Stopped by The Palm deli recently and had a great experience. The food was exactly what you'd hope for from a local deli What really stood out, though, was the service. Cashier Barbara was incredibly nice -- welcoming, patient, and just had a great attitude overall. It made the whole visit feel more personal and enjoyable. You can tell they care about their customers. Definitely planning to come back. Places like this remind you why supporting local spots is worth it!

The breakfast burritos are what you want to get here. $10 in Apr '23 gets you a good size burrito and even includes avocado. Sandwiches are decent here but the value is less. You can choose off the menu or make your own burrito or sandwich. There is seating inside and out. It also has a small selection of wines and beer with some snacks as well. They also have a ready made section too. What's nice is it seems they incorporate local produce as well. The eggs are from Glaum which is great.

WOW. I can't believe I live so close to this treasure and it took me this long to try Palm Deli. I guess it's true what they say: good things come to those who wait! My expectations were low. I figured this is just a cafe with sandwiches and pasta but it is so much more than that. Like, damn this place has some good good sandwiches. Ericka's favorite was fantastic. It is a flat bread panini sandwich with turkey, pesto mayo, havarti, spinach, tomato, onion, and pepperoncinis! Very tasty! I kept thinking about it for hours after eating it. Would get again! We also got prime time at the Palm which has roast beef, cheddar, and sauteed sweet onions. Totes forgot to ask for horseradish sauce but we had some at home so it's all good. There is plenty of outdoor seating, vegetarian and gluten free options, ready made foods, and a ton of shelbes with snacks. Fyi they do not sell fries. I stood at the wrong area for probably 5 minutes or more before realizing that the area to pay is by the front door. There was nobody behind the counter or anyone waiting so I didn't think anything of it/ended up in the back of a long line. I was confused bc some ppl were getting their food and drinks from the display counter so I figured I'd pay after getting my food? Anyway, super cute little plaza with cottage style buildings and great food at Palm Deli! Will be returning!

Since the change of ownership the quality of food and customer service have gone down hill significantly with an increase in price. Simply put, it's just not good. I would recommend you go someplace (any place) else, like The Farm. I grew up coming here every day after school, but everything that made this place special is now gone. Don't waste your time.

Driving home from Manresa, we decided to grab lunch at this deli since it was nearby. Wasn't expecting much. Nothing on the menu was jumping out at me, so we settled for the following after asking the cashier for his recs: Grilled cheese: 4/5 oooey gooey thick melted cheese! Sooo good! Kids gobbled this down. Tri tip special: 5/5 wow packed with so much flavor! This was delicious! Ericka's favorite: 5/5 Ericka sure knows what a good sandwich tastes like. This sandwich looks semi healthy but totally hit the spot. So happy we found this deli. Will definitely be stopping by again when we are in the area. It's right off the fwy. There is a super cool tank right near the entrance door with pretty fish. We got our food and ate outside on the tables near the parking lot.

Eggs burnt Coffee creamer spoiled Bacon raw... all fat Great Breakfast, long time customer Bye bye

Used to be my go too Breakfast place until new ownership took over, now cheapest ingredients and inexperienced cooks. Bacon was 100% fat ! Called to talk with owner about my terrible breakfast experience (of course he wasn't in), politely asked him to call me back (zero response) after three days. My new favorite view of Palm Deli is now in my rear view mirror

Stopped in today to check the place out since I usually DoorDash my Açaí Bowls. They have SO MANY SANDWICH OPTIONS and i could tell by the amount of customers they had, this is a really popular deli! They seemed a little short staffed but I totally get it because just like them, most businesses are experiencing the same. The young crew they had working were great: very professional, attentive and on it. It took a while to get my order but was definitely worth the wait and the guys let me know it would be a little while. They were working their butts off back there!! If you haven't tried their açaí bowl, you should. They're fresh and filling with generous ingredients! The avo toast is a great choice too!

The Palm Veggie panini the the best. Absolutely amazing, and add turkey while you're at it.

Very courteous staff and really good food. I always get either a breakfast burrito that's nicely grilled or an Açaí bowl.

