. Shuttle bus stopped just up the street. Highlights were definitely the staff (Foster and Carlos were standouts) and the pool area. Our room could've used an update as well as a loveseat/table (there was plenty of room). Window shades were all broken so they were hard to open to let in light. Would stay there again though. Lots of positives! read more

We loved staying here. Definitely a great place for adults and those looking to party. So close to Duval st. Lots of dining and drinking. We rarely had to drive anywhere. Pool is great! Clean and comfortable, and it's open 24 hours, same as the hot tub. Our room was very clean and plenty of space. My only complaint was the A/C unit, it was so loud. But it's part of the island norm to have window ac instead of internal ac so I just got some ear plugs. No problem. Check in was easy (happy hour!), we found our room no problem. We got a massage package, and the place was right next door! Would definitely stay here again! read more

I Don't know how this place got 4 stars.. There's roaches and termites in each room. The landlord will barge into your house and barge into your bedroom the second the rent is due. You're better off Finding something that is 2,400 or lower. read more

We have stayed at the Paradise several times. When we first arrived we had to wait till at least 4 pm to access our room. Which wasn't great as we had rode a motorcycle from Miami and were ready to relax and change. We stayed in 1 of the larger cottages and found the floor to be caving in in the living area. Both bathrooms had some type of little bugs around the sink. When I told the front desk he didn't seem to care much. The other item is.. I realize it's covid times but they are not cleaning any rooms while staying here. For paying the price we do there should be a credit or some consideration. We will be looking for another property next month when we return. read more

This hotel...and honestly I wouldn't even call it a hotel...it's so much more personal than a hotel...really lives up to its name. The Florida Keys stand alone IMO far as paradise goes...but this review is for The Paradise Inn, not the Keys. We arrived late by cab, but still, checking in was a breeze. The sweet guy who was there to greet us was so nice and not at all upset at the late hour of our arrival. He was ever so helpful about making sure we were all squared away with our bike rentals before we were off to our room. You don't drive in Key West. You walk or bike it. We knew this but hadn't made previous bike rentals. No worries, though. The hotel anticipated this and set us up with a bike rental company who came and met us there at the hotel the next morning. The rooms are all spacious and suite like with a living room area and a separate bedroom. The bed is comfy and there's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Breakfast is included in the rate and it consists of fresh fruits, yogurt and pastries. Beautiful place, beautiful space and wonderful customer service. Love it! read more

Heads up, this place is NOT kid friendly. They made no effort to let us know this information prior to arriving and we were forced to find an alternative place to stay for our family of 7 last minute. The guy was extremely disrespectful & made no effort to help us find accommodations and couldn't get ahold of the owner. Do not book a trip to this hotel if you can't make it for whatever reason even if you're dying they will take all of your money. Me and my girlfriend were gonna come here and we both got covid we tried calling them multiple times to cancel before there stupid cancellation policy couldn't be stopped and they didn't pick up any of our calls. We had to leave an email telling them our situation and they straight up took all three grand and told us it was because we didn't cancel in time even though we tried calling them and they just didn't answer their phones so even though we were sick and we couldn't travel and we tried canceling in the allotted time frame they still took all of our money. We stayed just above the pool and spa, and all of the staff were very helpful. When we go back to the Keys, we will be staying here for sure again! Have stayed multiple times at the Paradise Inn and enjoyed our stays. Booked our most recent trip but the Inn ended up closing due to the Covid-19. BUT they will not refund us for our stay and have issued a credit for us to use within 1 year!!! Not sure that I'm able to come back next year and at this point I will NEVER stay at the Paradise Inn ever again nor recommend it to anyone. What horrible customer service! read more

Our family of 4 booked this 2 bedroom cottage though Airbnb with Ethan. Received a welcome email confirmation the same day. However, he canceled 5 days prior to our arrival. Ethan said that because of a glitch in their system, it should have restricted reservations to a 30 day minium. Trying to replace this confirmed reservation with only five days until we fly in was financially damaging!!! A simple solution would have been to let us stay the night we reserved, however he decided to put us on the street. It's an integrity issue. read more

