I'm confused because there seems to be no one working other than the cashier. So, I ask him "is there a separate line for an in-store pick-up?" He says no. So I proceed to wait in this line for about 10 minutes. There are two people in front of me. Once I get to the front of the line, the cashier says that I can go to the next register as another cashier also just started their shift...So now, I have to wait an additional 5 minutes for this new cashier to put his cash box in the till, sign into the cash register, and start his job. Meanwhile, the original cashier that SHOULD have taken my order rings up the person behind me (who was waiting for about a minute) and they are in and out of the store while this other cashier is still trying to sign in. When he finally signs in, he tells me that my in-store pickup was canceled a few minutes ago (probably while I was waiting in line for them to do their job) and says that I can re-pick my items...I was starting to do that and then I said forget it and walked out. Again, 15 minutes spent waiting for an in-store pickup that couldn't be picked up. In store pick up typically means less time than actually shopping the store. But not at Five Below Plainville! The ineptitude here really is astounding. Will never bother to come here again.

You'll find everything from cell phone cases/chargers to board games to clothes. It is a fun place to shop. The staff too are always very friendly. Life got busy and well one day I was forced into a Hallmark store and now I'm hooked. Occasionally I will still construct my own cards but going to a Hallmark store usually sparks some creative juices. This is the ultimate card superstore! Tons and tons of cards (birthday, anniversary, children's, sympathy). The variety is amazing and the wording is perfect. When I need a card and don't have time to hand craft one this is the place I go. The only problem I have is narrowing down my selections. I think on my last trip I spent at least 30 minutes per card. I had so many to pick from, sure there's a markup but sometimes its worth it when you're lost for words. They seem to fill their store up with seasonal cards. Currently the entire store is stocked with Valentine's day items. I found the selection of birthday cards and thank yous to be skimpy. Online is the best place for Hallmark cards but half of the time I don't plan well in advance so off to the store I go. I like to see my cards in person and not a fan of mass produced cards. Hallmark cards are constructed better than other cards. I've had cards that were purchased awhile ago and they're in their original color no discoloration noted. Hallmark stores also carry Vera Bradley bags. Discontinued patterns are dirt cheap and there's always a great selection. I love particular store because it's a one stop shopping trip when adding the finishing touch to any gift. This Hallmark store is better than the one at the mall because I can spend hours reading the cards and not be bothered by other shoppers. For now Hallmark cards will do until I have time hand craft personalize cards again. Even if the stuff in here is expensive it is worth it when you only need one.

Tip top, five star review for this location. I was so happy to be treated as well as I was during…read moremy visit yesterday. We'll start with being extremely, horribly, terribly unhappy with the customer service of the web team. I ordered candles online and received them, last Saturday, all smashed. While I completely understand the fact that FedEx was culpable in the destruction of my order, THE COMPANY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SILENCE WHEN I CONTACTED THEM ABOUT IT. Not. One. Word. To me, that shows that they couldn't care less about me and my order as a very, very long time customer (MY FATHER BLESSED THE GROUND AT SOUTH DEERFIELD, IF YOU MUST KNOW--and before anyone reading this states it, I am fully aware that fact really doesn't matter. It gives context as to the longevity of my patronage). I wound up taking my package to this store and was treated with kindness, dignity and lickety split service. Management took one look at my poor box and jumped into high gear for me. I had a replacement candles in a matter of minutes. And while I have my new candles, I have a very, very bad taste in my mouth for the web services team. This treatment...prior to going to the store...is unacceptable. The service I received in the store was absolutely spectacular. Obviously, this is not Mr. Kittredge's Yankee Candle anymore. And yes, I could have gone to the store to make my purchase...if I'd had time. I got the BOGO email on the last day of the promotion, and could not get into the store that day. So...I tried to use the convenience of online sales. Nope, not convenient. I'm saddened with your lack of response.

And it's so much more than just a book store. They have crystals and stones, beads and jewelry making supplies, candles, candle holders, oils, incense, oils/tart warmers, and of course books. I spent hours in there! And I gladly would have spent more time but they were closing! There's just so much to see. And they have incredible deals! So many books are only 99¢ and any book priced at $4.99 is BOGO. And I was told that any book without a special price label is 50% off the retail price listed on the back of the book! Another cool thing that they offer is, let's say you find a book for $4.99, but can't find another book you want for $4.99 to take advantage of the BOGO, they will give you a voucher good for a free $4.99 book on your next visit! How awesome is that! The employees were so sweet and helpful, too! The owner introduced himself to me and we chatted for a while. When I told him how happy I was to find a book by Alan Watts that I had been searching for he then told me that he had a few more by him that weren't out on display yet and grabbed them for me! Exceptional customer service. There aren't many stores like this because it's not like your regular bookstore. The books range from metaphysics, philosophy, eastern religion, holistic/alternative medicine and so much more. I really can't wait to go back! Oh, and just a quick tip. It is a little hard to find. If you use GPS and pull into the parking lot, it's the furthest door from the entrance of the lot. It took me a good 5 mins to figure it out so hopefully that helps anyone who reads this!