Started with a passionfruit bellini and ordered the Country Fried Steak and eggs. I liked that I could sub the home potatoes for really yummy french fries. Food came out really quick and like that you can sub 6 baby pancakes over the potatoes and toast. They were cute and fluffy. I got the biscuit and gravy with my steak and the gravy was a bit bland. The biscuit was fluffy but also a bit dry at the same time. Everything else was really tasty!

Red Apple Cafe was... alright. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. We spent…read moreabout $26 for two cups of coffee, a cinnamon roll, and a blueberry muffin, and overall it just didn't feel worth it. The coffee was pretty mediocre, nothing memorable, especially for a place that seems known for its baked goods. The cinnamon roll was honestly disappointing. It lacked flavor and wasn't as soft or fresh as you'd hope, especially for something that should be a standout item. The one redeeming factor was the blueberry muffin, which was actually really good. Moist, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the entire visit. Overall, it's a decent stop if you're already nearby, but not worth a special trip or the price point in my opinion.

When I say I've been coming to Sunrise Cafe for a long time, I'm not over-exaggerating. I used to…read morecome here every Sunday with my grandma growing up--this was my spot! Not to date myself, but that's in the range of ~30 years ago. We had a usual booth, usual orders, and we saw the same waitstaff and cooks every week. This was a tradition I looked forward to all week long, since it was one of the only times I got to eat breakfast out at a restaurant regularly. While I live up in The Peninsula now, my parents are still down in Aptos. It was long overdue, but I had been telling my wife for years when we'd drive by the story of how I used to go there, and she'd always suggest that we go back one day. Well friends, that day finally came! On a recent trip to visit my folks and a childhood friend, we decided to take a family outing to Sunrise Cafe on Sunday morning for a good ol' nostalgic breakfast. PARKING: There is both street parking, and a dedicated lot in the back. Since the main entrance is located right on Soquel, I definitely recommend using the back for a more private and safe parking option. They also have an entrance in the back so you don't have to walk all the way around! SEATING: You check in towards the front end of the counter, where the register is. Since we came on a Sunday, it was full when we got there. There's a counter with eight (8) seats, as well as a half dozen or so booths on the left as you come in the front, and some other seating on the right. It did appear as if they shortened the tables, as they didn't reach out to the end of the booth seats. We ended up having to wait around 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad. DRINKS: They have a lot of the standards you'd expect to find at a cafe. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice (apple, orange, grapefruit, cranberry), soda (Coke products), iced tea, and mimosas ($6.50!). A few of us ordered coffee--good, not epic. The OJ is from concentrate, otherwise I would have ordered a glass. FOOD: A nice 3-page menu of breakfast and lunch options. Many of the standards, with combos of eggs and breakfast meats (bacon, sausage, ham, Linguisa, chicken apple sausage). There's a list of scrambles, omelets, eggs Benedict, and "Solar Delights" which has corned beef & hash, country fried steak, and a tofu veggie dish. For lunch they have a variety of sandwiches (hot & cold), burgers, and salads. We went for breakfast, and between the four of us we ordered: Sunrise Special (2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, home fries & toast or biscuit), French toast, corned beef & hash, and the Western Scramble (Corralitos jalapeño sausage, onion, topped with 2 scrambled eggs, chili beans & cheddar cheese). The food was all solid. The corned beef was chunky and seemed fresher than "from the can". The French toast looked tasty, and my dad said he liked it. My mom enjoyed her Sunrise Special, as a standard cafe breakfast. I ordered the Western Scramble and it was pretty wild; a huge mound of hearty deliciousness. It was enough food that I was able to take some of it, plus half a biscuit home and enjoy it for another breakfast a few days later. The potatoes were one of my favorite things growing up, so I do wish I had ordered a side, or something that allowed me to enjoy them on their own. OVERALL: This was a great nostalgia meal, and I'm super glad I came back. We found out that they changed ownership around four (4) years ago, so while it's not quite the exact same place, it's pretty darn close. I appreciate the friendly and hardworking staff, and will definitely come back on a future visit home! IG: @bbnem.eats

The eggs were dry, the sausage was too (and I love corralitos sausage!). The potatoes didn't have a lot of flavor. The best thing was the carrot muffin. My husband had the pancake special. Unfortunately, nothing special about that dish. We've had some good meals here, but the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up! I understand that everything is going up, but the quality should be the same. We were both disappointed.