Our 5 night stay at Paradise Inn was wonderful! I would suggest a stay here to anyone visiting the island. It is an adult only Inn with about 18 units. We stayed in the Gumbo Limbo cottage that had 2 porches, a king bed, microwave & mini fridge, and a little living room with sofa & tv. There is breakfast every morning including coffee, tea, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins and such...there is also happy hour every day with wine & cheese from 5-7pm! Happy hour is a nice start to your evening! Great location just one block off Duval Street in Old Towne Key West. Everyone we encountered at the Inn was very helpful and personable. We got in early and were able to drop our luggage off and hang by the pool until our room was ready. Only stayed one night and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to say the least. There is onsite parking, but for $25 plus tax a day. The location is great though being that it is only a block away from Duval and about a 15min walk to the Southernmost Point and Hemingway House. Its close enough to everything to be very convenient, yet also far enough away to be very quiet in the evenings. The grounds are well maintained and the room very clean. I love the cottage feel of the rooms. The classic peppermint patties on our pillows were also a cute touch! Our double queen bed room was very spacious. The linens were clean and the beds comfortable. They offer a complimentary wine and cheese happy hour every night for a few hours in the lobby which enabled us to meet some of our neighbors and get a wonderful dinner suggestion. For breakfast they offered a variety of items such as bagels, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and cereal along with Starbucks coffee and a variety of teas. Even after we checked out, they allowed me to leave my car parked on the property for a few hours so we could still explore Key West a little longer before having to drive home. That was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be close enough to the action to walk, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. I just wish they were pet friendly too so I could come back with my dogs :) read more

Beautiful hotel, great location, reasonable rates-- in downtown Key West! At about $200 a night, this was more than we were hoping to spend on a hotel room, but it turned out to be well worth it. The location is just a block away from the center of downtown Key West and an easy walk to either side of the island. Being a block away from Duval St, though, is just far enough that the noise and crowds are hardly noticeable from this location. Onsite (gated) parking is included in the room rate, so once you're parked you don't really need to move the car again till you're leaving (this is a major bonus in a town where parking can be expensive and hard to come by). The grounds here are beautiful-- full of tropical plants and flowers and featuring an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and koi pond. The room was also great: a king suite with a sleeper sofa in the living room, it's own private deck area with a table and chairs, and a mini-kitchen area (fridge, coffee pot, microwave). The manager, Conrad, was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly-- gladly offering advice on where to go (and where not to go) during our visit. The grounds and hotel staff here had also done an outstanding job at keeping everything clean, orderly, and in good working order. I would happily stay here again if looking to book a room for a couple of days in Key West! read more

We booked this place through hotwire using the tool that lets you say how nice of hotel you want and the general area of it. We really lucked out and got this place for around $125 less per night than it was going for other places. First check in is 4 pm which is a bit on the late side. We arrived around 3 not knowing this. Luckily they have on site parking for $25 per night (your other option is street parking which is next to impossible to find most of the year). We elected to pay to park on site and they allowed us to park and walk around the area while they finished cleaning our room. When we returned from walking down to Duval St (just a block away) we went to our room which was very nice. It was clean and everything was in it's place. They left york peppermint patties on the pillows. The pool is not heated but even in January it was warm enough to swim in comfortably. The hot tub was small but adequate for the size of the motel. It was set to the perfect temperature where you could sit in it for 30 minutes and not be too hot or cold. The staff (especially Jim) were great. They were very knowledgeable of the area and were very responsive / friendly. They were some of the most professional hotel / motel staff that I've come across while still feeling genuine and not fake. We will be staying here anytime we return to Key West. read more

One criticism (and I hope the management is reading this) is the smell. The office was all jazzed up on crappy plug in air freshener and everytime they made up our room, they sprayed something similar all over the place. Aaargh! Stop with the cheap perfume. read more

This is a beautiful place to stay in Key West. It really has that authentic "Key West" atmosphere, and it is in a central, convenient location. The staff is friendly and helpful; they were willing to go above and beyond to give personal customer service. There is a happy hour everyday with free wine and cheese!
