Smells wonderful and so many fun and unique items! I grew up visiting Carlton cards and I see this store as kind of an extension of that with a bit more zing. Makes me feel nostalgic about the past. Today I went to pickup my Jellycat Bashful Bunny keychain and the lady at the counter had her back to me initially as she was working on something. When she turned around, she took me by surprise in a good way by greeting me very joyfully. Her exuberant energy stood out to me. It was 30 minutes till the store would close so I guess in the back of my mind it would've been any other typical interaction but it put a smile on my face. She then helped me very efficiently. I would visit again. They limit their Jellycat purchases to 4 per customer, just as a heads up since they're so popular. If you factor in convenience the pricing is pretty decent considering the items are priced similarly and getting them in person you wouldn't have to pay for shipping. My bunny looks a little bit drowsy but it's so soft and fun- I love it!

The store has a small coffee shop inside, offering both food and drinks. A large bakery assortment and several savory options like quiche fill the showcase. Freshly baked cakes, pies, pastries, and other goodies line the display cases and look very inviting... The shop also has a retail section with Boonton-themed T-shirts, soaps, and seasonal décor items (this time, Christmas décor was on display). The place has a really nice vibe. I ordered a hazelnut coffee with a slice of banana cake and enjoyed my time here...

Then told me I couldn't bring anything in and then walked off to continue his conversation with his buddy. Now I respect policies but this dude is something else. Theres a lot of ways to approach the situation and the way this old guy handled it, was not it. He thinks he's some sort of marshall and has no concept of how to talk to people even though he's dealt with the community for years. If you want to try bringing in your stuff, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Im sure their overall service is good but he needs a complete attitude adjustment or retire.

The last few years things have changed and two weeks ago my Mom was treated with disrespect because she has not been in for "quite a while and you need to be a steady customer to come there". I heard about this and just felt the need to tell you how awful it made her feel. She was so upset and has now decided to never walk in that store again. Not shy from Elder abuse you should be ashamed of yourself! I hope this review helps others spare your loved ones the same treatment! Shameful!!!!!

Lovely gift shop when you needed a quick present. And they would gift wrap for free. I don't know what happened. I think ownership changed and it's a completely different environment. Pharmacists are rude. They act annoyed if you want a side conversation about your prescription. And what is with the change of your hours?? Closing at 6:00 during the week and totally closed on Sundays?!? I'll be moving all my scripts to another location. Maybe I'll shop your other items when they are on sale. Gift shop items are now pricey compared to other locations and on line prices. I will grab my greeting cards at the dollar store from now on. What's with the pull down metal security gates?!?

This was in Booton, NJ, on the way back to Syracuse, NY. The shop was a large room with tables for open gaming and tournaments, and the walls were lined with merchandise for sale--ranging from board games to trading cards. There was plenty of light, and the people playing Magic towards the back were very friendly and welcoming. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice! The coolest part is you can ask for the secret password, based on a quest posted outside the space down the road a little bit, and you can get into the Gaming Lounge addition. When you go in to the Gaming Lounge, it feels like you're stepping into some kind of hobbit hole, and the further back you go, the more space there is to play games with friends. There is even a fireplace! The space is super cozy and features a huge wall of games to play with friends. If I lived anywhere near by, I would go to this shop all the time! The cards they sold were even reasonably priced, so I also love that.

The shopkeeper listened intently while I told him what kind of gaming experience I was looking for. But it didn't go a lot farther than that. I wanted something narratively heavy, with less rule complexity and overhead than Lord of the Rings: Journeying through Middle Earth. He didn't really have an answer for me, and I felt I gave him a lot to work off of. To give you an idea how small this place is - the pictures in this review represent half the games in the store. There's one extra bookshelf that I didn't catch and there's a display case in front with CCG cards. Shopping experience aside, you can tell this place has a good community. There were four tables occupied in the back around 4 PM on a Saturday - maybe representing 10 people - and there's a big communal shelf you can draw from if you want to play in house. I'd come back to play and make new friends.
